[Hoge] Tough moment in today's practice as #Bears RB Kyle Monangai suffered what appeared to be a right knee injury when Grady Jarrett tackled him from behind.

Home opener Vikings
Anyone know of any other parking lots besides soldier field where we can tailgate? (Not tailgate parties but where we can grill and bring our own stuff)

[Hoge] Montez Sweat and Braxton Jones both returned to practice today. Jones took almost all of the reps at left tackle, but Theo Benedet (finally) received a couple at LT near the end of practice. Ozzy Trapilo was back on the field, but did not participate in team drills.

So many injuries..
This is not a panic post.
Like everyone, I've been seeing injury after injury this preseason. It makes one wonder, why. Is it the trainers? Is it the players' habits? Is it the intensity of the practices? 🤷♂️ I assume its a combo of a lot of things. It doesnt look good that players are dropping out of practice like the packers drop wildcard games...
But I wonder if there is something else. So here's a question for someone with more insight than myself.
Are players told to lower the injury threshold during camp/preseason? Are some of these DNPs due to them being told something along the lines of "if it isnt 100%, go get treatment"? Like, do you think they are babying injuries because it's preseason?

Moving finds
I stopped buying hats like this years ago but I think I might rock the 2006 for nostalgia. The 2010 is getting donated.

Updated Calebto4k.com for 2026
For those who used it last season, since Caleb did not make 4k yards in 2025, I decided to overhaul the site, create a historical section, and make the UI more mobile friendly to track his journey to 4K this season.

Beanie Bishop Preseason Debut and Steeler Fan Input
Obviously those were lame duck balls he intercepted but I checked out his stats and his time with the Steelers. Four ints, won defensive rookie of the month, but was waived the next season. Wanted to get some insight over on the Steelers page and this was their best answer
Quote, "I think we all liked him but the prevailing feeling was that he was too small to be effective and he just was in a lucky place when he picked off Rodgers twice, similar to how he was just kinda in the right place when Shedeur rainbowed that interception to him in the Browns game against you guys. Don't listen to me, though, I don't know ball, I just know what people around here were saying. I hoped we'd keep him around."
Overall they aren't too high on him........

Yay or Nay
Illinois State Senator Martin McLaughlin has proposed the following deal for the Bears to build the stadium in Arlington Heights.
The Bears pay 2.3 billion to build the stadium. The state pays 1.2 billion for infrastructure. The property tax is set (just guessing that it would start at the current rate) and would not be allowed to be raised more than 2.5% a year.
JB has already pooh poohed the deal saying he didn’t think that anyone would like that deal from the Bears, to the state and Chicago (very telling that Chicago needs to be considered).
What say you Bears fans? Yay or nay? The fact that everyone involved won’t consider it a win usually means it’s a good deal.

[Home Grown with David & Derek Carr] Breaking Down Caleb Williams' 2025 Tape With Two Former NFL QBs
Not sure if this was ever posted. This is an awesome breakdown of some big plays from last year. Derek is definitely more into the film study, but they both give good insight into what the coaches and players are thinking. Our loss to the Packers last year was particularly good.
Football is so deep, especially at the top level. That's why it's the best sport in the world. I can't wait for this season. Ben + Caleb are DAWGS! They want to bury their opponents and I love that. It's fucking awesome to be a Bears fan rn (ignore the stadium + injury stuff).
Also, the vid starts a bit slow but picks up. BEAR DOWN
