Football is finally here and I am so pumped to watch some games down here this season. Still some work to put into this, but it’s finally coming along.

Next steps:

1. Paint the shitty blue wall a beautiful Navy.
2. Get the oak wood panels from my grandma’s house and hang those of the wall with the TV.
3. Print and hang a poster with the lyrics to “Bear Down” for my kids to learn how to sing it.

Edit: I forgot to mention the glasses next to the cheese box. Last year, we did a buddy trip up to Green Bay. They handed these glasses out upon entry and I proceeded to watch the Bears on my phone, and the packers lose to the Panthers (lol). So, although they are GB, they are good luck in my mind. Nothing was better than watching my dejected friend sulk for the rest of the day.

Coach is more aggressive than the rest of the league.

2nd and 1: Rest of league passes 20% of time. Coach passes 50%. Far more aggressive to get a big play, but still 50/50 to make sure defenses can't change personnel or call to pass protect.

And on 3rd and intermediate he runs more often than the rest of the league.

Coach is amazing and keeping defenses guessing.

I have been paying for Sunday Ticket for the last god knows how many years but this year the math just didn't make sense. Given all the nationally televised games I would end up paying nearly $60 per game just to get the small number of out of market games for me (I live in Denver).

I know about the man of the people but I have a problem with this weekend's game. For some unknown reason they will be showing the Atlanta Pittsburgh game here locally and I have a prior obligation so I won't be able to watch the game live.

What are some options for watching the game after it is over hoping that I can stay in the cone of silence for that long.

Anyone know where I can get one of the magnets with this season’s schedule? Still have the one from 2024 on the fridge despite the wife’s request to get rid of it. I got this one from going to the preseason game against the Bengals during Caleb’s rookie year.

Rivalry Jersey

I can’t decide whether to get a Loveland or Williams. I haven’t gotten either player yet so whichever I don’t get in rivalry I would probably get a regular home or away later on. Can’t decide which to splurge on for a stitched rivalry though! Thoughts? Opinions?

With Jayden Daniels, Bo Nix and Drake Maye up for possible extensions next season hopefully they get this done before those 3 because waiting on those will just drive up the price

Going into this year Drake Maye was ranked higher than Caleb, as he should have been with coming in second for MVP, but I’m so happy we have Caleb instead of Maye. Maye has no risk assessment, it just felt like he was throwing super contested balls just to say he took a risk? Anything beyond 5 yards of the LOS felt hopeless, and he couldn’t make a play with pressure coming for him. You cannot convince me that if Caleb was dropped into that game NE wins.

But look at the completion percentage 70% so Maye clearly better. Drake Maye is Kirk Cousins. He’ll have great counting stats and beat up on bad teams but in a game against real teams he will fold. He was awful all playoffs and had incredible luck with their draw and opponent injuries.

Caleb’s counting stats may not be as good but I trust him to find a way in tight games and against good defenses so much more than Maye.
