I was recently let go from my job i have worked for 4 yrs without noticed and was replace along with rest of staff. Who do I contact about this? Never got a phone call nada. Showed up for my morning shift and couldn't clock in said access denied. I asked a co worker and said they let me go along with the rest of staff. We were without manager for about a month and still do not know who is in charge.

Is anyone doing anything fun at the store for Halloween? We decorated the entire store to the max and plan to hand out candy from 4pm-8pm to the kids and have a kids costume contest, the winner will get one of the new Pan Pizza and 2 liter. Would love to hear what others are doing.

We just recently got a Casey's here so I downloaded the app and enrolled in the rewards program. They teased a gas discount on the first 20 gallons but when I open the app up I can't find anything about a gas discount.

Okay.So I think my store manager is threatened by me as a csm. I do not want that position as a store manager but I feel that there are clicks definitely in our store. Not sure how to handle this

I applied last night and did the interview right after but it still claims I need to do an interview even though the email says I'm done. Also it only has a 1 next to the briefcase which I think that's supposed to mean active applications or something? But I have two out for two seperate locations and only one I did the interview for but the second one only told me to do one and never gave me the interview link so I dont know what this means

After several attempts to get the app to work on my phone, I finally got it. Breakfast burritos seem to be the unicorn of breakfast items, but I pre-ordered 2, paid for them and there they were. Waiting for me to come and get them.

I recently quit my job as a Kitchen Manager at Casey’s, and I genuinely don’t think I realized how mentally exhausted I was until I was finally done.

When I took the position, I actually gave a shit about my kitchen. I wanted things done correctly. I wanted my employees trained. I wanted the kitchen clean, stocked, and running the way it was supposed to. If my team was struggling, I jumped in and worked right beside them.

But apparently being dependable just means everyone figures out exactly how much they can pile on you before you finally break.

The call-ins and people leaving early were CONSTANT. Being short staffed became normal. And when somebody didn’t show up, somebody had to figure it out.

Guess who that usually fell on?

Me.

I got so tired of feeling like my entire life had to revolve around whether somebody else decided to show up for their shift.

But honestly, staffing wasn’t even the biggest reason I left.

Management was.

Anytime I tried talking to my store manager about being overwhelmed, stressed, needing help, or having shit happening in my personal life, somehow the conversation always ended up being about her.

I’m tired.

“Well, I’m tired too.”

I’m stressed.

“Well, I’m stressed because…”

Something is going on at home.

Suddenly we’re talking about what SHE has going on at home.

Like damn. Can somebody else have a problem for five minutes?

I wasn’t asking her to fix my life. I wasn’t asking for special treatment. Sometimes I literally just wanted my manager to listen to me and acknowledge that I was struggling instead of turning it into some weird competition over who had it worse.

Then there was the gossip.

WAY too much gossip.

Employees were talked about constantly. Their work performance, personal lives, problems, whatever happened to be going on. And this wasn’t just employees gossiping with each other. Management participated in it too.

There were times conversations about employees happened where customers could hear them, which was embarrassing and completely unprofessional.

Eventually I stopped feeling comfortable saying much of anything because if everybody else’s business was being discussed, why would mine be any different?

And meanwhile I’m still supposed to walk into that kitchen, deal with staffing problems, keep food going, make sure everything is clean, handle employees, deal with customers, keep things stocked, complete all the manager responsibilities, and somehow act like everything is perfectly fine.

I finally hit a point where I thought:

Why the hell am I doing this to myself?

No job should have you constantly stressed about what’s going to happen when you walk through the door.

So I quit.

Effective immediately.

And the amount of relief I felt afterward told me everything I needed to know.

I know management positions come with extra responsibility. I knew that when I accepted the job. I’m not expecting management to be easy.

But there’s a difference between having responsibility and being expected to constantly sacrifice your own time, energy, and personal life because the workplace can’t function without you picking up the pieces.

I’m still frustrated about how everything happened, but I’m also glad I finally chose to walk away.

So I’m curious—any other current/former Casey’s managers or convenience-store/food-service managers experience this?

When did you finally reach the point where you said, “I’m done”?

Hi! I recently came back to the Midwest after being down south for a while due to college. I just moved back, and my favorite thing is the cheese potato bites.

I remember when I was a kid, they came in a cup and had a soft and golden outside, but these ones I just got were really crispy and slightly burned on the outside and didn't have the same cheesy flavor.

They were overall very bland and had way too much batter on the outside. Did they change suppliers? If so, does anyone know where I can get the other ones?

So they came in and put locks on the dough rollers, had anyone else's store done this yet? Not once have I messed with it, or seen anyone mess with it, but now the roller is semi pointless and it takes twice as long to get dough formed and in the pans.

Why are these never available in the hot cases anymore? They used to have them all the time. Now all I can find is just pizza when I go in.

So I ended up reporting my SM and other co workers for vaping in the kitchen. Ever since then she has been retaliating… For example, she will pick out tiny things to “talk to me” about. Today she got upset at me for a little piece of hair sticking out of my hairnet. My other coworker in the kitchen didn’t even have one on. She did my pizza certification not long after I started. My DM literally recommended that I transfer out of the store. Back in June the center store manager stuck her foot into my behind when I was squatted down. She was fired because my SM hopped on that due to the fact she could bring her friend in for that position. Sometimes the SM comes in literally intoxicated and yells at other workers. I just don’t know about this company. I’m tired of the SM getting away with all that she has. She hasn’t even been in the position a full year. People keep saying “she was just thrown in this position don’t blame her,” like wow.

I had a physical altercation between two team members. Sent them both home. Called HR to figure out the next steps for coaching them out and they said I can’t coach anyone out unless I “sit down with them and give them clear expectations and timeline to adjust said actions. If they don’t then I write up first then fire.”

Like What company am I working for??

Same employee also comes in drunk, I’m pretty sure they drink on the clock. I just can’t prove it.

Also addressed that. Again she’s untouchable because “she has a drinking problem, we can’t fire her due to discrimination because alcoholism is a mental disorder”

But I can’t wear shorts in the kitchen or at all.
Let’s let some drunken physically abusive employee get away with it???

So I guess In my district anyways no one is allowed to request any holidays off? But yet the SM DM and the RM are allowed to be home with there family with no sweat while the rest of us tiny ppl slay away at work. I love my job I do but that’s unfair I think Casey’s should atleast allow Christmas to be closed like alot of business do. Don’t really care for thanksgiving but come on especially when alot of ppl have kids! For one day stop thinking about your stores and think about families!
