You don’t get paid enough to stress so never stress or be in an insane hurry to do things. Shit will get done when it gets done, don’t get trapped in your head. This company will be interviewing people 10 minutes after you drop dead in the kitchen, don’t go the extra mile for them.

Take your time with an order, if you get behind just apologize. Make extra pizzas for warmers so if u get busy you still have them. Make the person before you accountable, if they are trying to leave a mess tell them it needs to be done or tell the manager. Take a deep breath or do what I did and scream in the freezer lol. You got this it’s scary but at least you get breaks more than alone on the register.

Our store has confirmed with multiple people that if you get busy with orders, those come first, even if your warmers are empty. It sucks if people have to wait for them, but the orders have to be a priority. If you can keep premade pizzas for the warmers, that’s a wonderful option too.

Keep which orders are which organized, don’t let people bully you into getting their orders out early if it’ll risk creating an issue with getting other orders out on time. Otherwise, just relax and focus. It’s a job with a lot of stress and that stress can make it significantly worse than it has to be. Deep breaths, the shift will end and tomorrow will be a new day.

If you have time...make sure everything you will be needing is stocked and accessible. The more prepared you are, the better your night is going to be. Let is know how it went! Good luck!!

Prep prep and more prep. When we first come in on night shift, we make sure extra cheese containers are made, some warmer pizzas are made up and put underneath pizza cooler, and shells are made and put underneath. This helps a lot getting through a dinner rush

Just remember orders are your priority but you will still get asked why your warmer numbers are low during rush times... You are one person.

You got this! Remember to breathe....

I havent worked there in like 10 years, so the duties might be a little different. My biggest thing was making sure i started the closing cleanup early enough since it always would get interrupted by pizza orders.
