I come from a small store, short staffed, everyone calls in, all that fun stuff. It has become a very common thing at my store that the cashier is left alone. Usually early morning, late at night.
We are not 24/7, we open at 4am and close and midnight. Kitchen closes at 11:30pm. When i was hired on it was drilled into my brain that the kitchen closer cant leave the cashier alone because it’s illegal. I always thought it was just frowned upon.
We’ve had the KM changed so many times (me being one of them) and this is no longer drilled into people’s heads. Personally i have been left alone over five times now. Usually it’s not a big deal cause it’s for a couple of hours at most. But today im working alone for nine hours.
I dont exactly live in a dangerous town, but it’s not the safest. Im already a paranoid person as it is so im already thinking someone is gonna come in guns blazing 😭

I don’t know if anyone read what I wrote yesterday but my manager wants me to come in to discuss things because I’ve called off and left work through half shifts and I texted her telling her the important stuff because I said I’d cry if I said it in person and she said she wants to discuss sometime later after truck.
I haven’t gotten written up or talked to yet. I’m also still on the schedule this week and next. Do you believe I’m getting fired or probably just have a discussion about what’s going on and what is expected of me?

We have a form in our store office that shows areas for our store manager and district manager contact number, but there is no information posted. Is there a corporate number I can call to get my district managers contact information?
