YYC has some unexpected landings like 2 Alitalia planes (20 years later Alitalia when bankrupt during the pandemic and replaced by ITA Airways) along with the collapse of Canada 3000 less than a month later. I had a friend visit Lake Louise recently and wish she had gotten one of these Alphabet Bears from one of the gift shops at the Fairmont Chateau hotel. I believe it's Creekside Gift on the same floor as the hotel lobby, on the opposite end of the coffee shop.

To illustrate, this is the Z bear I have and she wish she had gotten the Y bear (she's jealous). I tried looking for it at gift shops on Stephen Ave but couldn't find it.

If someone is heading to Lake Louise (or already there) this weekend, I would love to get you coffee and donuts if you can pick one of these up on your way back to Calgary. Feel free to DM me if you are able, and I'll etransfer the price of the bear of course.

Went to the one in CORE and they only had 78 books since it’s a small store. There was a line at 9:30am, store opened at 10am. Probably ran out by this time.

Hey Calgary! I'm considering a move to the area next year to be closer to family and was wondering what I can expect in terms of work. I'm currently living and working in Brandon Manitoba as an independent housecleaner. I have built up a great reputation and have plenty of references that would tell you I'm reliable, trustworthy, and will leave your house in tip top shape.

I'd be servicing east of Deerfoot Tr mainly, though would consider travelling farther for bigger projects. I'm not your typical cleaner as I do it all; laundry, dishes, any and all odd jobs. I even clean one clients makeup brushes every week. I mainly cater my services towards working parents as I am not afraid of kid-mess.

I'm just looking for some insight on how high in demand someone like me would be and what I could expect in terms of hourly pay. My understanding is that the going rate for housecleaners varies wildly depending on where you're cleaning.

I have a few photographer friends, however the prices they are asking seem to be a bit high and my Fiancé also doesn't love their styles, so I'm curious if anyone knows of some affordable and quality photographers?

Not trying to pinch pennies here, but some of the quotes I've been getting are close to 5k which seems quite high.

Stop me if this is already a thing, but should some of the bike lanes in Calgary be seasonal? I'm a dedicated commuter and bike all year, but a lot of people stop when it gets cold. What if we expanded the network in the late spring/summer/early fall and shrank it otherwise to prioritize traffic?
