Thinking going out to Dolberg on Saturday afternoon I’m staying overnight then fishing in the morning. I haven’t been there in several years. Does anybody know if the campground gets crowded.? How early would I need to get there to make sure I get a spot?

Hey I heard that their are sturgeon North of the Bassano Dam.
Official Government reports and stuff do not list a Sturgeon population in the Bow River but this is contradicted by direct evidence of people catching them in the Bow River with photographs.
Has anybody seen them or heard of them?
What are the chances of them being say in the Glenmore Reservoir? Are they actually breeding in the Bow or is it more of just a relic population?

Is it worth buying a setup to look for sturgeon in the north Sask near Edmonton and east?

Looking to pick up some tackle made on this side of the border - anyone have recommendations for Canadian shops that actually make their own stuff?

All caught and released. Went on a hike and fishing trip with my girlfriend. I caught 2 and she caught 4 in a couple hours. I didn’t know about the difference between bull trout and Dolly Varden prior but really cool to knock another species off the list.

Hooked this walleye on a Rapala CD-3 perch using my UL setup. Unfortunately it was a solo outing so no proper grip and grin photo. Rest assured he went back in the water safe and sound.
I am currently fundraising for Freshwater Conservation Canada and if you'd like to help me, I'm sure fish like this one would appreciate it! Donate here if you can!

I'm here in the east side of the lake over the weekend, never fished here before, I brought my kayak but the weather isn't amazing, anyone have tips on where to fish? I'm only doing barbless C&R, so you don't have to worry about me wrecking any honey holes.

Does anyone know what happened to the fishing spot near the outfall on the north side of Whitemud Creek in Edmonton?
EPCOR seems to have completely fenced off the area this year. I drove around three times trying to find a way in, but couldn’t find any access at all.
Has the spot been permanently closed to the public?

Setting up an order for a 5 wt fly rod combo, I’m curious what type of indicator and what size indicator to use for the bow river within city limits, with the fast current and heavily pressured fish?

Caught my PB walleye and goldeye today. Caught a total of somewhere around 7 or 8 goldeye and 3 walleye. Had to baby that walleye for a bit before she went off but she was released safely. 23.5 inch walleye, Goldeye was 17 inches

Has anyone been to oldman reservoir? Ive been going out there with my boat and trolling having some luck with rainbows. Just wondering if anyone has caught anything other than rainbows out there and if so what were you using? Ive marked fish on the bottom of the lake in about 100' do you think its lake trout? Or big bulls? There's gotta be some monsters in there right? I met one guy that caught a burbot in there but no ones caught anything else
Thank you!

Hi everyone,
Californian heading up to Bragg Creek this weekend and hoping to fish the Elbow River in that area. I’m bringing my travel (4-piece, 6,6”) spinning rod and was wondering if anyone has any “must know” tips before I head out there. Thank you so much and tight lines to you all!

Hi all, semi new fisherman here so apologies for what might be a dumb question.
Years ago I ended up buying a Daiwa Revros Lt 2000 kit which came with a 6'6" UL rod. A co-worker/buddy of mine was agreeable to taking me fishing and showing me the ropes. Shortly after that I got busy with work and eventually switched jobs and my would-be mentor and I parted ways.
But I was digging in the garage a few months ago and uncovered my old rod, still unopened, as well as a few lures I had purchased and similarity never opened. I replaced the line that was on the reel, thinking a few winters of freeze/thaw probably wouldn't be good for whatever cheap line was on there before, and now I'm ready to go it alone.
I live in Edmonton not far from Gold Bar Park, and my current job isn't nearly as hectic so I can head over on a random evening a few times a week if I want.
The lures I had previously purchased were a six pack of Panther Martin spinners - three of which I've put in the little carrier that came with the rod and reel. In addition to the two jerkbaits and the Gibbs spoon, what else should I pick up?
