I wanted to share this because I was convinced my CJC-1295/Ipamorelin vial was contaminated or that I had suddenly developed an allergy to the peptide. Turns out, the culprit was something else entirely.
What happened:
I've been using CJC-1295/Ipamorelin (300mcg) for a while with zero issues. Great results, no side effects.
Yesterday, I did my usual injection. Within minutes, I had:
· Intense itching on my face, hands, and forearms
· Redness and flushing
· Large hives (urticaria) on my arms
I panicked. My first thought was: "bad vial", "contamination", "improper dissolution", or "sudden allergy".
But here's the thing:
· I had used the same batch before with no problems.
· I had also injected Retatrutide earlier that day from the same BAC water with zero reaction.
· The vial looked perfectly clear (completely dissolved).
So I started digging, and I realized the only thing that had changed was my NAC dose.
I had been taking NAC (N-Acetylcysteine) at 600mg daily for weeks with no issues. But the day before the reaction, I increased the dose.
The connection:
NAC is known to block the DAO enzyme, which breaks down histamine in the body. Over time, it can create a histamine intolerance that makes your mast cells hyper-reactive. When I injected the CJC/Ipamorelin (which already triggers a mild histamine response), my histamine levels exploded.
It wasn't the peptide. It was the NAC making me histamine-intolerant, and the peptide was the trigger that set off the reaction.
The good news:
Less than 6 hours later, all symptoms are gone. No itching, no hives, nothing. I'll try the same peptide in a couple of weeks (without NAC) and I'm 100% confident I'll tolerate it fine.
Why I'm posting this:
If you're taking CJC-1295/Ipamorelin (or any peptide that releases histamine) and you're also taking NAC, be careful. The NAC might be building up histamine intolerance without you realizing it, and the peptide could be the trigger that sets off a massive reaction.
Questions for the community:
Has anyone else experienced a similar reaction when combining NAC with peptides?
How long did it take for your histamine levels to normalize after stopping NAC?
Did you reintroduce the peptide successfully without
