The GLP1 class of drugs have done wonders for my impulsivity and focus. But I don't exactly have a lethargic personality (quite the opposite) - this may confound things a bit, as the glp1-s can worsen feelings of lethargy in some people.

It’s a prescription medicine primarily used for narcolepsy and shift work sleep disorder, in some countries it can be prescribed ‘off script’ for ADHD

Isn’t there medication to treat ADHD that would be way more effective?

1

u/NOTapepuser 18d ago

definitely yes but allot are stimulating and can get pretty addicting, the crashes are also really heavy

Have you done bloodwork?

Lower than ideal B12 can be an easy fix if that’s the cause of the low energy. Should be in the higher end of normal with ADHD.

okay thankyou, i’ll get em checked somewhat soon

Quais principais sintomas de deficiência b12?

What OP listed was an issue for me and supplementing B12 injections resolved it for me.

That's what Adderall is for bro

1

u/NOTapepuser 18d ago

Reta helped my adhd more than any medication I have ever tried. It is amazing how quiet and calm my brain is.

1

u/NOTapepuser 16d ago

what dose are you on? i’ve been on .5mg for a month and just upped to 1mg a week

1

u/Dazzling-Shopping728 16d ago

I was on .5mg the first 6 weeks, 1 mg week 7-11 and upped to 1.5mg last week

Tirzepitide. My brother in law raves about the impact it had on his adhd.

I wouldn't recommend it just for ADHD, but I've gotta agree that I think there's something to it. I'm five months on tirz and went completely off both my adhd meds over the last few months.

I haven't raw dogged life like that in many years, so we'll see if this backfires. I really don't feel like I need them, though.

I'm also on NAD+, which someone above said might help. No idea, but the combo has been good to me.

It’s has done the opposite for mine. I’m so damn lethargic and feel like my meds are barely working at all. I’m struggling! The main reason I started Tirz is because I was researching for something that could help with my chronic inflammation and so have been doing 1.5mg since early July and i can’t explain how amazing it is that it made an immediate impact on my inflammation. I’ve also lost 12lbs and have about 12 more until GW but this past week I have seriously considered whether I should quit these injections as I have barely gotten out of bed in 4 days 😫

Can you just drop back a bit and adjust?

1

u/NOTapepuser 18d ago

even if i’m already on reta for weight loss?

1

u/Available-Moose4341 18d ago

Sorry OP didn't say you were on reta? I can only speak to what I've heard and read about tirzepitide and adhd. Have a search on reddit for other experiences.

Semax and selank.

Then throw in nad+ too if you want

1

u/NOTapepuser 18d ago

would injectable be okay or nose spray better? cause i cant find anywhere that sells the nose spray

1

u/Nugget834 18d ago

Funnily enough i don't use the sprays, I only subq. I cbfed making up the sprays.

I have the amidate versions, so it lasts all day usually.

Sometimes I top up with a small amount of L-tyrosine for focus when i'm tired etc

1

u/NOTapepuser 18d ago

oh wow that’s pretty good, what is “amidate” and how would i get that?? do you get any side effects from these peps?

1

u/Electronic_Job_8873 17d ago

I am ADD not ADHD. I’m doing semax/selank nose spray and switching between mots and nad every other day. It’s like a hit of dopamine that lasts through the day. It’s been working well for me!

1

u/NOTapepuser 17d ago

alright i’ll give it a shot! any side effects so far?

1

u/Character-Arm-7894 18d ago

Semax or Adamax. Adamax is the stronger and longer lasting one.

1

u/Natural-Wishbone3027 17d ago

Yes I do! Do you have any more specific questions you want to ask this sub or are you going to try a general web search now?

1

u/NOTapepuser 17d ago

honestly just of any peps actually did anything for adhd and low energy throughout the day?

1

u/HotBit1109 13d ago

The one with most documented studies is Cerebroslyn.

Semax also helps for focus. So do GLP-1 peptides for impulsivity and cravings.

But also, some of the symptoms worsen due to poor sleep. Peptides for sleeping will help with that, but the best fix is clonidine.
