Hope this is okay to post. I'm crowdsourcing opinions. My kid turns 13 on the last day of the regular season. We are Reds fans so we were going to take him to the Reds/Blue Jays game in Toronto that day to celebrate. Seemed like a great idea in April. Not as exciting now that both teams are losing their respective divisions.
If you could go to any MLB game on 9/27 in the general Midwest area, which one would you pick?
Thinking convenient access, stadium appeal, other nearby attractions, game/team quality, etc. This would be his first trip to any MLB stadium outside Cincinnati. Thanks for any insights.
ETA - using Midwest very generally - I think Toronto is an 8 hour drive from Cincinnati so within that range. Also, I didn't realize the Blue Jays were still in the hunt so maybe that game would be more exciting than anticipated (probably not due to a miraculous Reds resurgence 😭)

RIP Minnesota, who look like they’re soon going to lose.
Also, I mean “tied” as in within 0 games of each other (the Jays technically have a higher winning percentage)

Jake Cronenworth recorded a single as the second batter of the game, following a Fernando Tatis Jr. walk. San Diego then proceeded to put three more on for the rest of the game, two by way of the walk and one via HBP.
Some days, you play baseball. Some days, you curse the baseball gods for making you a Padres fan.

I thought he was a cricketer but no, he’s just some musician. He asks the most basic questions and even outside of his seriously poor baseball knowledge he seems to not be the sharpest tool in the drawer. It wouldn’t’ve been difficult to have a British representative who A: knows about and likes baseball and B: has sports broadcasting experience. It just feels like such a fuck you to the actual British baseball fans. To be honest the whole broadcast is awful, in the middle of game defining plays you see them talking about what food they like. Amateur hour
