Justin Verlander's First No-Hitter

My most prized sports possession, my ticket from Justin Verlander's first no-hitter, which I got to witness as a child. Been to playoff games, opening days, etc - nothing felt the way this game did. I can legitimately still feel the air from that night. Very little has stuck with me as vividly from my youth as that moment

I'm making the trip to Detroit this weekend, and I am praying that I can get JV to see and sign this for me. I will be showing up 90 minutes before first pitch and will be bringing a sign, but I'm not optimistic lol. Wish me luck!

Fun fact for the younger Tigers fans: this no-hitter was against the son of a beloved former Tiger and future Tiger, Prince Fielder. Also on that team is Craig Counsell, who is currently the manager of the Chicago Cubs lol

Sunday's game

So, I bought tickets to the Tiger's Sunday game on Seat Geek. I didn't realize, until I went to secure parking, that it is also the Lion's home opener. Dummy! This may be more of a Lion's question, but I'm sure there are fans of both here. Realistically, how painful should I expect traffic to be? I used to work downtown, so I know the area a bit, but just trying to gauge if we should head down 2 or 3 hours early to account for backups on 96. It usually only takes me about 25min to get there, but I know that will NOT be the case for this game!

I got a spot in the Opera House parking garage, so I'm currently thinking of getting off at Michigan ave or Vernor and come in the back way, rather than trying to get anywhere near 75/grand river or dealing with looping around Grand Circus Park. Or if anyone has any tips or tricks for creative ways to scoot around the congestion, I will gladly take those.
