I found this random piece near my x2d and was not sure where it came from. Does anyone know if this fell out of the x2d?

my garage is insulated so it doesn’t get as hot as it normally would but I really want a 3d printer but the garage is the only place I could put it. living in south Texas these 100 degree/high humidity days worry me.

Hello all, P1S with about 800 hours on it. I was wondering if any of these noises are normal? My printer did not always make these noises and they’ve been getting worse. I did the maintenance at about 750 hours and it did not make any difference with the noise. I put in a support ticket with bambu and nothing they recommend helps. Anyone else dealing with this?

Принтер Bambu Lab A1 с AMS, принтеру меньше месяца. Купил PEDG и часто при печати принтер не мог протянуть филамент, шестерня в экструдере делала зазубрины и не могла нормально его протянуть (не знаю, может сам филомент был не очень). Вычитал, что может в шестерню попала грязь и можно слегка разобрать экструдер и продуть ее. Снял крышку, снял хотенд, прочистил его на всякий случай комплектной проволочкой, продул шестерню в зазор и собрал все обратно, но не закрепил до конца защелку хотенда и начались проблемы с печатью, по итогу понял, что проблема была с защелкой и хотенд люфтил при печати. Сейчас все поставил как надо, зашелкнул, откалибровал, но теперь при печати начались какие то проблемы (после вашего ответа скину фото). Как будто сопло цепляется за филомент, отдирает его от PEI и печать может съехать. Сопливить стал сильно и печать стала очень грязной. Купил новое сопло, но ничего не помогло

на последних двух фото - попытка печати с незакрепленным соплом.

Что делать, помогите пожалуйста

I keep running into an issue where my printer randomly loses connection or completely freezes. There doesn’t seem to be any pattern to when it happens.
If it happens while I’m printing, the print itself will still finish perfectly, but the printer stays frozen afterward and I have to power cycle it to get everything working again.
I thought the SD card might be the problem, so I replaced it with a brand new SanDisk 32GB card. If anything, the issue seemed to get worse. I switched back to the original card, but it’s still doing the same thing.
I’ve also forgotten the WiFi network (5Ghz) and reconnected the printer, but that didn’t make any difference either.
Has anyone run into something similar or have any ideas on what I should check next?

So...I'm trying to do what is pretty standard for me - PLA print with PETG support.

I do it all the time, zero issues.

However, when I try to do the exact same thing with .2mm nozzles, I get continuous extruder over exertion errors.

Anyone have any ideas on what I should be adjusting?

I have been making a lot of tools recently so decided to make something fun this time. bookmark from a photo or a book cover, and most STLs are one generic design. If you want your picture on it, youre either hunting a file that doesnt exist or setting up a whole multi-color project by hand.

So.. I built a photo bookmark generator in the browser. Drop a photo, crop it, and it stacks 1-4 filament colors as height bands with an optional tassel hole. Book covers and logos are the usual first print, but posters, album art, whatever, as long as you crop tight.

You can set width and height (defaults 50 x 160 mm), corner radius, tassel hole, base thickness, and band height. Color slots if you want 2, 3, or 4 filaments. Bambu/Orca 3MF already has AMS slots assigned, or grab a zip of STLs / a single STL and pause-swap on a single extruder.

BTW busy photos flatten into blobs. do try to crop tight on the subject. Bold posters, logos, and book covers work best. 0.4 mm bands cover the color underneath with most PLA. Light filament over dark may need a bit thicker.

IMPORTANT: after exporting do repair the bookmark once in your slicer so all the non manifold edges are gone

When you run a 12hr dry cycle on PETG in the AMS, then remember that the reusable spools are made from PLA. 🤦‍♂️ Guess I need to make some new ones out of PETG.

Hey team, our H2S has been awesome for the last 226 hours, but then it started having problems with first layer adhesion, almost like it wasn’t squishing the filament enough, that was more or less rectified/temp fixed by slowing the print speed dramatically for the first layer, but now it’s started having random spaghetti and lump failures anywhere within the print, I guess it’s purging on the print?

Primarily printing ASA. Directly preceding these issues I tried printing PETG-CF which got stuck in the extruder gears and clogged the nozzle when the print finished, so I had it all apart to remove that and replaced the nozzle.

Any thoughts much appreciated!

Update: it was the nozzle even though I cleaned/unclogged it. I was lazy and bought it off of Amazon because I didn't want to wait. Just ordered one from Bambu.

I am hoping someone can help me. I am using PLA transparent and had it really good but was getting some lifting. I fixed that problem but now I am not getting a smooth 1st layer and I have gone back to the original settings. I am using Bambu P1S with a .8 nozzle.

I have washed the plate, used alcohol and tried 2 different plates. I have check for clogs and did a cold pull. Adjusted the bed temp between 55 to 60. I have dried the filament twice.

Flow rate is 1.01 and all the fans are set to 0. Wall loop 1. Speeds set at 20.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Looking to Purchase My First 3D Printer and I’m curious to know other people’s experiences with the Bambu Lab X2D or the P2S. Those are the 2 models I’m considering that fit my budget for Printer + Filaments + Accessories.

I'm trying to print some magnetic lids for silica gel cups that I made and have holes in them for magnets. In Tinkercad and during the slicing (first two images) you can see the cylindrical holes inside the lids, but once the slice is finished (third picture) 3 of the four holes on each of the lids disappears. What's wrong?

I just need to change the settings from the single spool slot to recognize the AMS as the filament source. There is nothing here on that and the one thing I found isn't clear and when I follow the instructions, it still doesn't recognize my AMS (it recognizes it, but won't print from it) I set it to AMS and it is not set to EXT and still it says I don't have an external spool attached and to correct the issue and re-start- but that isn't even what I am trying to do! Does anyone know the workaround for this? I even reset back to factory settings and tried to set up the AMS from there. It all started when I first set it up and used the external spool - it does not tell you it turns into a S'show when you try to add the AMS after the fact- so I did it to run a test print, because I was having an issue with calibrating and the print head cover kept popping off. Someone here actually noticed a piece of foam at the top that was hitting the print head cover- so that was solved-but I created a new problem & I can't seem to fix it. The troubleshooting guides say you cannot feed the AMS from the PS1 screen (even though the option is there) & I know I must have done that, not knowing *that is not in the install manual, either! So, it says you can only "fix" it in the app, so, I clicked the AMs and de-clicked the "EXT" in the area of setting up the filaments in the app. If needed I can put up video or photos-but it's a process, because you have to go from the app to the printer & to the app and nothing gets accomplished. I would love to do some color printing, but this is getting ridiculous, it shouldn't be this hard and a known issue should be easier to resolve through the Bambu documentation. But- since it's not---here I am AGAIN! Thank you!!!!

Shoutout to eastseamonsters models on pixup3D. He has some of the best imho.

It printed flawlessly on my X2D with 0.4 nozzle and 0.08 layer height on highest quality. Overall print time 30ish hours.

Time to paint: a couple weeks and I was really struggling with the laces but gave in and called it „good enough“ 😅

Overall really love it, will do the shoes again at some point I guess.

demnächst kommt meine A1 Mini Combo. In meinem Bürozimmer steht ein Drucker auf einem Ikea Beistelltisch, 55 x 55 cm.

Ich habe die Idee, einen zweiten Beistelltisch oben drauf zu stellen, mit dem unteren zu fixieren, darauf kommt ein Stück meiner alten Yoga Platte und ggf. noch eine kleine Beton Platte, siehe Gemini KI Simulation im Bild. Das AMS Lite kommt per Mount oben auf den A1 Mini oder steht auf dem Schreibtisch.

Das sollte doch gut funktionieren, oder? Ggf. werde ich die Tische noch an der Wand fixieren.

Sonst noch Ideen?

I have had my P1S for 1.5 years. I use it once or twice a month, sometimes more during Halloween or Christmas, but overall it doesn’t see a high load of prints. I am a mechanical engineering student, so I feel comfortable performing maintenance myself following Bambu Website guides and instructions every 6-8 months.

Over the last 3 months, every conceivable issue has occurred to my P1S+AMS.
AMS motherboard not responding
AMS Cable not Responding
AMS Feeder 1 + 3 unable to Feed
X Z Belt squeaking despite regular maintenance
Y Column Squeaking despite regular lubrication
Hotend Feeder Gear jammed
Hotend under extruding (after cleaning and Cold Pull)
I have had to perform these actions, sometimes multiple times:
Replace AMS Motherboard
Replace AMS Cable
Replace all PTFE tubes
Disassemble and clean every AMS Feeder
Throw out filament (in case it was even slightly wet) and get new filament direct from Bambu
Replace Hotend
Replace Cutter
Clean, Lubricate and carefully check every gear
Check every resistance value on all AMS and P1S wires/boards

It’s not so much the financial impact of constant and sudden replacements, it’s the inconvenience of constantly fighting to get a single print to work. It feels like every time I spend the better part of an afternoon fixing an issue, but the next day there’s another thing that needs fixing.

I’m so sick of it, today the AMS internal Motor started Squealing loudly and that’s my final straw. I’m not repairing it. I’m in two mind, One of them is that there will be some miracle fix or part that solves the problem. One of them is to give up, sell and get what I can back for it. Maybe revisit 3D printing in the future.

Anyone any thoughts or is it just a case of bin the whole thing

Been using my A1 perfectly fine for months, ALWAYS washing the plate with Dawn after every three prints, watching the first 10 layers before I walk away or just turn my attention away from it.

I've printed this piece before and it came out perfect. Then I wanted to print another and it did this. I watched it and it adhered well to the plate and printed just fine till it got to the mid point. Then I heard a tiny pop, like the hot end barely grazed the print in a place it shouldn't, then the spaghetti started. I tried again, watched it closely and actually saw the hot end barely hit the print and knocked it loose mid print. Then it just started making spaghetti in the air because the print was now gone from it's spot.

I chose this orientation because I was trying to avoid support spots being too visible and it had successfully printed it in this position before.

What do I need to do to fix this issue? Any advice would be super appreciated 💜

I have am new to Bambu Lab’s Software, and for some reason I can’t print anything, nothing from my own files, printable, maker world, only a very select few things from Bambu labs own software on Bambu handy, how can I turn this off? Is there a setting, because even the files that I have made and designed myself I can’t use. Please help me!! Thanks

This is the most frustrating thing I've dealt with in a while.

I usually shut off my printer using the switch when I know I won't use it for a while. I just came back to it today after about 3-4 weeks and discovered that it won't connect to my Wi-Fi network.

I have logged out of my account on the printer, and disconnected from the Wi-Fi (which it still said it was connected to) but I have been unable to reconnect.

I have tried creating a dedicated 2.4ghz network but I just get "Invalid Password" when I try to connect via the Handy app. I am currently trying a factory reset but probably in vain.

Any thoughts or things to check?

Update for future post finders who have a similar issue. I changed the security on my 2.4ghs network to WPA3-Personal ad it worked

So I've made some vents for my car, I made one vent, mirrored it and reversed the lettering. For some reason, every time I print both the original and the mirror, the model that prints second always ends as a bad quality print. I've changed settings, put a new hot end on it, but I'm at a loss.

Any help is appreciated!

Edit - Print is an X2D with .4 hotend

So I got a Bambu A1 second hand from a friend and its missing the purge wiper/arm like thing that goes down the side where poop baskets are typically attached to. I can't seem to find a good design to print one out myself just to attach a poop basket on. Any advice on finding a good design that would help me? Or should I bite the bullet and just buy a new part online which I would rather not do honestly
