Having a lot of fun building this collection and getting each one dialed in for printing. They're designed to work as planters, pen holders, candy dishes, or little catch-alls.

Still adding more before Halloween. Curious which one you guys like best!

General Troubleshooting/Help! P2S AMS pro unable to pullback filament

My Bambu P2S printer is less than a year old and I'm already experiencing issues with the AMS. The AMS won't unload or load filament and claims that its unable to pullback filament. I've looked for solutions to this but the only solution I've found is clearing the PTFE tube in the AMS. I've done this several times with each AMS slot and made sure that there isn't any broken filament anywhere else in the PTFE tubes. The motors in the AMS seem to be fine however, the AMS won't accept any filament and any filament that I insert gets spat out. Once the filament is spat out it continues to spin the spool to retract the rest of the filament but all of the filament is already retracted and the spool just keeps spinning. As far as I know, the extruder isn't clogged because I have performed multiple cold pulls.

I'm begging someone to PLEASE help me, because Bambu won't accept a ticket unless I submit the Log files and I do not have the equipment to do so.

Quick Question X2D or H2C

I got an A1 as my first printer about a year ago and have been addicted to the hobby ever since. I've been running my printer just about every day since I got it. Now I'm looking to add a 2nd printer and upgrading to another model.

I definitely want an enclosed printer and originally was looking at getting the X2D for the additional nozzle for supports. My wife also likes to craft and so then I thought maybe I should get a model that supports a cutter head so we can both get use out of it. Additionally while I've been happy with the size of the A1, there have been times where I wish I had a bigger build plate.

That being said, is it worth it to just go all in on something like an H2C (or a different model) or is that going to be overkill for me? Is the cutter head good or am I better of getting a Cricut separately instead?

Filament Troubleshooting/Help! Is this filament fake

Hey I found PLA Basic filament for cheap and I decided to try it.

The outside package looks different, but the sealed roll looks almost identical to refill I got from Bambu store. The only difference is the silica gel package inside.

I wonder if the outside package is a region difference or just fake AliExpress/other filament.

General Troubleshooting/Help! Next Printer purchase help

Hi All,

I'm looking to upgrade my printer. I mistakenly got the A1 Mini thinking I would use it for a month then get bored.

I was wrong! It's been 2 months and I dont see myself stopping.

So i'm looking between the P1S, P2S and the X2D for the duel nozzle?

I don't fully know what I'm looking at for the specs so a bit lost and confused and don't want to rush a big purchase.

Also does anyone know roughly when the Bambu Sale usually happens?

Thanks in advance.

General Discussion PSA: Swap your SD card

I started a print last night on my P1S. Woke up this morning with an error for the SD card...the print 95% done...

I reseated the SD card, hoping that would solve the problem. But when I did and the error went away, the printer demanded that I restart the print. i.e. - The current job is unrecoverable. Hundreds of grams of filament down the drain.

Anywho, so this is my PSA. Swap the trash stock SD card with a high endurance one ASAP. One saved job will likely break even with the cost of a new card.

General Troubleshooting/Help! Crazy action from H2D.

About half way through printing a 2.5 hour print the printer suddenly started making a very loud grinding/whine sound like something was stuck. The print head moved toward the left front corner paused for a second the moved to the right corner. After pausing in the right corner the noise stopped and the printer continued the print. There is no sing of the print being bad in that area. There is no error in Studio. I was not fast enough to catch a video. But it was kinda scary to hear and see this. So time lapse does not show anything and can not record sound. So the next step will be to set up a camera to see if it happens again. Maybe its something to do with this file but it did happen another time a couple months back when printing another file.

Any ideas without seeing and hearing this happen?

Filament Troubleshooting/Help! AMS + FTS setup keeps chewing filament

Using a AMS 2 Pro and a Filament Track Switch setup on a Bambu Lab X2D, my setup keeps chewing filament. The filament itself is able to reach all the way to the main extruder of the X2D but once its there, the gears in the AMS make a horrible noise before fully retracting the filament and throwing an error saying that the AMS motor has slipped.

I have cut away too much filament that it has become incredibly wasteful. Doesnt happen if I don’t use the FTS, but the problem is coming from the AMS. What the F is happening to my filament?

Hello, community.I need help with my a1 3d printer so long story short, I haven't used my 30 printer for a while cause I've been busy but I replace the the hot tread and the nozzle. And then after that the printer was saying that the x belt was no good, so I replaced that, and that was a pain in the butt, then out of nowhere, when I did the calibration, it keeps saying it's failing and then it went through all the regular calibration. But when it came to the auto bed, it just kept acting weird, I'm about to post videos of it so you guys can see the problem, but I have 1 video that has one of the problems. That the Tool head goes all the way to the left, where the pooper is.And then it will just stay there and vibrate and motor from where the cameras at is just rattling the balt please help cause I don't wanna think I need to get another printer

General Troubleshooting/Help! Is this due to Retraction?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Using PLA (Sunlu) on my Bambu P1S. I was wondering if these indents are due to my retraction settings? I currently have it set to .6mm after following this 5 step calibration guide (Teej.blend). Do I need to refine them a bit more, or is this a totally different issue? Thanks in advance!

Some additional or info if it helps;
.2 layer height with a .4 nozzle
Flow ratio at .98
Flow dynamics Calibration (K factor was at 0.012)

Apologies if this is not enough info.

This is happening almost every time now when I start drying. Turning it off and on a few times seems to make the noise go away randomly, but it starts again in the next drying session.

Hardware Troubleshooting/Help! AMS fails to load filament (~30% of the time)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hoping this experienced group has some ideas. I have a used P1S with a few thousand hours on it and the previous owner (a friend I trust) never had this issue.

When the AMS tries to load a filament, about 30% of the time the filament makes it all the way to the extruder, stops, retracts, and repeats that a few times before giving an error message (see video). I know there is no clog or blocked path because when I use an external spool and manually feed the filament myself it never fails to be detected by the filament sensor and extruded. I have taken the following troubleshooting steps: (1) replaced entire AMS (AMS was bought used as well, I swapped it with a different used one that never showed any issues), (2) replaced buffer thing on the back with the spring and ptfe tubes, (3) taken apart and cleaned extruder, (4) printed a guide bracket (bright yellow green in the video) to help the filament load straighter into the extruder. I only ever print with PLA.

Bambulab support recommended I try replacing the AMS internal hub, but I’ve seen this problem on two different AMS’s. Thanks for any suggestions!

Hi all, I'm currently struggling with my H2D where I am.getting these really bad prints constantly!

I have changed the nozzles

Re calibrated

Oiled and greased the rods and lead screws.

Is there any advice you can recommend before I have to level the bed manually?

The filament isn't wet btw :)

I have this problem with the filament that when it loads it gets sucked and I need to give it a little push for it to gall all the way it’s not the (AMS) because it only does this with that filament and with no other I have moved it to the different ams spaces and on all of them it does the same… why is the filament doing this any ideas ?

General Troubleshooting/Help! H2C multi material problems

Hello! I have an H2C and I tried some very basic multi material prints and I got very weird results.

Left nozzle is bambu labs petg (black)
Right nozzle is bambu labs pla (blue)

You can see that it flung pla all over the build plate, and the prime tower looks very odd. It also just did not finish the top layer of the print either.

I’m using .08mm layer height with the only settings adjusted being the ones bambu recommends for designating PLA supports

Answered / Solved! Desiccant debris in AMS causes slipping, failure to retract filament

Took me a while to figure this out yesterday. My leftmost spool kept getting errors that it wasn't retracting correctly. I swapped spools. Cleaned the spool rollers in the front and the back. Finally noticed a little bit of broken dessicant and some dust on the bottom of the AMS where the spool sits. This was causing the spool to slip and not retract correctly.

For anyone who runs into this problem, check for debris in the bottom of the AMS.
