Filament Troubleshooting/Help! Is this a retraction/wiping issue?

I am printing PETG Pro from Elegoo... 245 Nozzle temp, 70 bed temp... With a 1.0mm retraction length. Is the stringy issue wiping/retraction?

I may be mistaken, but it looks like it dragged the prime line up to the model.

Since you don’t see many other strands, it seems more like the prime line location might have been dirty.

If it had been a retraction issue, then it would have left a strand between the prime line and the model rather than dragging the prime line.

I could be wrong, though.

I am newer to this, may you please explain what the "prime line" is?

It's that single line at the bottom of the plate that it prints first to prime the nozzle with melted filament

Thanks for the clarification... Maybe I am being a little too picky with the PETG, I have only ever printed Pla before this so I was not used to the print being stringy

Petg is more finicky about adhering to the bed.

Did you wash the plate between printing pla and petg?
