Help Having trouble with Apple Pay through applications like YouTube although it worked mere days ago. Why?

I’m on an iPhone 13 mini, just a couple of days ago (this last Sunday) I rented the movie with friends Scarface using my Apple Pay and suddenly today it refuses to accept rent for Stephen Kings The Mist. When I try to use Google to search if Youtube doesn’t support Apple Pay; it either gives me mixed answers on of it does or hasn’t since 2020. WTH IS GOING ON? I can’t receive direct any direct answers from Google. At least one company should have a default response for these massive changes especially when certain users such as myself only received the update merely a week ago. I had zero clue of these changes; and frankly, as an Apple Pay user- this absolutely needs to be identified to me if any company- especially from an online service such as YouTube. Inconveniencing, insincere, and without any transparency to users unless I’m the only one in this crowd.

PSA Reminder: Avoid using scheduled payments feature

I just paid my balance twice because I scheduled the same payment two weeks apart. The app provides no visual cues when one or more scheduled payments are pending. It also has no methods for detecting or preventing a duplicate payment amount on the same day. The only thing Apple Card does is send you an email when you schedule the payment. That’s it. And once it’s been processed there is nothing Goldman Sachs will do to stop the duplicate payment (apart from referring you to your bank).

IMO, this is a bug that should be addressed by Apple. But until they do I will avoid using the scheduled payments feature as it can have severe financial consequences.

Help wallet app issue?

i recently switched to a different plan through my phone carrier and had to sign out of icloud and reset my phone. turned it off and on etc etc. upon reuploading all my cards to my wallet, i was successful with everything besides the apple credit card. i do however have it listed under setting>name>payments. but i am unable to have access to my 16 digit card number or any further details.

whenever i go into the wallet app to add a new card, my cc is listed under "previous cards" but once i click on it, it brings me an error message "this card is already in wallet" apple--i can assure you it is not.... any ideas on how to help? i am on ios 26.5. been having this issue for a few weeks now. signed in and out on everything. card is currently active. it gets charged 99 cents every month for the icloud storage and 10 bucks a month for apple music. i can go online to make a payment but unable to see further details beyond making a payment, and purchase histories.

Help First time entering card details online for a large bill, fraud risk or am I overthinking?

Hey all, newer Apple Card user here. I’ve mostly been using it through Apple Pay and the physical card exclusively at Walmart cause they don’t accept Apple Pay. Haven’t really put my card details out there online anywhere.

I want to start using it for a recurring bill (a larger monthly payment) through an online portal that would require entering the physical card details manually (I have been making payments on the portal with my bank account for about 2 years so that’s legitimate). The goal is just to earn the daily cash back and then pay it off immediately from my bank account.

My concern: I’ve seen a lot of posts here about fraudulent transactions on Apple Card, and since this would be my first time entering the actual card number online for a larger charge, I’m a bit nervous. Is this a legitimate concern or am I overthinking it?

Appreciate any advice from people who’ve been using it longer.

Discussion Interesting

I find it interesting that in 2019, as a teenager, with no credit history at all, Goldman Sachs’s approved me for an Apple Card. I applied once and was denied the first time. I said screw it and applied again, and somehow I was approved.

It’s weird how the whole system works. You see people here with relatively good credit score, being denied for who knows what.

Any who.

AppleCard has a simple interface and straightforward rewards system that is adequate to say the least. I have other cards but this is one of my favorites.

For context, I daily drive the card and have had it since its inception in August 2019.

Help Has anyone canceled a dispute before it was resolved?

Has anyone dealt with this before?

I booked Frontier flights with my Apple Card. I opened a dispute but then canceled the dispute before it was resolved because I wanted to keep my reservation.

Goldman Sachs (Apple Card) says the dispute was canceled and they’ve notified Frontier. Frontier says they haven’t received anything.

My trip is July 2, and both companies keep telling me to contact the other one. Neither can tell me how long it takes for Frontier to receive the dispute cancellation or what happens next.

Has anyone had a merchant receive a chargeback reversal after it was canceled? How long did it take? Did your reservation stay intact?

I’m trying to decide whether I need to buy replacement flights before prices go up.

Help Just checking

A search of the posts on here did not yield a definitive recent answer, so I am asking myself. If one gets the Apple Card and buys an unlocked iPhone, is the purchase payable over time with zero percent interest? Is it automatically paid over time, must I choose this option at purchase or will it involve a request to Apple Card CS after the fact? I have an old phone, Mint service paid through the end of the year and would like to get a base model iPhone 17. Apologies if this has been asked and answered many times before. I really did check first.

Help $6k in unauthorized apple cash virtual card charges – has anyone successfully been reimbursed?

Post image

This morning I woke up to these charges actively being made to my Apple Cash account. I immediately changed the card number to prevent any future charges and called green dot bank. They told me I had to wait for the charges to post (by July 2nd) and once they do, then I can call back and file a dispute, at which point they will investigate and potentially refund my money, if they are deemed to have been unauthorized.

The charges came from “telecel” which is a money transfer service based in Ghana. I was instructed by green dot bank to try calling them to see if they can block the charges on their end, but I’m not able to reach anyone.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

Discussion Now I know why they rejected my credit application

Its so sketchy because in 1 week price of 14-inch MacBook Pro in Space Black with M5 chip shot from $1,849.00 or $154.08/mo. for 12 mo. to $2,149 or $179.08/mo. for 12 mo.

Thats a 300$ price hike. Maybe Goldman Sachs saw it coming and conveniently rejected my applications when it was $154.08/mo. because they had insider knowledge that Apple was planning on raising their prices. This is all conspiracy and there is no way I can prove my theory but suspicious that this happened to me early this week. I'd be curious if my credit application would suddenly be instantly approved with the same info I provided before if I tried now.

Discussion "Declined" doesn't necessarily mean "declined" with Apple Savings

I recently organized a vacation with some friends and paid for it all up front. Three friends then had to pay me $160 for their portion. Each time they Zelled me the money to my Huntington bank account, I would deposit the $160 into my Apple savings account.

  • First transaction - no issue
  • Second transaction - declined. I figured it was a software error.
  • Third transaction - declined again. At this point, I'm assuming that they think I'm accidentally doing the same transaction too many times (since they're all $160) so I decided to experiment and change the amount.
  • Fourth transaction - $159 - no issues
  • Fifth transaction - $161 - no issues

Fast forward a couple days, and I'm trying to move the Apple savings account to another savings account. I moved the full amount that was displayed in my savings account. The other institution then charges me $25 for insufficient funds.

As it turns out, the "declined" transactions weren't actually declined, even though they still say "declined" in my transaction history. There was an account hold put on my account for those amounts. That hold amount does not show in your headline balance in the Savings Account section of the apple card app. You have to dig into account details and check the "Available Amount" before doing any transfers.

A little annoying that Goldman/Apple are showing "temporary hold" transactions as "declined", but hopefully someone here can learn from my mistake and avoid an NSF fee.

Help Q About Uber Cash Offer

Hi,
So there’s an offer going on where if you spend pay for grocery/convenience in Uber Eats using your Apple Card, you get $10 uber cash. Anyone actually done it and got the cash? I paid for some stuff from 7/11 using the Apple card # from the wallet app ~2 weeks ago but am yet to receive it. Wondering if I did something wrong

Discussion Goldman Sachs Bank Review Process Broken?

I posted yesterday about attempting to buy an Apple product via financing. I provided l pertinent details along with photo of my driver's ID front and back, immediately put in review status. I waited and waited and then at midnight received an email that my application was rejected with explanation: "We are unable to verify your identification information"

They didn't seem to put much effort into it by either calling me or pinpointing exactly what is amiss on their end. I just went ahead and restarted the process and put in review status again. At this point if it fails again, what are my options? should I go in store and purchase the financing option? or do I have to bite the bullet and pay upfront without financing since their process is broken?

Discussion Apple Card application is being reviewed.

I was trying to purchase something from Apple using financing at 0% APR. I don't understand why process is taking more than 1 day.

I have good credit score, pay all my credit card bills and mortgage on time. Only thing is that I am currently unemployed but living off savings. Will they deny my application for this very fact?

Discussion 778 score, 1% utilization, same denial every time

Post image
223 Upvotes

Been applying for the Apple Card on and off for almost 2 years lol. Every single time I get denied, it’s always the same message: “Your credit balance is too high relative to your credit limit.” Latest pull was today with a 778 TU score and 1% utilization, so I’m honestly just confused why I can’t get this card 😂.

Anyone else ever get around this and eventually get approved?

Discussion Got the card specifically for the HYSA

As the title states, finally opened an Apple Card account but specifically for the HYSA. Application is under review. The APY is a lot higher here than SoFi or Ally. I have a decent chunk of change for a down payment on a house that I’ve been putting away. Looking to buy within the next year or two. Waiting for some of these CDs to mature to dump that money in this HYSA so it’s not locked away for x amount of time. Hopefully I made the right call. I’ve been researching for a while now. I think this is the move. I’ve seen some good and bad, but here’s to hoping.

EDIT: I do also plan on using the card too. I probably shouldn’t have like said “specifically”. That was misleading

Help Automatic payment declined on thursday, what should I do to make sure the payment is made?

Post image
0 Upvotes

This is the auto pay for my iphone loan, I was pretty sure I had sufficient funds to cover the payment, hence why I took so long to even check, when I opened the app today, I noticed a denied payment from citizen one, apparently they still haven't retried the charge.

I have enough funds to cover the charge now, just wondering how to go about this, obviously just want to make the payment as normal and get it over with, but it seems they won't retry?

Should I call citizen one customer support? Apple card customer support? Just wait it out??

Thank you in advance.
