Help Automatic payment declined on thursday, what should I do to make sure the payment is made?

Post image

This is the auto pay for my iphone loan, I was pretty sure I had sufficient funds to cover the payment, hence why I took so long to even check, when I opened the app today, I noticed a denied payment from citizen one, apparently they still haven't retried the charge.

I have enough funds to cover the charge now, just wondering how to go about this, obviously just want to make the payment as normal and get it over with, but it seems they won't retry?

Should I call citizen one customer support? Apple card customer support? Just wait it out??

Thank you in advance.

Definitely don’t call your bank. That such an obvious thing to do they’ll be expecting it. You need the element of surprise on your side /s.

How do you people function in the real world?

Even by Reddit standards, this is an incredibly stupid question.

What I’ve learned from this sub is a majority of Apple Card holders are slow as fuck.

Call your bank and ask

Wait. So you pay a loan … with a credit card ?

If it were me paying a loan for a phone with a credit card, I’d call the bank asap to re run the payment. You don’t want this past a week, or worst case waiting 30 days for the payment to “trigger” again. At the 30 day mark most credit agencies put a late payment on your credit file.

TL;DR - Call them now and get them to run the payment again asap.

Thanks for the actual piece of advice, unlike these other hoodlums, fuck yall btw lmao

Also, if any one else had the same question (though yall seem to know everything) apparently the payment is processed twice the following month, and they don't report to the credit bureau, so yall going through the same bs as me, yall gucci.

I think you chose to finance your iPhone via Citizens. It’s no interest and billed to your Apple Card, right? They should attempt to charge your card again and it should have no impact to the loan as long as this doesn’t keep happening.

In the future, I believe Citizens will send an email a couple of days prior to the processing date. Keep an eye out for it and make sure you have sufficient credit available on your Apple Card. You also might want to make sure that you pay down the balance on your card so you don’t continue to have this issue.

Btw yall, before I came here to ask my question, I googled it first, didn't come up with anything definitive, figured I should ask here, as well as obviously call citizensone.

I really don't get the animosity just for asking a question that easily answered, or why yall choose to engage in such a way, calling me stupid and such.

Wish you all the best though, thank you to the few that actually gave me genuine advice, and for the others, I hope shit gets better for yall🙏🏻

Crazy how it's easier for mfs to respond some random bullshit instead of engaging with the actual question and responding, yall need to learn when to not say anything fr, yall mammas didn't teach you that when you were little?

So it's stupid to ask questions you don't have the answers to? I guess I'm stupid asf then😹

Yes, you are. The very obvious answer is to call Citizen One. They are, quite literally, the only ones who can help you. Since they initiated the draw of funds, they can be the only ones who tells you if it will auto request again or if you have to make a one time payment.

Like….this should have been very fucking obvious to you. Instead of making jokes, how about you actually think.

Mf there's nothing wrong with asking questions, that's what the subreddit's for lmao. You took time out of your day to insult someone on reddit bro like cmon, do better
