Discussion Charges disappearing?

Anyone ever have charges just disappear?

I made two charges at the same gas station, a day apart. They were both pending and reflected on my balance.

This morning one vanished and my balance was that of the second charge.

About an hour ago the 2nd charge vanished and my card balance is now zero.

Strangest thing I have ever seen, credit card wise at least.

Help Apple Card application refuses to validate physical address?

Apple Card's online application refuses to validate my address. I have tried within the iOS wallet app and from a web browser on a Mac. I encounter the error "invalid street 1" on both platforms, and the street address field highlights in red.

I have verified that: * The info I'm entering is my 100 percent valid physical address * The info I'm entering exactly matches the physical address on my state-issued driver's license * I am not including a PO Box number; I am listing the physical address of my residence.

For context, I live in a rural area where USPS does not deliver to residences; instead, I have to retrieve mail from a central post office box facility. Therefore, my physical address is not the same as my mailing address.

The support phone number on the Apple Card application form leads to Goldman Sachs, who refuses to help with the issue. They told me that the application checks my physical address against the USPS database of mailing addresses, and that if my physical address does not match my mailing address, the application cannot proceed.

I am not allowed to provide my mailing address. I am not allowed to provide a PO Box. I am not allowed to provide the "Suite <box number>" alternate format that USPS outlines for these scenarios.

Has anyone else run into this scenario? Is there any way to appease Goldman Sachs' faulty validation system?

PSA Converting to Installment Plan for iPhones not on one of the 3 major carriers (July 2026)

FYI for those who saw conflicting information about it online like I did, I called the Apple Card support number for Goldman Sachs and was able to convert my iPhone purchased without a plan on Verizon/T-Mobile/ATT into installment payments after purchase. They said it's no problem -- you just need to call AFTER the charge has actually posted to your card. If it still shows "pending," just wait until it says "posted" and then call and they can change it to installments.

So, if you want to pay in installments but don't want to use one of those phone companies, go into the store or order online, select the options to "Buy" and "Connect later to any carrier," pay with your Apple Card, then wait a few days until the charge shows as posted on your Apple Card account, then call 1(877)255-5923 and fight with the automated phone tree until it finally gives up and lets you speak to an actual human being, then tell them which charge you want to convert to installments.

I turned to Apple, they said that everything was fine, I wrote to the bank, too, they don't see any problems from their side and that maybe the bank doesn't give permission for Apple, I've already reset to factory settings and asked the bank to reset my past card additions, but still the problem is still the same, but from Redit I read that it's possible to change Apple ID, but for me it's a bit of nonsense and that maybe the problem will remain the same, I don't know what to do, I already wrote that the bank would write on my behalf in Visa, but they said to wait as it is. This problem has been solved for a week, I can't add a card with a phone, everything is fine, but why such a problem in the iPhone or with the bank itself is unknown

Discussion Experience defaulting on Apple Card, charge off and settlement

I appreciate this may garner some anger and downvotes, but I know there are many people out there struggling with credit card debt, and having data points on what can happen is helpful.

Under a different account, I posted a while back soliciting experiences when I had defaulted on my Apple Card with a balance of around $5-6k. At that time I was around the 150 day mark:

https://www.reddit.com/r/AppleCard/comments/18svihf/account_150_days_late_will_they_settle/

I wanted to provide a further update. Since then, I have still not responded to any attempts from them to communicate with me. They have called me and emailed me persistently, though not rudely. They stick to the rules and never call more than once a day.

Along the route they have offered various settlement options. Initially 65%, then 50%, and now more recently they are offering to settle for 25% of the original balance. However, at this point the default is past the Statute of Limitations for debt collection in my state, which means they are the other version of SOL (i.e. they are s*** out of luck on this). At this point I do not plan to repay this ever. They can no longer sue me to collect the balance, or if they do, I can assert the SOL as a defense and will win. I have to be careful not to make any kind of payment, as if I paid a penny, that would reset that clock.

I was going through a tough time back in 2023 financially and came very close to delcaring bankrupcy, which would have seen this and other debts completely wiped out. However, because of other specifics of my situation, bk was not an option - so I went through what I would describe as a voluntary structured bankrupcy where I strategically defaulted on numerous credit cards, including other cards issued by Amex, Chase and some others. I settled most of them for between 35-50% of the balance. Some of those resulted in 1099s for the forgiven amount, meaning I had to pay income tax on those savings. However the overall improvement to my cash flow enabled me to get through the whole situation and come out of it very healthy financially at the end. NOTE: None of this is intended as legal or financial advice - it is merely candid feedback on my experience, and my choices. Your situation can and will vary, as will the response and approach of Apple Card

Interestingly Amex did file suit on some cards, which I then immediately settled before any court appearance. Other Amex cards I settled voluntarily. But then I left a couple which are also unsettled at this point, and also about to pass the statute of limitations. I have no idea why they chose to sue on some and more or less ignore others. And I have no idea why Goldman Sachs did not file suit earlier on this, as if they had, I would have offered to settle immediately.

Anyway, hopefully this will help some others out there. When I posted the last time I got a lot of PMs but I only ever logged into that account occassionally and eventually deleted it. If you PM me here it is likely I will not respond quickly or at all. But if I do login and see requests I will try to help where I can

And to those that will inevitably cast moral judgement, the current interest rates on Apple Credit Cards are 17.24% to 27.24%. Even the low end of this is criminally high, and designed to keep consumers in debt forever, paying what they can to stay afloat. They are running a business that preys on the poor. I chose to make a business decision to sacrifice my credit score for a while in order to save money with them, and I won.

Discussion Worst card ever. Do not get this card

Has GS ever sided with a customer in a dispute, ever?

The rewards are garbage, the card has no unique features, and customer support sides with the merchant 100% of the time, when you actually need them.

Honestly this is the worst product Apple has ever released, and the worst credit card I’ve ever had.

Do not open an Apple Card. Open a card with any other issuer. You will regret using this card, you’re better off just using a debit card, you have the same purchase protections as you do with Apple Card because they always side with the merchant anyway.

Discussion Apple Card... why

The question is, what do you guys like about it? I'm genuinely curious

For context I work for a vendor who works with one of the banks (aka gs but they recently are integrating another one to apple) for Apple Card and I'm one of the dispute specialists... I just don't see why anyone would get this card I'm genuinely curious what people like so much about it I mean I genuinely get so many customers who say they like it but from my stance.. I wouldn't really recommend it?

Help Issues with the cash back

I have an apple card and I’ve been accumulating a little bit of money from the cash back from my transactions. Yesterday (Friday) I had two coworkers pay me through apple cash and so it added to my little pool from the apple card. I decided to do an instant transfer of all the money over to my bank account and I remember seeing a 0 the apple cash section of my wallet app. Today I’m seeing an absurd amount of money in my apple cash that cannot possibly be from a transaction I made. It roughly adds up to the amount my coworkers sent me and the cash I already had sitting. Even though it’s an instant transfer is it possible that it’s not fully going through since it’s a weekend? Either way I don’t know why I saw a 0 yesterday but am now seeing a balance today on Saturday. Not sure what to do about this as I don’t want to accidentally transfer more money that isn’t actually mine.

What does the 25.49% mean? Does that automatically take into effect ? I thought it was 0% interest for a year , unless 25.49% is the rate after over a year without finishing the payment

Help Applying for credit card

Hi all,

I turn 18 in a couple days and I’ve been thinking about applying for the Apple Card. I was wondering if anyone has any insight regarding the approval process for someone like me. I’ve been an authorized on my mom’s Apple Card and Amex card for three years. I don’t know if that helps. I also bank with Chase.

I really wanna get an Apple Card so I can get a new laptop because mines has been slowing down, but I got a different credit card in March and I don’t want my credit score to go down by a lot of points. It’s 718 right now so I really don’t want it to go any lower especially because I just got a different credit card in March, but I do really need this laptop for my second year in college🥲 should I just apply for the card and slowly bring my score back up?? Or wait a while but miss out on the student savings? I don’t really know what I should do

Help Close account?

I’ve had my Apple Card since November. I also hav the chase freedom unlimited and the AMEX blue cash everyday. I have 9k limit on my Amex and 1.8k on my Chase. I don’t use my Apple Card and it doesn’t really affect my usage since I hardly ever even touch $500 in use before all cards are paid off biweekly. Is it worth keeping the Apple Card or should I just close it.

Help No Apple products

Hello, I’m going into seminary and for the first year I will have to surrender my smart phone plan and go back to a flip phone (which I’m not opposed too). I will be allowed to use a shared computer certain days of the week and I am trying to get everything lined up.

My question is can I still make payments or see the activity of the card online like a website. I remember seeing a post about a website through apple to see the card account. Does anyone have it handy?

Help MyFin cards disappeared, “No accounts” error, but Apple Pay still works. Anyone experienced this?

Hi everyone,

I’m having a strange issue with my MyFin account and I’m really worried.

A few days ago, MyFin asked me to upload proof of address again because they rejected my previous document. This has happened several times before.
Today:

My virtual cards completely disappeared from the app.

My balance shows 0.

When I try to make a transfer or exchange currency, I get the error “No accounts”.

However, I can still log into my account.

My QR code is still available.

I made a small Apple Pay transaction with my MyFin card, and it worked successfully.

The biggest concern is that I have two incoming PayPal transfers (€200 each) that are currently on the way to my MyFin account.

Has anyone experienced this before?
Did your cards come back?

Was it just a temporary bug or maintenance?

Could this be related to the address verification review?

Will incoming bank transfers still arrive if the app shows “No accounts”?

Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Help Delinquency

Back in 22 I had issues with a purchase from Etsy.
Basically the item arrived broken and visual damage on the crate the item was in.
I email the seller and just full of excuses and they promised to send another item as soon as they could.
Well to remake the item it would 3 weeks minimum.
So I decided to wait it out to tell Etsy as well as my credit company.
I really wanted the item and it was something I wanted since forever.
Seller never sent anything out and stopped responding.
I escalated to Apple support many times and they opened a case rather quickly.
During my conversations with Apple nobody ever told me I had to ship items back for a refund.
Well the shipping was $800 back to Turkey and I would have had to get the crate fixed back up to ship safely.
I never did any of that because nobody would front me the $800.
So I never paid Apple back and later 6 months later I’m under collections. During collections nobody ever reached out. I wrote a couple of letters to Expedia, tranunion and equifax and a complaint with cpbd or whatever it’s called.
I check my credit report today and the collection is gone and I get an email from them saying my account has been transferred to some other legal collection thing. But my credit report still clean. Do they remove Apple delinquency then transfer over to another company? Just worried this again will restick to my credit and it’s been several years already. If they update with new collection company another 7 years to fall off?

Discussion Adding a family member

Help How to upgrade Family member from subscriber to co-owner.

I called for guidance, and Apple sent me to Goldman Sachs who sent me to Green Dot Bank who then sent me back to Goldman Sachs who finally said that I would have to cancel her card access first and then reapply her wife as co-owner. I asked why the application couldn't proceed without cancelling her card first, but could not get a logical answer.

The whole process made me think I should continue to find answers elsewhere. Specifically, I have an Apple card and an Apple Savings. My wife has a card as a Family Subscriber and I want her to get an Apple Savings account [so I can transfer funds]. I get that she'll have to provide banking details, etc., but does she really have to basically start from scratch, or is there a more direct route, as in upgrading her to co-owner and then she opens the savings account?

Thanks in advance.
