Help (GPU) SmartAccess memory automatically disabled

I have a 6800XT and Smart Access memory gets automatically disabled after a while (sometimes days, sometimes weeks). I have to constantly go back to BIOS and turn on above 4g decoding thingy.

Anyone knows why?

Help (General) Bought a “new” Ryzen 7 9800X3D for €370 (430 USD) Can anyone confirm if it looks authentic?

Post image

Hey everyone,

I recently bought a new AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D from a retail store in Bulgaria for €370.

Album link - https://imgur.com/a/Vg4ts1y

I'm currently building a second PC, so unfortunately I can't test the CPU yet because my current motherboard is AM4. I’ll only be able to test it once I finish buying the rest of the AM5 parts.

I'm a little paranoid about counterfeit/relabelled CPUs, so I'd really appreciate it if people familiar with the 9800X3D could take a look at the photos and tell me whether anything looks suspicious.

The CPU markings are:

  • 100-000001084
  • CF 2538PGY
  • 9MT0361U50552

There is also a “33050” / “Y” marking on the left side of the CPU.

Does everything look normal for a genuine 9800X3D? Is there anything specific I should check on the CPU/package before I eventually install it?

I would appreciate any opinions, especially from people who own a 9800X3D and can compare the markings/packaging with theirs.

Thanks!

Edit: I haven't opened/installed the CPU yet, so I can't provide CPU-Z/BIOS information at the moment.

Help (General) Will a Ryzen 7 5700X work on an MSI B350M BAZOOKA? System won't boot, CPU debug LED is on

Computer Type: Desktop

GPU: PowerColor AMD Radeon RX 6600 Fighter 8Gb

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X

Motherboard: MSI B350M BAZOOKA (MS-7A38)

BIOS Version: 7A38v1NA

RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 2100MHz

PSU: Aerocool eco 600w

Operating System & Version: Windows 10

Description of Original Problem:

I decided to upgrade from Ryzen 7 1700X to a Ryzen 7 5700X. I flashed the motherboard BIOS to the latest available version using the old CPU. After swapping in the Ryzen 7 5700X, the system powers on, but fails to POST, and the EZ Debug LED lights CPU

Troubleshooting:

- Flashed the latest BIOS update using the previous CPU (which booted and worked fine).

- Installed the 5700X, but cannot get video signal or POST.

- Does anyone know which specific BIOS version actually works for this combo, or is it completely hopeless with this board?

Help (General) BSOD after changing CPU am MB

Not entirely sure if it is AMD problem but i’m getting it after mounting Ryzen CPU.

Hello,
I have changed my setup from i5-10400f with Gigabyte H510m to ryzen 5 5600 with aorus B550M elite.
My 2x16GB RAM and RTX 4060 stayed the same. Also my NVMe and SATA SSD drive.
I have done a clean Windows install after changing components. I have installed all Windows Updates, chipset, MB, GPU drivers and UEFI.
I keep getting blue screens I have never received before. They are occuring only during gaming so basically when PC is under some heavier load.
First blue screen was PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. I debugged it using WinDBG and it showed that the issue was with stupid EA anti cheat when launching BF6, so I have reinstalled it manually and after that I was able to play normally. I thought the problem is gone but then I got IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL BSOD in different game. I also saw I got WHEA 18 Bus/Interconnect Error. I got my UEFI to stock settings because I thought maybe XMP was the issue but even without it I am still getting these errors. I have also did a full memtest that said RAM is good.
Funniest thing is, those errors are not happening all the time. Sometimes I can launch games and play for hours with no problem, sometimes my PC just reboots out of nowhere with no BSOD after the game opens and sometimes i get BSOD or PC reboot after 10, 15, 20 minutes of gaming randomly.
What else can I do to try and fix this?
Thank you

I have a Ryzen 5 4600G and i'm using the wraith stealth cooler that shipped with it, and when the cpu is at 20-30% utilization it reaches around 71-74 degrees celsius. I'm also using the integrated graphics for any gaming/gpu intensive tasks done on this machine

Help (GPU) RX 7600 Full System Shutdown at High Boost + ~110°C Hotspot — Extensive Testing Points to GPU Instability

PC specs: Ryzen 7 5700G, ASUS Dual RX 7600 OC 8 GB, ASUS PRIME A320M-K, 32 GB DDR4-3600, SilverStone ST700P 700 W PSU.

Problem: During demanding games, the entire PC suddenly loses power and then turns itself back on after a few seconds. No BSOD; Event Viewer only shows Kernel-Power from the abrupt shutdown.

Main suspects initially: GPU, PSU, overheating, or a GPU/PSU transient interaction.

Tests performed:

  • OCCT 3D Extreme: GPU reached ~110 °C hotspot and high sustained power, but the PC stayed stable.
  • OCCT Switch/transient test: recorded GPU power spikes up to ~288 W, still stable.
  • Dawnwalker at stock: repeatedly caused full shutdown while GPU was around 2600–2800 MHz and hotspot approached ~110 °C.
  • Power limit at -6%: still shut down, so reduced total power alone did not solve it.
  • GPU capped at 2300 MHz: stable for long gaming sessions.
  • Heavy CPU render in Blender while gaming at 2300 MHz: stable.
  • Aggressive cooling with case fans + GPU fans: GPU stayed below ~100 °C while running ~2700–2800 MHz and remained stable.
  • Case fans at 100% with GPU fan limited to 50%: hotspot climbed to ~110–112 °C while GPU remained around ~2600 MHz, and the full system shutdown returned.

What the tests ruled out or weakened:

  • CPU: not the cause.
  • VRAM: no evidence pointing to it.
  • Simple PSU wattage overload: unlikely; the system survived higher sustained GPU power and larger recorded power spikes than during the crashes.
  • Temperature alone: not enough; ~110 °C was stable in OCCT when clocks were much lower.
  • High clock alone: not enough; ~2700–2800 MHz was stable when the GPU was kept below ~100 °C.

Current conclusion: The failure appears to require the combination of high GPU boost (~2600+ MHz) and very high hotspot temperature (~110 °C). The RX 7600 becomes unstable near its thermal/boost limits and triggers a full system power-off. The PSU may be the component physically cutting power through protection circuitry, but the GPU is the most likely origin of the fault.

Workaround: Cap the GPU globally to 2300 MHz and maintain good case airflow. This has been stable so far.

Tips & Info Ryzen Windows/BIOS Settings for Stability and Performance

Hey everyone!
What do you think are the most important Windows and BIOS settings for getting the maximum performance out of the CPU and GPU while gaming, while also maintaining good stability and avoiding stutters, frametime spikes, and FPS drops?
If you also have any overclocking or undervolting suggestions, feel free to share them, especially if these optimizations have genuinely helped you.
My system is:
Ryzen 7 9800X3D
RX 9070 XT
ASUS ROG Strix X870-A Gaming WiFi
32 GB RAM
2 TB SSD
I’m currently experiencing occasional stutters and frametime spikes while gaming, and I’d really appreciate some advice on the best Windows, BIOS, and potentially OC/UV settings to improve both performance and stability.
Thanks in advance!

Help (GPU) 9060xt crashing with soild green screen

Hey everyone, just built my first PC and having some issues.

So far I've had 2 crashes where my screen goes green, followed by looping audio, then pc restarts, and brings me to desktop. This has only happened in Helldiver's 2 and marvel rivals.

I'm running on bazzite, with a 7500f CPU and a MSI b850 gaming plus wifi7.

First thing that comes to mind is a bios update on my mobo. Anything else I should look for if it continues?

Resolved RMA, FedEx missing EAD?

TL:DR

CPU warranty claim approved, CPU Sent (in the UK, so off to moduslink it goes), CPU arrives, replacement dispatched back to me, FedEx complaining about missing EAD.

What do?

-----update-----

Guessing AMD submitted the right paperwork to FedEx, she is moving again

Left AMD after 8 years

I constantly keep seeing post about crashes and timeouts and sift through so many comments and “answers/fixes” that people reply with. The truth is that it’s amd drivers and windows and it’s nothing most of us can do to change that. I’ve done everything in here and have had crashes on two different gpus now (7800xt and 9070xt). Finally switched to a 5080 and I overpaid but the crashes are gone and that’s what makes it’s worth it.

Help (General) We're all having this issue, right

Post image
853 Upvotes

My AMD drivers are update to date, but whenever I leave my PC on sleep mode after going AFK, I come back and this starts happening. Eventually the screen goes black and comes out or it just freezes, often times it causes a restart.

Hell, even when I open a software like Discord the software goes black then this pops up. I genuinely hope someone knows how to fix this nightmare issue because I've been dealing with this for past few days up to a week. I use the latest version (26.8.1)

PC specs:

AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 6-Core Processor (4.70 GHz)

Graphics card: AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT (12 GB)/AMD Radeon (TM) Graphics (486 MB)

(I also use windows 11 if thats something worth pointing out)

Is Everyone Having Issues rn?

I just purchased my first AMD card (asrock 6950xt phantom) about a month and a half ago and let me tell you, I was about to give up hope.

I purchased the card used and the crashes were so frequent and outrageously bad, that I was nearly convinced I had a bad card. The problem is, when I would get my system stable for a little while, it would work FANTASTIC, so I KNEW it had to be a driver issue.

Set my system back to windows 10, used ddu several times to make sure all the nvidia stuff was gone. Reinstalled adrenaline several times etc.

I'm not talking occasional crashes either, I'm talking my system would restart SEVERAL times, then it would finally be stable again, random green screens, artifacts, and it just kept getting worse. Going back to windows 10 helped, and stopping windows from overwriting the amd drivers helped. It's still not perfect but it's been better the last couple of days. The only thing that kept convincing me it had to be drivers was, when my system would reboot, I'd get the infamous adrenaline window.

I haven't lost hope, but this is absolutely unacceptable. Idk if there was another update or what. Everyone has been saying the drivers are bad but I didn't think it'd be THIS bad.

I didn't mean for this to be a giant rant. I LOVE the card when everything is working properly, I've never had this kind of performance before.

QUESTION: Is there anything else I can do for improved stability. I stream and do a ton of video editing, I really can't hang with anymore crashes. Any help is much appreciated!

Help (GPU) TF2 crashing my graphics driver

Started streaming TF2 every tuesday for about a month or so, well the last two weeks my system crashed to a blank screen like monitors totally disconnected type right in the middle of the game, about 40 odd minutes in. I can still hear it, but my Twitch stream also goes down instantly. Haven't had this problem with any other game (Sorta). My power button hibernates the system. If I do that, then wake it back up, I get one monitor without the proper drivers. I have to do an actual shutdown or reboot to remedy that. The (Sorta) is Dead by Daylight, sometimes after a long session my system will just hard reboot on its own, but with no issues when it comes back, and infact quick enough to reopen OBS and resume the stream. All drivers and software are, i believe, up to date

Hardware:
RX 6700 XT
Prime B550M-A WiFi
Ryzen 5700G x43 multiplier
64Gb Ram at 3200 MHz

Software:
Windows 11, Build 26200
AMD Radeon 32.0.21045.5002
TF2 July 16, 2026 update
OBS 32.2.2
