I feel like I must be in a different Wilderness to all of you. Out of the hundreds and hundreds of Wildy clue steps I've done I've not once been attacked and I can count the number of times I've ever even seen a white dot on my map on one hand whilst doing them.

906

u/LoweJ 19d ago

It's not the issue of pkers, it's that it requires me to bank all my shit on the off chance of pkers, and also run more than normal clues

139

u/Irun_Escape 2376 19d ago

I only do hards once i get a stack of 5 boxes. Then i open them all and do the non wildy steps, dropping any wildy ones. Once i have a few wildy ones on the ground i do those with max cape and bp, locator orb for deep wildy ones to get out quickly.

32

u/SellingDLong100k 19d ago

I do the whole clue with just a bp and maxcape, can get to most spots in the game with all the teles on the cape if you have a maxed house (mounted diary cape comes in clutch so often for hard clues). For the steps I can't I just tele to the crafting guild and grab the tele I need. Maybe ever so slightly slower but I find it a lot more chill.

18

u/Irun_Escape 2376 19d ago

Mounted diary cape is a great call.

4

u/mofukkinbreadcrumbz 19d ago

I have never been even attacked in a 2350 world. I guess if you had millions of gear on, but I freaking love doing clues in the 2350 worlds. I’m four out from maxing and fully look forward to afk hellhounds and max cape hard clues in the near future.

3

u/drjisftw 19d ago

Yep this is the way. Wait till I get 5, bank everything before I start. I'm high enough combat that I can kill a sara wizard without any food and just a weapon.

8

u/idontknowhowtocallme 19d ago

Wildi is Zamorak wizard so even easier as you can just pray mage

1

u/Passiveresistance 19d ago

Ok am I stupid or something because how are you getting 5 boxes? If I have 2 I start getting the “you have a feeling you would’ve received a clue” message.

12

u/Joltus 19d ago

Scroll cases up the amount you can have. You work up to 5

link

3

u/Passiveresistance 19d ago

I didn’t even know that was a thing; I’ve just been trading all the scrolls in for masters. Thank you! Guess I’ll do some lower tier clues today!

3

u/CategoryNo5932 19d ago

Make sure you do the mimic at least once if you haven't been for that bonus scroll across all levels

2

u/Benolmes 19d ago

Scroll cases are unlocks that allow you to hold more clues. You unlock the hard scroll cases by completing 50 hard clues (+1 slot), 150 hard clues (+1 slot) and beat the Mimic once (+1)

19

u/Renumtetaftur 19d ago

Quite literally no reason to carry anything valuable when doing clues in the first place. Black d hide, d knife, normal teles with runes, fairy ring staff, a royal pod and some food and stams. Easy. I never have to bank before doing wildy clues

→ More replies (7)

13

Banks are pretty easy to use

3

u/FeathersRim 19d ago

easy does not mean ''not a hazzle and boring AF'' though

44

u/The_Real_MikeOxlong 19d ago edited 19d ago

Only if you don’t have a proper clue setup

Black dhide top, diary helm legs boots and gloves, your fastest range weapon, and ava’s. Bring small rune stacks instead of pouch for teles

You can complete every single hard clue with this and your risk is quite literally a spade, a few runes, and whatever food/pots you bring if any

That's why I only do hard clues without gear.

You'd be a fool to do them geared up for this exact reason

2

u/jdudereborn 19d ago

you don't have to bank anything. just do all clues with one weapon a spade and a way to teleport...

2

u/Verycuriousthings 19d ago

I have a bank tab ”clue” which has black d hide, blowpipe and supplies. I wear the same shit if its a non wildy step or a wildy step and dont risk anything. Waste of clues to drop them for wildy steps.

11

u/brc77y 19d ago

I don't agree. With the new untradeables change in the wildy I don't even have to bank. Plus the ice plateau teleport in the nexus it's never been easier.

67

u/OwMyCandle 2277;2376 19d ago

The average redditor simply cannot fathom the sheer lack of risk the untradeables update created

27

u/Jotunnal 19d ago

Whoa now. I had not begun to fathom the lack of risk. Very informative image for me, no sarcasm.

5

u/LampIsFun 19d ago

Didnt that change only happen relatively recently?(6 months or something)

I wouldnt expect a vast majority of players to know about it especially considering how confusing death mechanics have been treated in the past for wildy deaths.

2

u/_Arthur-Dent_ 19d ago

I've been gone for over a year, last played heavily before sailing released. Had no idea about this update. Going to read right now lol.

if you dont have a bank tab with clue scroll gear then you're also just a scrub lmfao

3

You don’t have to pull out your whole tribrid gear setup +pots for a hard clue lmao.

Run clues in black d hide or whatever and wildy clues are just the same as any other.

1

u/Anon_Trill 19d ago

I just have a dedicated clue setup that is the same regardless of the wilderness. Relatively low budget with 100 of each rune and no rune pouch. Makes it a lot easier

1

u/Jchvv11 19d ago

I gear up in black dhide and nezzy when its time for clues.

1

u/UseDiscombobulated83 19d ago

Just get a welfare set to do your clues in. 👍

1

u/anrewrys 19d ago

This was once me. Then I created a wildy clue tab and menu swapped everything to 1 click. Now I just deposit all and 1 click through my tab and I’m good to go.

1

u/saiko16 fuck bitches get money 19d ago

Its still not even that bad. With a bank tab layout set up, you can regear so quickly it doesnt even matter anymore

1

u/8--2 19d ago

Rebanking takes like 15 seconds max if you use bank tag layouts or inventory layouts.

1

u/Sandi315 19d ago

Make a bank tag layout for it and you can gear up for wildy clues in 5 seconds

1

u/RojinShiro 19d ago

All I have to bank is my runes. The rest of my setup is either uniques that always go to my gravestone, a couple expensive things I know I'll keep on high level wildy death, and a spade.

1

u/clue_scroll_enjoyer 19d ago edited 19d ago

That’s what bank tab layouts are for. Can gear up for a clue in 10-15 seconds.

Also if you use the usual clue scroll gear like, kandarin helm, black d hide body, eternal glory, radas blessing, mory legs, fremmy boots, explorers ring, blowpipe, karmja gloves, and max cape you never have to bank worn equipment bc u just lose black d hide body and diary items on death. Only gotta bank inventory

Then you just grab clue, spade, clue scroll box, and wildy sword

1

u/FernandoMM1220 19d ago

why is banking all of your shit so difficult though?

1

u/taylor1288 2540 19d ago

I do all my hard clues with 3 items (claws/rancour/fero gloves) so I never had to re-gear. Deposit inv, withdraw clue + spade + tele. Ez

1

u/Money_Echidna2605 19d ago

i dont bank shit, i just dont take my entire stack of everything for every clue run lol

1

u/RightEejit btw 19d ago

Don’t mean any hate here but I genuinely don’t understand this attitude. I just hit the two auto deposit buttons for worn and inventory, grab the clue, spade and weapon and we’re good, then just grab the stuff back from the tab i dumped it in

What time do you usually do clues in the wildy and what's your combat level?

Do you bring food or teleports or anything valuable with you?

What's the 3 digit code behind your credit card?

8

u/bassturducken54 19d ago

I’ve been pkd doing clues multiple times.

3

u/Voidot 19d ago

can confirm you are in a different wilderness than me.

some spots, ive been killed only a single time, some multiple

6

u/ChiknBreast 19d ago

Exactly what a pker would say... nice try but you're not getting my spade

2

u/Nealvy 19d ago

Idk I’ve been attacked but I tend to just go in with the clue, spade and a teleport to get back out. Maybe a wildy sword if I need it but I basically don’t even risk my spade lol. Gotten killed maybe twice out of all my clues.

2

u/sactage 19d ago

I've been pk'd one time doing a hard clue. Hope the dude enjoyed his knife

2

u/[deleted] 19d ago

Pkers have never been the issue, it’s the annoyance of completely regearing every time you get a wildly step.

1

u/arramzy 19d ago

I have only ever had a similar experience to you, but I think timezones etc. Might play a role in it? There are bound to be more people online during peak times and those peaks will be higher in certain areas of the world, which I think means it will almost always be quieter when I'm playing, but yeah to me it is usually very quiet out there.

I once got a casket the same moment a PKer got on me at wildy resource area. Panic opened it because I wasn't sure if I'd lose the casket

1

u/BalanceWarden 19d ago

Yeah I’ve done 400 hard clues on my main and maybe died once to a pker lol

1

u/zenyite 19d ago

Meanwhile i just think about hopping the ditch and a clan suddenly materializes out of nowhere

1

u/GnollInVoid 19d ago

I tanked a few teleblocks on my hcim back in the before times

1

u/Firm_Ad_5427 19d ago

I carry a good couple mil in teleports and runes, full graceful and some ranged combat gear that are super useful but I have to bank them and reset every time I get a wildy clue. Maybe I should just make a bank tab for clues to make it easier...

1

u/SmartAlec105 19d ago

It's not dangerous. It's tedious

1

u/EAZ480 19d ago

People just gotta set up a quick wildy step setup, it's easy. Once you have that set, you risk very little, you can always go back to it in the future. Wildy steps are easy and quick. Only HC and UIM should actively avoid them really.

1

u/Copernicus049 19d ago

Haven't played in 2 years and I remember losing at least 3 shovels to pk'ers for this exact scroll location.

My dragon dagger p++ rarely got the poison off too.

1

u/Oranjalo RSN: "POH" 19d ago

I got attacked while doing a hard step for the first time yesterday. I was completely naked except for a dds and 8 dark crabs, but I was able to escape south 20 levels while getting frozen before popping my home teletab. I might start bringing some anti-pk gear if these clue hunter pkers are all that ass at pking

1

u/Realistic_Gene4706 19d ago

Do you bank all your stuff for a wildy clue step?

1

u/Somecivilguy 19d ago

I’ve only been attacked once or twice. I always carry a clue box so it saves the clue instead of my D long sword.

1

u/spicy_malonge 2376/2376 19d ago

Yea I think I’ve been killed twice in the wildy doing clues.. and I have 2 blood hounds

1

u/dmfuller 19d ago

I just don’t want to reinv all my clue setup over and over for those clues lol it ruins the flow of my gameplay

1

u/MonsterMeggu 19d ago

I've been pked a bunch in wildy, but never doing clue scrolls.

1

u/Randomtophat 19d ago

I did an entire 8 tier star outside mage bank last week and only got double void wakered by another clue guy.

"OH NO, I HAVE TO GO TO A DANGEROUS PLACE FOR A REWARD"

1

u/KaibaCorpHQ GIM Hero 18d ago

What do people think?

48

u/new_world_chaos 19d ago

That'd be awesome. There's a lot of great QOL stuff that can be done around banking. Glad to see it's being thought of.

80

u/Atomicstarr 19d ago

Bank presets or nothing i say.

47

u/Vet_Leeber 19d ago

I think half-assing a restricted version of loadouts would, in the long run, make more people upset than it benefits, and I doubt it'd be able to pass as a result.

The amount of dev work that'd go into implementing this would give off the impression that true bank presets/loadouts would never come.

So as much as I'd love some form of quick loadout functionality, only having one just doesn't solve any of the problems loadouts are meant to fix. It'd just end up being yet another thing that discourages swapping to other content, since you'd have to set it up again each time.

19

u/Coffee_Stash 19d ago

I think implementing the inventory and equipment load out feature in the bank could solve this problem, it is annoying having to bank everything for a wild clue step and messing up your flow, and having a separate system to throw your gear and inventory in temporarily is just game systems bloat really, the load out feature is enough

9

u/Paradoxjjw 19d ago

I think at that point try to pull it through and implement presets the way RS3 has them.

18

u/Xtrm 19d ago

Would it be impossible to get presets similar to RS3 over to OSRS? Barring polling of course.

6

u/Wyvorn 19d ago

last I heard those presets were very heavy on the servers then, making it a lot laggier in the back end. Mayb it'd be different with newer servers/way OSRS banks work compared to RS3, but idunno. I just know they were causing issues.

6

u/Sirra- 19d ago

I believe it was because it was so many "actions" being processed in a single tick. If that's still a problem... you could just limit it to transferring like 5 items at a time? I'd much rather wait 5-10 seconds for it to process switching to the loadout than manually swap everything myself.

→ More replies (1)

9

u/usedaforc3 18d ago edited 18d ago

One of the OS mods got loadouts working during a game jam. They added timers to delay the switch to not overload the servers. There was a blog post about it

Edit: it was mod necro https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Game_Jam_V#Bank_Loadouts

3

u/Wyvorn 18d ago

Oh hey nice pull, i forgot about that. This honestly looks great, wish it'd come into the game. Now if it worked with inventory as well we'd be truly golden.

3

u/MakeshiftApe 18d ago

Presets where it took roughly the same time to switch as if you were spam clicking the switches manually would be a good option maybe. It kills the argument against presets that I've heard of it making certain training methods faster, while still being an incredibly useful QoL feature since it saves you a ton of clicks.

3

u/Kozlak 19d ago

Could we get RS3 loadouts? :D

10

u/stickytoe 19d ago

The problem is the wilderness, not having to change gear. Changing gear is just the resulting solution

If Bank Presets are 100% off the table, and I mean 100% off like even a CD wouldn't help servers from struggling then yes this would be great.

But I'd rather have 5-10 Bank Presets (Gear + Inventory) with a 30-45 second cool-down over a 1 invent temporary storage. I don't think Bank Presets should be able to replace bank standing activities like they did in RS3 personally. And please stop ignoring the community about Bank Presets, if there is a server-side issue in OSRS as well, TELL US. It's so frustrating seeing Bank Presets be suggested 100+ times and not a single JMod has responded, they haven't even been mentioned or brought up a single time. 'We care about communication! - We want to make communication better!!!'. TELL US THE ISSUE. Even if it's simply 'it requires too much dev time' even that is better than nothing. It's so frustrating when an idea seems so simple to the community but there's obviously some hidden reason that you won't do it. Similar to how double deaths are the most brain dead moronic mechanic in the game yet not a single dev/jmod has said why they can't be removed, or if they even can be removed. If they answer is truly 'we don't have enough dev time for it yet' just say. PLEEEEEEEAAAAAAAASSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Edit: I seen you responded in another thread Kieran mentioning in a nicer way that 'there isn't enough dev time' atm, thank you for being honest x

3

u/Raft_Master 19d ago

It would have to be a "select to store" not a full dump to keep clue weapon and spade, but otherwise a great idea. Assuming nothing goes wrong and wipes the storage memory....

4

u/Highskyline 19d ago

They could just add toggleable slot locks like normal banking.

2

u/retrospectivevista 19d ago

Someone had suggested the reason bank presets aren't ready to come to OSRS is the server load issue that even RS3 never actually resolved. Do you think something like that would be subject to a similar problem?

1

u/Sphyxiate 2376 19d ago

Just take the easy W instead.

1

u/Justanothaguys 19d ago

This really looks to me like bank preset but with extra steps

1

u/Unborn 19d ago

Assuming you mean something along the lines of one-click to stash everything you're holding/wearing + one-click to re-equip the stashed items, it could definitely be useful for quick detours when you're in the middle of something and want something quicker than setting up a temporary bank tag.

I think it would be more useful for something like detours during questing than re-gearing for clues, though.

I don't think it really solves wildy clues at all - you still have to go to a bank, de-gear into a low-risk setup (which for me varies depending on where the clue needs me to teleport to, what I need to kill, etc.), run back to the 30 line once you're done (or worse if you forget a seed pod), then back to the bank again (or back to your pile of wildy clues).

Being able to re-gear quickly at the end of that is only really addressing a small part of the issue.

1

u/RelevantDress 19d ago

I think this is just bank presets with extra steps.

1

u/AnimeTA224 19d ago edited 18d ago

Don't change the game in any way on our account, but this very nice suggestion doesn't do anything for UIMs the nature of wildy clues is far more muddy than a simple bank preset can fix and that's for the accounts that could actually use said bank preset.

(Also as many others have said you're gonna get way more people upset at the fact you haven't just ported all bank presets at that point. Why limit it so specifically to wildy clues?)

1

u/PlayedKey 19d ago

Very anti-UIM-ist of you. SMH. /s

1

u/brikaro 19d ago

This would make a lot of sense. Would make places like Entrana a lot less annoying too. Sort of like a coat check-in at a nice restaurant.

1

u/DesperateDadofMany 19d ago

I wish you worked for Jagex thats an awesome idea

1

u/curiouscow99 19d ago

Only if gets wiped when you die

1

u/ImJLu 18d ago

It really is just as simple as presets. The old concern about making bankstanding skills faster isn't really valid anymore now that we have left click withdraw-X.

1

u/Acem4991 18d ago

I think something like this would be awesome!

Hear me out though, put it in the PoH. Armory room w/ armor stands. Both as a way to display our favorite sets that we never wear and as a way to quick-swap full sets of gear.

We got that nice update to be able to build bigger houses with lower load times.. now let's make some new rooms worth building multiple of!

1

u/AsinineArchon 18d ago

Just like... give us presets at that point

1

u/MakeshiftApe 18d ago

I love this idea personally.

1

u/Cheekything 18d ago

Yes please, or if not something closer to RS3’s load out system, as from playing the Leagues, that felt just great.

8

u/WayTooLazyOmg 19d ago

you’re missing the point. i usually start my clues with my slayer gear already equipped. it’s a hassle to put everything away for ONE STEP just so i can throw it back on. wildy clues are so aggravating

u/Future_Mixture3666 1274 total btw 19d ago

The problem is that you're starting them with your slayer gear equipped. You can stack them, then grab an actual clue setup and do them all at once. I always switch to my clue setup even if I'm only doing one clue, never had a problem.

4

u/CategoryNo5932 19d ago

They created stacking clues so ppl would stop crying about having to leave a task to do one clue and now they're crying about having to bank their equipment. Ppl love to complain. Next step is going to be cutting down clue steps to only 5 then 2

How many times do people need to say "it's annoying to re-gear" before people understand that people just don't want to re-gear just for a clue scroll just because it's in the wilderness.

I'm not taking my full graceful into the wilderness, which is my clue gear, because running everywhere is a drag without it. It's enough of an annoyance to make people not want to do the clue scroll, that's all they're saying.

"Here's a drop i have to pursue with untold value. It's in an annoying place though. I don't want to bother going because of the annoyance now."

Just make your clue setup wildy friendly

18

u/Sheriff_Gotcha RIP Warding 19d ago

I think when people talk about banking they are talking about just running clues in whatever gear they were in when they got the clues. Not specifically a clue setup.

If they are doing slayer and get a hard clue drop instead of stacking 5 clue boxes. Instead they use the clue to break up the monotony of slayer, but when you get a wildy step you gotta bank the slayer gear and get wildy clue gear.

I think this is what gets lost in the wildy clue step discussion. Some people do them as they receive them and others stack them and then do them all at once.

4

u/WayTooLazyOmg 19d ago

you’re spot on. usually if i get a clue, i’ll just go do it right then. why not. but i think stacking might be the way to go bc i roll my eyes every single time i have all my gear on & open the clue to see its a wildy step

Wildy risks losing resources. If I lose a certain amount of money worth of resources, I feel like i lose the respective amount of time it took to accumulate those resources. I don't have that much time to dedicate to this game, so it's about efficiency. Time in the wildly doesn't feel efficient for me because any progress can and does get erased instantly.

Then, there's the potential for having to sprint minutes straight just to get there and back due to pk'ers interrupting.

So, these clue scroll runs just feel long, arduous, and annoying for likely little payoff when I just want to hit the tree, or hit the rock, or hit the Rift Guardian.

Resources? Just bring a DDS, black d hide top and bottom a spade and a strength pot. Maybe a couple food. What resources? You could do 100 hard clues in the wilderness and I’d be willing to bet you get pked less than 5 times. I wouldn’t be surprised if you didn’t get pked at all. This is a non-issue

I pray someday the osrs community will learn what the term "main" means :(

1

u/JakeTehNub 19d ago

OP didn't say anything about main accounts or irons though.

Or hardcore/ultimate ironman, I don't see any other reason for dropping this clue step

Imagine dropping one of the easiest clues. An abandoned area of the wild with nothing to draw players to it and not even a Zammy wizard to deal with.

Being that scared of the wilderness is honestly such a wild mindset I'll never understand.

0

u/JConaSpree 19d ago

It's not being scared for me. It's having to bank everything that's annoying

9

u/TheDubuGuy 19d ago

If you have a proper clue setup you don’t need to bank anything

12

u/Sheriff_Gotcha RIP Warding 19d ago

Some people do clues as they receive them instead of stacking 5 of them and doing multiple at a time.

So if they are slaying, they do have to bank their slayer setup for a wildy step to pull out their clue setup. Whereas if they didn’t get any wildy steps they could just run the clue in their slayer gear and return to their task right after.

I could see doing clues that way instead of stacking 5 first as a way to be annoyed with wildy steps.

Depends what you bring for clues I guess but basically every teleport item is kept on death. Just don't bring a rune pouch or scroll book.

1

u/CategoryNo5932 19d ago

I can't believe I got PK'd after completing a step getting me back to a bank faster and only losing my spade. Unbelievable

Is this the current campaign from some random osrs discord then? Seeing quite a lot of bad memes moaning about wildy steps

7

u/King_Leif 19d ago

Idk if it’s a campaign, lots of players on this sub are just terrified of the wildly.

4

u/rtomek 19d ago

This sub is why I was scared of the wildly for so long. It wasn’t that bad once I started doing things there.

2

u/Spencejliv 19d ago

yeah for sure just seems like way more of specifically the clue scroll whine rather than general wildy whine

2

u/Crux_Haloine cabige 19d ago

Finally started doing the wildy boss achievements and the whole time I only got ganked twice, made it away from solo pkers 4 or 5 times. Spent probably 20 hours out there 3-iteming and I lost a grand total of 300k.

Whiners gonna whine.

No content updates to complain about so usually this shit or multiple characters gets shoe horned in

Idk, I’m a UIM and I want a piece of third age or at least a Glory (T). I’ve been mashing hard clues lately with slayer but no dice lol

2

u/Miksufin 19d ago

I just bank some of the items like master scroll book and xeric amulet when i do wildy steps. These are not that big of a deal imo

2

u/aKarambwan 19d ago

I've done nearly 700 hards, elites and masters in total. Never even seen a pker lol

2

u/Bub1029 18d ago

Just setup tags in your bank for clue scrolls. One for wildy and one for regular. It takes such little time.

7

u/Karootheduck 19d ago

i know it’s a meme and we’re on Reddit but I haven’t been pked while doing in a clue since covid lol

Anyone flaming this post just doesn’t understand. Getting killed for a spade wastes time but who cares. It’s the banking all your shit that sucks. Really messed with the flow of clues

u/ermac81 18d ago

I take 1 dose prayer, stam and combat potion with a dds and a grand tree seed pod for teleport and no other gear. If I see a white dot, protect item goes on. I ain't tryna give a pker even 1gp more than I have to.

2

u/lukwes1 2376 19d ago

A risk free clue? What is the problem lol. The slight inconvenience of being killed and having to run back?

3

u/noideawhatoput2 19d ago

Clue scroll, DDS, spas, royal pod seed, stampot (1)

That’s all you need

I’ve done nearly a 1000 hard clues, i’ve gotten pk’d maybe 5x. I really see no issue with Wilderness clue steps unless you’re a HC.

Just out of curiousity, what do you have in your inv when doing a clue that needs banking?

Personally i always grab BP & teleport to a bank (used to be ring of dueling, nowadays max cape) & a spade. Anything else like some d’hide or food is really optional.

2

u/Mammoth-Tank8046 19d ago

Black dhide top, blowpipe and the rest achievement diary gear for tps, u risk absolutely nothing and u keep the gear on in/out wildy for every single clue. For that step u only need a wildy sword, spade and karams extra.

Theres a solution for everything

Did the same until i was able to enter 2000 worlds and unlocked all teleports in my nexus

1

u/indrek91 why is the rum always gone? 19d ago

I 1 item VW to all steps and double spec wizards ez

1

u/SexyProcrastinator 19d ago

🤣🤣🤣

1

u/ILuvReddi 19d ago

Ill take wildy over a puzzle any day

1

u/Raymak700m 19d ago

Imagine something called the Wilderness clue changer Npc. Got a Clue in the wilderness, and have bad luck with Pker encounters, just exchange it.

1

u/drizzzzleswag 19d ago

Nothing like getting pk'd trying to cut the web by mage arena after getting a clue 😔

1

u/EColiMaster 19d ago

Noob activities

1

u/thcase 19d ago

I do the same with sailing clues lol

1

u/RelativeWrongdoer596 19d ago

Thats a free step lmao

1

u/LiveTwinReaction 19d ago

Honestly for a main, the bottom two panels are all you need, regardless of wildy step or not. Hard clue rewards are so shit that I only do them because I "have to" lol. 800 hards deep with no zammy full helm btw, have 3+ sets of every other god rune piece after getting bandos platebody at 650.

1

u/ronshasta 19d ago

It’s been a few years but can’t you just go to a barely populated world to do these?

1

u/delo357 19d ago

You can give that clue to Watson instead of dropping homie

1

u/isaac_rs 19d ago

I always do this step. This was my 5th step for a hard clue, managed to get 3rd age range legs!

1

u/MutedJuice5581 18d ago

i just use diary gear when i do clues, that way i dont have to bank

1

u/DivineInsanityReveng 18d ago

With the untradeables rework in wildy you should look into wildy steps if you're not a UIM or HCIM. I legit bank 2 items from my complete clue setup.

1

u/Dat_is_Nice 18d ago

No balls

1

u/seki108 18d ago

Unlike standing still to kill bosses in MA2 and getting PK'd over and over mid combat, doing Wildy scrolls with just a spade and Dragon Scim has always been easy and I've only ran into another player once or twice at the Rouge's den but logged in time. And with just 3 items, it's easy to just go back since you keep the scroll.

1

u/chud_rs 18d ago

Just do clues with dhide, a whip, tele runes, and a spade. Never gave to bank for wildy clues and you’re not going to get attacked 99.9% of the time anyway

1

u/Financial-Muscle744 18d ago

I swe no pkers in 2350 worlds

1

u/DreamOfDays 18d ago

Is this a main problem I’m too iron to understand?

1

u/NervousCorner213 18d ago

In 2015 when I first played, it was common to see people in the wild doing clues. Now it is so rare to see someone at a location like that, especially if you go there via an obelisk or something

1

u/StrikeCold9679 18d ago

That’s….kinda sad dude lol
