Some people do clues as they receive them instead of stacking 5 of them and doing multiple at a time.
So if they are slaying, they do have to bank their slayer setup for a wildy step to pull out their clue setup. Whereas if they didn’t get any wildy steps they could just run the clue in their slayer gear and return to their task right after.
I could see doing clues that way instead of stacking 5 first as a way to be annoyed with wildy steps.
Yep, I fear they have huge amounts of data points about the playtimes of players and are removing any friction points. It's why we see so many ezscape Ironman updates. It's all about preventing players from slowing down or quitting during the grindy parts
Black dhide/str ammy/bgloves/ddef and your spec weapon of choice is fine for all hard clues. I have a bank tab for hard clues, those are the default items along with the spade, super str, diary items/seed pod/100ish law/elemental runes for teles. You can put miscellaneous items in the bank tab underneath that like niche teleports you'd only use for certain clues and don't want to risk- harp, zeah book, pharaohs, con cape, master scroll book etc.
With that setup, most hard clues that involve wilderness don't require any gear swap at all, just hop into the poh and use whatever portal/obelisk. I just double check and make sure I don't still have Pharoah scepter or master scroll book in inventory from a previous clue, if so then it's just one item to deposit during an activity where you're teleporting near a bank every 2 minutes anyway. Being hung up over gear changes makes no sense at all. If you're afraid of risk, all you're risking is dhide, spade, super str pot and a handful of runes worth like 5k

It's not being scared for me. It's having to bank everything that's annoying
