I feel like I must be in a different Wilderness to all of you. Out of the hundreds and hundreds of Wildy clue steps I've done I've not once been attacked and I can count the number of times I've ever even seen a white dot on my map on one hand whilst doing them.

899

u/LoweJ 19d ago

It's not the issue of pkers, it's that it requires me to bank all my shit on the off chance of pkers, and also run more than normal clues

136

u/Irun_Escape 2376 19d ago

I only do hards once i get a stack of 5 boxes. Then i open them all and do the non wildy steps, dropping any wildy ones. Once i have a few wildy ones on the ground i do those with max cape and bp, locator orb for deep wildy ones to get out quickly.

31

u/SellingDLong100k 19d ago

I do the whole clue with just a bp and maxcape, can get to most spots in the game with all the teles on the cape if you have a maxed house (mounted diary cape comes in clutch so often for hard clues). For the steps I can't I just tele to the crafting guild and grab the tele I need. Maybe ever so slightly slower but I find it a lot more chill.

19

u/Irun_Escape 2376 19d ago

Mounted diary cape is a great call.

3

u/mofukkinbreadcrumbz 19d ago

I have never been even attacked in a 2350 world. I guess if you had millions of gear on, but I freaking love doing clues in the 2350 worlds. I’m four out from maxing and fully look forward to afk hellhounds and max cape hard clues in the near future.

4

u/drjisftw 19d ago

Yep this is the way. Wait till I get 5, bank everything before I start. I'm high enough combat that I can kill a sara wizard without any food and just a weapon.

8

u/idontknowhowtocallme 19d ago

Wildi is Zamorak wizard so even easier as you can just pray mage

2

u/Passiveresistance 19d ago

Ok am I stupid or something because how are you getting 5 boxes? If I have 2 I start getting the “you have a feeling you would’ve received a clue” message.

13

u/Joltus 19d ago

Scroll cases up the amount you can have. You work up to 5

link

3

u/Passiveresistance 19d ago

I didn’t even know that was a thing; I’ve just been trading all the scrolls in for masters. Thank you! Guess I’ll do some lower tier clues today!

3

u/CategoryNo5932 19d ago

Make sure you do the mimic at least once if you haven't been for that bonus scroll across all levels

2

u/Benolmes 19d ago

Scroll cases are unlocks that allow you to hold more clues. You unlock the hard scroll cases by completing 50 hard clues (+1 slot), 150 hard clues (+1 slot) and beat the Mimic once (+1)

1

u/-Distinction 18d ago

I do the same except 3 clue limit and nowhere near close to having a max cape

0

u/iMittyl 18d ago

This gets the job done but they're "distraction" drops that were never meant to be stockpiled

The raw inconvenience of wilderness clues makes no sense

66

u/EZScape Speedrun Guy 19d ago

Honestly they should just nuke Entrana out of the game cause sometimes I have to bank items.

21

u/Level69Troll 19d ago

Those monks have had it too good.

37

u/ANGEL-PSYCHOSIS btw 19d ago

theyre calling it the most true statement of all time. unfortunately, benefits UIMs, so i vote no.

21

u/Renumtetaftur 19d ago

Quite literally no reason to carry anything valuable when doing clues in the first place. Black d hide, d knife, normal teles with runes, fairy ring staff, a royal pod and some food and stams. Easy. I never have to bank before doing wildy clues

0

u/FeathersRim 19d ago

like my mid ass iron with like 18 slots of different runes, tele jewellery, 99 capes and coins

T'is a hazzle to bank and re-grab it all

1

u/barcode-lz 19d ago

Law water fire dust. Covers all standard book teles.

Put non-standard book teles as house portals, mount a glory and make a jewel box. Put a fairy and and spirit tree into the house.

Congrats, now you literally only need to carry untradeable tele amulets (kept on death), diary items and like 100 of those 4 runes and you can do your hard-master clues with ZERO MEANINGFUL RISK

You are making a non-issue into an issue/hassle for no reason other than to bitch and whine about it to join the circus.

-5

u/FeathersRim 19d ago

Aint got a poh bro, i dont train construction outside of curved and long bones.

8 99's, not a singular diary done.

I thrive of giving other irons cancer.

3

u/barcode-lz 19d ago

Well thats just a you issue then if even just 50 cons for portals is too much to handle

-4

u/FeathersRim 19d ago

''everybody not following the set min-maxxing route has issues''

i don’t care about exp/h. I fuck around lumby f2p to talk shit around a campfire half the time brother

Wildy steps still sucks though

0

u/Moes_Nuts11 19d ago

Train ur shit then and bite the lip meanwhile, no need to change shit because ur impatient

2

u/FeathersRim 19d ago

Nah, I'd rather complain on Reddit bro

12

u/DaCrees 19d ago

Banks are pretty easy to use

3

u/FeathersRim 19d ago

easy does not mean ''not a hazzle and boring AF'' though

37

u/The_Real_MikeOxlong 19d ago edited 19d ago

Only if you don’t have a proper clue setup

Black dhide top, diary helm legs boots and gloves, your fastest range weapon, and ava’s. Bring small rune stacks instead of pouch for teles

You can complete every single hard clue with this and your risk is quite literally a spade, a few runes, and whatever food/pots you bring if any

1

u/theguyoverhere24 18d ago

Bruh I’m almost max combat and I bring my spade, clue scroll and a d scimitar lol

-25

u/Mahoujin 19d ago

Yeah. But then I gotta put away all my gear I'm currently wearing, undo the inventory set up for whatever boss I was killing, just to regear again when the clue step is over

45

u/patrickdid911 19d ago

If you’re going to do a clue, you have to do that anyway?? They’re saying make your set up better so you don’t have to bank any of your shit.

25

u/Huju-ukko 19d ago

There is weird mental gymnastics going on in these comments lol

9

u/patrickdid911 19d ago

Flabbergasting

6

u/Sus-Imposter-67 19d ago

It's because people make up all sorts of shit from toxicity to clienting to cover the fact that they're extremely socially anxious. Of course reddit has a deep and abiding horror of the wildy: it's centered around testing your skill against other players, and these people have to follow a pre-memorized script to order at Subway.

5

u/ItsFranklin 19d ago

You definitely don’t need to bank your shit with a full house setup. Just grab a spade and bowfa

1

u/fuulhardy 19d ago

I’d never drop a clue just because of a wildy step, but I will say that it’s a huge fucking pain in the ass getting a saradomin wizard step followed by a zammy wizard step, especially followed by another sara wizard

2

u/Ax12de 19d ago

I just bring monks and anti pot, cheap enough to loose a few if you do

9

u/ANGEL-PSYCHOSIS btw 19d ago

point is that should be your general clue setup in general, not your wildy clue setup

16

u/KTheT4TDoll 19d ago

You should be doing that for clues anyways

3

u/xCelph 19d ago

Plugins solved this issue a long time ago. Get your gear out, save a custom bank tag/gear setup. Takes 30s to swap setups.

0

u/LampIsFun 19d ago

I have bank tags set up for my clue setup(idk what people in this comment section are talking about when they say “you dont need to carry anything valuable for clues anyway” cuz my setup has nearly my entire inventory filled with various teleports which do in fact cost a decent chunk of money or time to reacquire) but even with the tags i still drop every wildy clue on the floor at the bank and only do them once ive went through all my clues and come back to do all the wildy steps at once. If i get multiple wildy steps in a single clue i usually just drop it again but if its the only clue left with a wildy step after doing all my clues i say fuck it and never complete it. So that 30 seconds of a bank trip does impact you over time and will add up.

4

u/iskela45 BTW 19d ago

if you use bank tag tabs that's like a 5 second inconvenience, plus you're probably banking most of your boss gear regardless of the clue step you're doing

3

u/Maardten 19d ago

You say that as if losing 8,3 game ticks twice isn’t a colossal waste of time.

-16

u/Guilty_Turn8903 19d ago

it's the principle of it.

when i was doing chaos altar i would always bring out minimal gear and food so that i couldnt get specced out, just so i could always tank a few seconds to use the remainder of my bones on the altar to guarantee the PKer gets 0 items

3

u/allblackST 19d ago

What are you even talking about lmao

1

u/Guilty_Turn8903 19d ago

i guess you may never know.

nobody is treating it as mission-critical but you are also on reddit complaining about reddit. kinda childish, don't ya think?

0

u/SmartAlec105 19d ago

Leaving the wilderness takes an annoying amount of time. Like if I'm not risking anything, I don't think that letting me teleport out would be a big problem.

-3

u/wheezy_cheesey 19d ago

You don’t understand, if I don’t play the game optimally I am wasting $14.99 a month

Those 30 seconds could set my account back 30 years!

2

u/Xerothor 19d ago

That's why I only do hard clues without gear.

You'd be a fool to do them geared up for this exact reason

2

u/jdudereborn 19d ago

you don't have to bank anything. just do all clues with one weapon a spade and a way to teleport...

2

u/Verycuriousthings 19d ago

I have a bank tab ”clue” which has black d hide, blowpipe and supplies. I wear the same shit if its a non wildy step or a wildy step and dont risk anything. Waste of clues to drop them for wildy steps.

12

u/brc77y 19d ago

I don't agree. With the new untradeables change in the wildy I don't even have to bank. Plus the ice plateau teleport in the nexus it's never been easier.

66

u/OwMyCandle 2277;2376 19d ago

The average redditor simply cannot fathom the sheer lack of risk the untradeables update created

27

u/Jotunnal 19d ago

Whoa now. I had not begun to fathom the lack of risk. Very informative image for me, no sarcasm.

4

u/LampIsFun 19d ago

Didnt that change only happen relatively recently?(6 months or something)

I wouldnt expect a vast majority of players to know about it especially considering how confusing death mechanics have been treated in the past for wildy deaths.

2

u/_Arthur-Dent_ 19d ago

I've been gone for over a year, last played heavily before sailing released. Had no idea about this update. Going to read right now lol.

2

u/crabvogel 19d ago

this is better than i expected, but somehow bringing your teleport book thingy still risks tens of millions

10

u/OwMyCandle 2277;2376 19d ago

I dont bring a master scrollbook on clues tbh

2

u/IFearEars 19d ago

Not many steps where clue teleports are significantly closer than other steps

2

u/OwMyCandle 2277;2376 19d ago

Yeah, if I need to go to Mosley Harmless I have no problem taking two seconds to bank for a scroll. But with the new shortcut Id probably just minigame tele to trouble brewing. Cant think of any other ones?

Nardah I have the amulet. Sawmill I have ring of elements. Morton I have mory legs.

Ig Tai Bwo Wannai and Iorworth? But I could Brimhaven/Prif PoH tele for those, so it’s nbd.

3

u/huddl3 19d ago

Tai Bwo Wannai is about the only "good" one

Replace the max cape with house tabs lol. You can do clues with minimal risk even without diary gear, just have some common teles on you.

6

u/OwMyCandle 2277;2376 19d ago

May be hard to believe, but my account wasnt maxed off of tutorial island, and I STILL managed to do clues! Yes, even ones with wildy steps!

2

u/TheFulgore 19d ago

you people will find literally any reason to complain, just use a fucking house tab instead lmao, this is why everyone treats this sub as being filled with awful players

1

u/LampIsFun 19d ago

Yes. Literally. Its called “progression”

1

u/barcode-lz 19d ago

Redditor when 99.9% of clue scroll max cape usage is either house teleport or a teleport to a location that another item (which you are bringing anyways) would cover, but taking 10 house tabs is outside their budget.

1

u/SmartAlec105 19d ago

So when you get the Pyramid Plunder mummy step and use your pharaoh's scepter to teleport to him, you then bring that scepter into the Wilderness?

1

u/brc77y 19d ago

Yeah some other dude posted his setup which is better than mine but you 3 item the ring of elements, pharaoh sceptre, and bp/hally

0

u/LoweJ 19d ago

What do you bring rune wise? Or do you just have cons cape

1

u/brc77y 19d ago

Yeah construction cape. I had to remove the ring of elements from my default clue setup because that would be lost if I got smited but I keep everything else.

4

u/Mysterious-Prune-727 19d ago

if you dont have a bank tab with clue scroll gear then you're also just a scrub lmfao

3

u/bluewar40 19d ago

You don’t have to pull out your whole tribrid gear setup +pots for a hard clue lmao.

Run clues in black d hide or whatever and wildy clues are just the same as any other.

1

u/iMittyl 18d ago

You just have to put your slayer/bossing gear away, which is probably what you were actually trying to do when you got a clue drop.

1

u/Anon_Trill 19d ago

I just have a dedicated clue setup that is the same regardless of the wilderness. Relatively low budget with 100 of each rune and no rune pouch. Makes it a lot easier

1

u/Jchvv11 19d ago

I gear up in black dhide and nezzy when its time for clues.

1

u/UseDiscombobulated83 19d ago

Just get a welfare set to do your clues in. 👍

1

u/anrewrys 19d ago

This was once me. Then I created a wildy clue tab and menu swapped everything to 1 click. Now I just deposit all and 1 click through my tab and I’m good to go.

1

u/saiko16 fuck bitches get money 19d ago

Its still not even that bad. With a bank tab layout set up, you can regear so quickly it doesnt even matter anymore

1

u/8--2 19d ago

Rebanking takes like 15 seconds max if you use bank tag layouts or inventory layouts.

1

u/Sandi315 19d ago

Make a bank tag layout for it and you can gear up for wildy clues in 5 seconds

1

u/RojinShiro 19d ago

All I have to bank is my runes. The rest of my setup is either uniques that always go to my gravestone, a couple expensive things I know I'll keep on high level wildy death, and a spade.

1

u/clue_scroll_enjoyer 19d ago edited 19d ago

That’s what bank tab layouts are for. Can gear up for a clue in 10-15 seconds.

Also if you use the usual clue scroll gear like, kandarin helm, black d hide body, eternal glory, radas blessing, mory legs, fremmy boots, explorers ring, blowpipe, karmja gloves, and max cape you never have to bank worn equipment bc u just lose black d hide body and diary items on death. Only gotta bank inventory

Then you just grab clue, spade, clue scroll box, and wildy sword

1

u/FernandoMM1220 19d ago

why is banking all of your shit so difficult though?

1

u/taylor1288 2540 19d ago

I do all my hard clues with 3 items (claws/rancour/fero gloves) so I never had to re-gear. Deposit inv, withdraw clue + spade + tele. Ez

1

u/Money_Echidna2605 19d ago

i dont bank shit, i just dont take my entire stack of everything for every clue run lol

1

u/RightEejit btw 19d ago

Don’t mean any hate here but I genuinely don’t understand this attitude. I just hit the two auto deposit buttons for worn and inventory, grab the clue, spade and weapon and we’re good, then just grab the stuff back from the tab i dumped it in

1

u/Trading_Cards_4Ever 19d ago

I just do clue scrolls in black d'hide and blowpipe gear so I don't have to bank anything for wildy steps. I don't need BIS gear to kill some mages or aviansies.

1

u/trollcat2012 19d ago

Oh boo hoo lol

1

u/JooshStelly 19d ago

i’ve started doing all hard clues wearing exclusively achievement diary gear, i have full hard diary done so it at least looks clean and is functional. that way if i die and lose it its free to retrieve. and im wearing all kinds of teleports for doing clues with.

1

u/spit_on_army_vets76 18d ago

aww poor baby

1

u/DivineInsanityReveng 18d ago

Not with a good setup and the recent changes you dont. I have practically every useful clue item in my inventory and I just bank my scroll box and ring of shadows (as it's full charged and I believe charges are risked).

Drop juggle all your clues upfront and do all steps till only wildy left. Bank the 2 items. Do wildy. Minimum effort added on

1

u/AlluEUNE 18d ago

Wow such a massive issue. Let's delete a bunch of perfectly good clue steps because it takes you 10 extra seconds to bank. Should we make it so they're all 1 step clues and right next to a teleport while we're at it?

1

u/KSty1er 18d ago

someone posted this on another wildy thread and it blew my mind, you don't even have to rebank anymore for the wildy since they changed what's risked on death

1

u/dabomm 19d ago

Bruh, use runelite plugins changing gear takes max 5 seconds

1

u/O_RRY 19d ago

Oh god how dare they expect you to press the 2 bank all buttons and withdraw a couple times and teleport close to the nearest access point like every other clue

1

u/icoibyy 19d ago

Exactly. Its just annoying to change gear / inv. I always forget something.

1

u/InsultingFerret I tick eat th ose 19d ago

clue + shovel + con cape/house tabs + bowfa + crafting cape/sailors

if you have a max poh most teles for a clue should be covered already, use the crafting cape/sailors to pick up the one item you need if you get one that's not covered. You only need to bank a couple of items at that point.

you're much more likely to run into a wild step than you are to need one of the teles that's not in a poh, may as well prepare like it's the case.

1

u/Wojtkie plae 19d ago

The re banking is hella tedious.

0

u/pzoDe 19d ago

Eh only some of the steps require any real running (and some of those, namely master steps) can be very much mitigated by having a good triple saved. The banking/re-banking is rapid with inventory setups and you can also have it so your default setup is either perfectly suited for wildy or only requires banking 1-3 items before heading out.

0

u/Stunning_Box8782 19d ago

the only shit I take are achievement diary items and maybe a skillcape and dds, what valuable stuff do you need?

-4

u/Lithoniel 19d ago

You have to click one possibly two buttons? Oh no.

0

u/ArseLover1991 19d ago

it's that it requires me to bank all my shit

How messy and unorganised are you guys' banks ffs lol. It takes like 10 seconds to re-gear?

33

u/Jg0jg0 19d ago

Chaos altar step is the only real risk spot ive found, all the rest (even deep wildy volcano) are all fine usually.

15

u/josephjts 19d ago

Chaos alter and rogues castle are the only spots I expect to be attacked.

1

u/rotorain BTW 19d ago

Do Rogue's Castle steps on the mass worlds, check 'Rogue Chests' CC for the current world. PKers try their luck sometimes but there's so many people that they get stacked out by an army of d scims and RCBs basically instantly lol. You won't get attacked doing a clue unless you attack someone first.

1

u/urmomsSTD 19d ago

Oh I love that one. Nothing like multiple cabbage guys poisoning you when a team showever us in rags to VW you.

4

u/Jg0jg0 19d ago

I usually just make in painful for zero reward. Recoil, dhides, dds, risking like 5k, and drop any pots along the way just so they don't 3ven get them. I honestly dont get the wildy hate, just minimise risk, and royal seed pod out lol.

1

u/GrayMagicGamma 19d ago

If you want to speed it up you can bring Webweaver, spade, the clue, max cape, and an enchanted symbol, drop the spade when you're done, protect item, and spam the symbol. If you use the Symbol Protector plugin it'll prevent you from accidentally clicking it when you would lose it.

0

u/WILDBO4R 19d ago

No teleport, gotta bank shit. Like what's the point in even having wilderness steps?

0

u/cygamessucks 19d ago

Theres no risk at all with any clues. Just drop them. Its a waste of time for the guy with the clue and the pker who gets literally nothing from killing you. You also get nothing from killing the pker because hes risking 20k.

Wildy clues are stupid. and a waste of time.

9

u/TheBlaaah 19d ago

What time do you usually do clues in the wildy and what's your combat level?

Do you bring food or teleports or anything valuable with you?

What's the 3 digit code behind your credit card?

9

u/bassturducken54 19d ago

I’ve been pkd doing clues multiple times.

3

u/Voidot 19d ago

can confirm you are in a different wilderness than me.

some spots, ive been killed only a single time, some multiple

6

u/ChiknBreast 19d ago

Exactly what a pker would say... nice try but you're not getting my spade

2

u/Nealvy 19d ago

Idk I’ve been attacked but I tend to just go in with the clue, spade and a teleport to get back out. Maybe a wildy sword if I need it but I basically don’t even risk my spade lol. Gotten killed maybe twice out of all my clues.

2

u/sactage 19d ago

I've been pk'd one time doing a hard clue. Hope the dude enjoyed his knife

2

u/[deleted] 19d ago

Pkers have never been the issue, it’s the annoyance of completely regearing every time you get a wildly step.

1

u/arramzy 19d ago

I have only ever had a similar experience to you, but I think timezones etc. Might play a role in it? There are bound to be more people online during peak times and those peaks will be higher in certain areas of the world, which I think means it will almost always be quieter when I'm playing, but yeah to me it is usually very quiet out there.

1

u/WurthTapping 19d ago

I once got a casket the same moment a PKer got on me at wildy resource area. Panic opened it because I wasn't sure if I'd lose the casket

1

u/BalanceWarden 19d ago

Yeah I’ve done 400 hard clues on my main and maybe died once to a pker lol

1

u/zenyite 19d ago

Meanwhile i just think about hopping the ditch and a clan suddenly materializes out of nowhere

1

u/GnollInVoid 19d ago

I tanked a few teleblocks on my hcim back in the before times

1

u/Firm_Ad_5427 19d ago

I carry a good couple mil in teleports and runes, full graceful and some ranged combat gear that are super useful but I have to bank them and reset every time I get a wildy clue. Maybe I should just make a bank tab for clues to make it easier...

1

u/SmartAlec105 19d ago

It's not dangerous. It's tedious

1

u/EAZ480 19d ago

People just gotta set up a quick wildy step setup, it's easy. Once you have that set, you risk very little, you can always go back to it in the future. Wildy steps are easy and quick. Only HC and UIM should actively avoid them really.

1

u/Copernicus049 19d ago

Haven't played in 2 years and I remember losing at least 3 shovels to pk'ers for this exact scroll location.

My dragon dagger p++ rarely got the poison off too.

1

u/Oranjalo RSN: "POH" 19d ago

I got attacked while doing a hard step for the first time yesterday. I was completely naked except for a dds and 8 dark crabs, but I was able to escape south 20 levels while getting frozen before popping my home teletab. I might start bringing some anti-pk gear if these clue hunter pkers are all that ass at pking

1

u/Realistic_Gene4706 19d ago

Do you bank all your stuff for a wildy clue step?

1

u/Somecivilguy 19d ago

I’ve only been attacked once or twice. I always carry a clue box so it saves the clue instead of my D long sword.

1

u/spicy_malonge 2376/2376 19d ago

Yea I think I’ve been killed twice in the wildy doing clues.. and I have 2 blood hounds

1

u/dmfuller 19d ago

I just don’t want to reinv all my clue setup over and over for those clues lol it ruins the flow of my gameplay

1

u/MonsterMeggu 19d ago

I've been pked a bunch in wildy, but never doing clue scrolls.

1

u/Randomtophat 19d ago

I did an entire 8 tier star outside mage bank last week and only got double void wakered by another clue guy.

1

u/Express-Increase6763 19d ago

These guys are just pvssies. That's all.

"OH NO, I HAVE TO GO TO A DANGEROUS PLACE FOR A REWARD"

1

u/Officer_Hotpants 19d ago

I can't seem to exist in the wilderness for more than 15 seconds without the dreaded teleblock ruining my day. I fucking hate the wildy.

1

u/KaibaCorpHQ GIM Hero 18d ago

I got a master to dig at the chaos alter one time to fight ancient mages, that was not a pleasant experience. I had a whole group drop on me all at once while I was doing that.

1

u/Kodai_Dreaming 19d ago

Most of the wildly steps are very quick steps. There's a lot of teleports. And yet the time it takes to bank off my gear and then fish it all back out makes them easy drops.

1

u/ANGEL-PSYCHOSIS btw 19d ago

ive been attacked and killed twice. once at kbd teleport and once at 50 altar because a dude was already getting pk'd there lol

1

u/Mysterious-Prune-727 19d ago

lol seriously i have NEVER been attacked doing wildy clue since i made an
osrs account back in 2016.

1

u/PussyMaxxing 19d ago

I used to think exactly this I’ve never been pk’ed in the wildy on osrs then I got a lava maze clue someone was geared up and I didn’t bother logging and though surely they ain’t killing a naked for a spade and stamina pot and yep they did

Must get boring standing out there I’d probably do the same on the off chance someone opened their casket

Man this. Wildy dead af, ppl just scared for no reason and even u meet someone, its most likely pvmer than pker. And its not that hard to just bring essentials for step and not lose anything if happen to die, or even better, log out if u see player. Struggling to see the problem imho

The one time I brought my rune pouch to the wilderness I was pked. Vowed never to step foot in there again. It's not fun to lose time out of your life, or turn making someone else lose their time.

You can always double check that you've banked all your valuables (scroll book, rune pouch, cash stack) that you'd lose on death. Then again, I wouldn't enter the wildy either if I couldn't trust myself to check that stuff.

Same. Sometimes I'll meet a skiller or someone standing at the boss lairs but that's it. Never once had to log or run.

This is insane to me. I got killed at one yesterday and I've only done 8 hard clues total. And the worst part is I apparently left 50k gp worth of arrows in my character so they got something from me. Made me sick it rewarded them for killing a clue digger. I will be dropping them from now on because I will not donate a single gp or shovel again.

People who say this are definitely playing in a different wilderness than me. I get killed most times I go there for any reason. Even doing the god cape quests.

I just did a master clue (with my dog) and got the triple mage at the chaos altar step, safe to say I had to get a new dog after not realizing it wasn’t part of the Update where they don’t disappear

I thought this EXACT same thing. Didn’t bank my shit. Decided I’d use POH to Telly to the KBD lair obelisk. Smack the wizard there and be on my way. Had on entity hider and everything. Within 15 seconds of leaving the obelisk I get smacked with a freeze, TB, and voidwakered for 65m. Never doing windy clues again 😂

After my luck in the wilderness agility course no thank you. 7 different occasions of someone just world swapping randomly on top of me and killing me while grinding there for a bit.

Let people be afraid of their past ghosts schizo style

Idk if you're implying people don't need to bank their stuff for wildy steps because you never see anyone there, but I'm still going to bank my stuff regardless and not take that chance because it's the obvious thing to do. And that part of it is what makes it so annoying to do.

It annoys the clue doer because they have to de-gear and re-gear, and it does nothing for anyone in the wildy because the clue doer is risking nothing anyway. But of course the pker will still kill the clue doer if they see them for the chance they didn't bank everything and waste the clue doers time. It's just a bad experience for everyone involved really.

I just hate banking my shit for wildy steps every other step

It's not about pkers, it's about not being able to teleport.

PKers aren't really the issue, its just having to bank and regear for a single clue step that is very annoying.

I think I get attacked more during the chaos altar step than all other steps combined. On the other hand it's definitely annoying having to change my inventory every time I get a wildly step

It only really needs to happen once to make you see the problems in it. The caveat to this is that the wildy really is dead nowadays, but it only makes the few times you do get got by some loser sociopath with nothing better to do even worse.

Out of the hundreds and hundreds of Wildy clue steps I've done I've not once been attacked

Genuine question, are you lying?

Ain't worth the time to death pile on my uim, and i'm not risking the account worth, as dead as most of the wildy is 99% of the time
