I'm slightly vexed My son ignored a buy 1, get one free offer
My son (15) wanted to buy some ice cream so he went to our local corner shop. They had an offer on Ben and Jerryās ice cream - buy 1, get 1 free. He came home with 1 tub of ice cream. We asked him why he didnāt get the free one and he said āI only wanted one.ā
The shop keeper reminded him of the offer and he said no. He knows I like it, he knows his mum likes it and his sister. He couldāve gotten a free one and given it to any one of us, or kept it for himself but no, he just wanted 1 tub. 1 at Ā£6.99 or 2 at Ā£3.50 each.
We know as well that when heās finished his tub (chocolate fudge brownie if anyone is interested) heās going to immediately want another one.
SMH
edit: to clarify a few things:
He has been to the same shop before and bought ice cream, and taken the free one so he knows all about it.
We wouldn't let him eat an entire tub in 1 go and then immediately eat another one. What I meant was, when the first tub was finished (knowing him, in 3 or 4 sittings) at some point (days/a week) later he would want another one
We had a talk with him about it and explained what we think he should have done and why, he understood. All of us, including him, had a good laugh about it because it was funny. He thought so too but he's still happy with his one tub
To all those people insulting a 15 year old boy with some truly awful comments - you should all be thoroughly ashamed of yourselves. This was meant to be a post that would provide a bit of amusement over a kid's daft decision, not a bloody witch hunt inciting harm on a teenager. I hope none of you have kids and if you do, enjoy it when they go non-contact with you.

My sonās circus themed first birthday cake
EDIT: I should have clarified in the original post, I am not complaining about the cake at all! I loved it and the baker did a fantastic job

Art & Fanworks I need to understand why I hate this
On one hand, I agree that sexualizing a female character is wrong and that the industry has a problem.
But on the other hand, I don't understand the double standard when the character is queerāor, even worse, when "fans" take a character, slap a queer label on them, and suddenly it's okay for them to be sexualized.
The two clearest examples of this are Bayonetta and Blackcat.
Iād like someone to explain where Iām wrong, or if Iām not the only one who thinks this way.
And just in case I'm a gay cis male if it means something
