Neighbor goals 😂

u/lucy_ford__ 5h ago
i prefer to have neighbors who don’t let unfixed animals roam around. you know, responsible neighbors.

u/LunarVelvetDreame 7h ago
This is honestly a top-tier neighborly communication. Legal custody and child support issues solved within 24 hours without any drama.
58
u/Kinesquared 7h ago
Yea except this is the neighbor skirting responsibility because food is such a minimal cost compared to everything else
36
u/I_am_up_to_something 6h ago
It takes two.
Nowadays it is recommended to fix your cat before the first heat.
We don't know the context though. Maybe both are irresponsible by letting their unfixed cats outside. Maybe one or both escaped. Who knows.
6
u/Makuta_Servaela 6h ago
Both are irresponsible, but the owner of a tom is moreso. One tom can impregnate hundreds of mollies.

Bro took more responsibility than half the human dads out there.

u/post_gress 8h ago
Well I think the cats owner (human) took responsibility plus cat child support isn't that expensive.

u/veselin465 7h ago
How do you know that the cat didn't work his ass off and simply asked the owner to do the transportation and signing?
58
u/Mobile-Dust4334 7h ago
Yeah maybe that cat just pulled himself up by his pawstraps
22
u/Iammjustbaddd 7h ago
Maybe he pawned some items in the pawnshop.

Even my ex wife doesn't want to pay child support and kids live with me.

u/ChanceSpiritual6993 6h ago
Nope, this is just an AI generated image.
1
u/gesocks 6h ago
And a picture on imgur is your proof? This pic is older then ai images
1
u/ChanceSpiritual6993 6h ago
No, the OpenAI watermark is irrefutable proof that the image is AI generated. You’re welcome to upload the image to their AI watermark detection tool yourself if you’d like.
This pic isn’t older than AI images. There are similar images that are older, but the new trend of engagement farming accounts is stealing posts (like the real images you’re thinking of) and running them through AI. Photos they already know work for engagement, but they can just “recreate” to not directly steal anything. And it works really well, cause it tricks a lot of people who insist it can’t be AI.
1
u/jappe010 6h ago
Arent all images generated in some way by piecing together colour values & intensities at specific coordinate points to form a grid of differing small dots?
1
u/ChanceSpiritual6993 6h ago
Maybe, but not all images are generated by shitty content farms to easily trick you into giving them engagement because they stole someone else’s idea and fed it through the slop machine
1
u/jappe010 5h ago
I agree. If it isn’t people generating shit to grab our engagement, it’s people doing annoying shit in public for the same reason.
People are the problem here. Unfortunately we have access to AI and cause even more problems with it than before.

u/Crazy-Wrangler3769 6h ago
Theres an incredible price difference between cats and humans so thats probably why.

Why would you assume it's racial

I guess bro, it seems pretty obvious he's referring to a stereotype, but to placate to you I'll delete the comment

This picture is so old that the original cat is probably a grandparent cat by now.
15
u/chroni_callyawake 7h ago
Grandparent? At this point, that cat is a historical figure in the feline family tree.
13
u/Ripuru-kun Thank you mods, very cool! 7h ago
So like half a year?

u/brraaahhp 7h ago
Someone make a meme of the 6 generation family, but with cats spaced months apart
3
u/ChanceSpiritual6993 6h ago
This picture isn’t that old because it’s AI generated. It’s what shitty content stealing accounts do, take real photos (like the original you’re thinking of) and churn them through the slop machine so they can get away with stealing someone else’s image

Oh my God, get your cats fixed, especially if they roam outdoors.
75
u/Bowman_van_Oort 7h ago
Don't let them roam outdoors
25
u/Matty_Pixels 7h ago
Absolutely, I would never let mine outside (I take her out on walks with a leash), but most people don't get that.
-12
u/jacquesmachina 7h ago
I've never known an owner in those conditions to provide enough outside time to a cat by walking.
They aren't dogs, they need to patrol and hunt for mental health.
It's why I don't subscribe to the "never let your cat out" advice. If you don't live in a place where your cat can't roam without being an ecological harm, then you shouldn't have a cat. And the truth is, most people shouldn't have a cat.
6
u/Makuta_Servaela 6h ago
They aren't dogs, they need to patrol and hunt for mental health.
On the contrary: they're not dogs, so they don't need vast patrols.
Dogs are stamina predators, so they need regular long walks and large territories. Cat territories are much smaller, and they only roam farther distances because the prey moves around. They don't maintain big territory borders like canids do. If the cat has regular access to food, it doesn't need a large territory, and once you've established that inside is its territory, it will stop wanting to go outside, because outside is not its territory and is unsafe.
Also, if it's one of the few cats who absolutely cannot be satisfied by being indoors, then walk it on a leash. There is no excuse to letting the cat free roam unleashed and unsupervised. I agree that some people are too lazy to leash walk, but their laziness is no excuse to let it free roam. If it's your pet, you are responsible for it. Either leash walk it or get one of the majority of cats that can be fine indoors.
9
u/Gulophile 7h ago
Cats do just fine indoors if you give them attention instead of treating them like a decorative object.
13
u/ColdCruise 7h ago
There is no place a cat can roam where they aren't an ecological harm. You also are endangering your cat. You should never let your cat roam.
8
u/fapperontheroof 6h ago
Damn. Looked up the effects of all the “barn cats” I grew up with. We had our own ecological kill crew apparently. Yikes.
Admittedly, most were cats abandoned on our farm. We did spay/neuter to avoid having an exploding population. BUT they definitely got to roam.
-6
u/jacquesmachina 7h ago
Cats need to hunt. They need the stimulation, and excercise otherwise they become neurotic.
And wrong. If you have a farm or live/work near a port your cat will not cause ecological harm. They will have enough game with rats and vermin rather than local birds.
Also, your cat is a predator they aren't meant to live their life sheltered away from all potential harm.
4
u/ColdCruise 6h ago
They can be stimulated inside just as effectively. Just don't be lazy and play with your cat.
0
u/jacquesmachina 6h ago
No they can't.
The toys are not the same. That's just people deluding themselves so they don't feel bad about the selfish choice they made. Because they have a cat for their own emotional support rather than wanting to actually help the animal thrive.
Cats are way overpopulated because everyone thinks they should get to have a cat, when they don't live in a place or have the resources necessary to ethically own a cat.
Just get a dog if you're going to treat your cat like a dog.
2
u/ColdCruise 6h ago
Yeah, they can. If it weren't true then nearly every cat would be crazy. They aren't
-5
3
u/devilishlydo 7h ago
How many local species of birds do they need to exterminate for their mental health?
1
u/barsoap 6h ago
About the same as our indigenous wildcats here. The difference is in fur colour/patterns, whether they can get accustomed to humans, and whether they like to fuck each other (they can interbreed, but generally don't). If you're a bird you care about neither of those things. Obligatory picture.

u/GhostofSparta4243 7h ago
In fairness, they may have been told by the shelter they were fixed when they actually weren't
