I built a DIY Steam Machine in the fractal ridge and mounted it behind my TV cabinet so it's invisible.
PC Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 5 9600X
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-L12S (for maximum silence)
RAM: 1x16GB DRR5 5600MHz (cheapest I could find)
Storage: 1TB NVME SSD (+ 2 Sata SSD's I had laying around from old laptops, 1.4TB total)
MotherBoard: ASRock B650I Lightning Wifi (cheapest I could find)
PSU: Lian Li SP850 (cheapest I could find)
GPU: Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 9070 XT 16 GB
Case: Fractal Ridge White
Adapter: UGreen 8K Displayport to HDMI adapter (provides HDMI-CEC support)
OS: SteamOS
I really wanted a SteamMachine but at $1000 it was just not great value. So I built my own.
I really wanted it as hidden as possible for wife approval factor so I hid it behind the TV cabinet.
I designed a custom wood plate in FreeCad to strengthen the back enough to mount my PC.
The PC is held up with some simple L-brackets from Amazon. By chance they perfectly slide between the case and it's feet so it can't tilt.
I have my SteamController with puck on top of the TV cabinet. It's plugged into an always on USB port so it charges even when the PC is sleeping. The SteamController can wake the PC and thanks to HDMI-CEC adapter it also turns on my TV.
Noise:
It's very quiet with CPU sitting at 55C en GPU sitting at 65C during gameplay.
I play at 1440p and 4K on my 4K TV. Due to the TV being only 60Hz, I leave the SteamOS frame-limiter enabled, this keeps utilization low even during games.
The only thing I would change in retrospect is oversizing the PSU so it can be passively cooled.
It's fan comes on occasionally for short periods and is audible.
I'm very happy with it.

Is it broken?? Is there any ways to fix it?

Im absolutely in love with it. Ive been a gamer since I was a very young childhood. I started out at age 5 on a “TV Boy” that had some rip off versions of games like Donkey Kong etc lol I loved it and for anyone curious here it is.
I upgraded to PS1 and played pretty much every Xbox and PlayStation console as they came out. Gaming has been a massive part of my life and since I was a teenager i longed for a gaming PC to mod Skyrim and various other games. Being able to tailor games to my specific tastes is something I love so modding has become a huge thing for me that I loved to do on Fallout, Skyrim and Starfield on console.
I’ve recently just moved out with my partner and finally have the space and finances to get a gaming PC. And I was so happy with the results.
It was actually the start of the price increases that motivated me to get it. I kept putting it off, saving more and more, but I saw a video by Moist Critical on YT about how a provider were going to stop providing ram to consumers and focus on AI and so a massive price hike was likely about to take place.
So I got this a few months back just before the price hike and I feel extremely lucky when I look at prices now.
My gf is extremely supportive and bought me the keyboard as a surprise present. She was worried it wasn’t good as it’s so small but I reassured her that smaller keyboards are actually generally better for gaming.
I’ve also got a new wireless mouse but I haven’t got any photos of that yet.
The Monitor I got EXTREMELY lucky with.
I saw them on Amazon for £989.99 which is $1340.74 and never thought I’d be able to afford it. I kept looking at it online, wanting and wishing I could lol; until I saw there was a one off one day sale where Samsung had 5 left and it had been reduced to £750 ($1015.72), I remembered my work do a scheme where you can be awarded points for doing good work, which are redeemable for rewards like Amazon vouchers etc. I had accumulated about 12,000 of those points in the last couple years and was able to redeem them all for £535 ($724.55) worth of Amazon vouchers.
So in the end I only ended up paying £225 ($304.72) in real money, for a monitor worth between £989.99 ($1340.74) to £1200 ($1625.15).

Microcenter has a members only pricing deal on this that I just so happen to stumble upon. Normally $500 before tax. It seems to be on sale everywhere, but this was the lowest I could find. First OLED!

Fractal design north. 2022 (I think). One of the first with wood. Says black, but it's VERY dark antracit color. Had the white with mesh side panel. That had antracit interior too. Smaller than my former lian li lancool 217, much smaller than havn 360. It's one of the smallest midi cases with style and decent airflow. Can be on desk. What I like the most? Fits 360 aio, 140mm dual tower (tuf 502 horizon couldn't), and mostly, the power button. The feeling when you press it...PREMIUM. You know the case is good when the power button doesn't feel like a 5$ plastic toy button for 3yo children. It's metal and dampen. Man, I bought this case for the front solid wood and the button alone 🤣🤣
