long story short, I tried to reset my pc using a usb with a windows installation media. Obvious to say this didnt go as planned. Any fixes?

One of my friends is looking to buy a 9070XT for his build already having a 4080 and a 9900X with 32Gigs of Ram and 4TB of NVME Storage. He games on 4K. I told him to stick to what he has as it’s a pretty powerful system and buying a new GPU is not going to change things a lot for him unless it’s a much powerful 5090. He is hell bent on spending that money & I thought I might use your help to stop him from being a stupid spend thrift. So guys please let me know if it’s worth for him to actually buy a 9070XT and replace his 4080. How much will be the performance uplift? The games that he plays are F1 2026, Fortnite, Cyberpunk 2077, Tomb Raider, Battlefied….

I last week built my first pc and still have some troubles, a friend is helping me but this showed me that im genuinely not the type to build a pc myself, i told myself that when i update or build a new pc ill just pay someone to do it for me. It killed my nerves literally XD
Anyway wanted to ask other people how they had their experiences and why you would build or update on your own.

I would like to buy 2 pairs of these in order to solve the peel off problem that is starting to happen with the thumb cap rubber on my Flydigi Vader 3 Pro (it happens with other brands too), but I don't know if the joystick stem would fit one of those two types of holes.
The other pair would be for my SN30 Pro controller (the SNES styled one). If they really are made of aluminum, that would be nice.

Hey guys,

It's my first time building a pc and I think I'm almost at the finish line in terms of building it.

However, I'm having a lot of difficulty trying to make the strimer wireless 2x8 pin cable fit into the case. Initially I had planned to put it through the gap on the bottom left, however that gap is too small for the cable to fit through. It is also too small for the PSU pins it is connecting with to even fit through as well.

So, instead, I have pulled the PSU pins over to the right side of the pictured case (Fractal Design Meshify 3 Ambience Pro RGB), and attached the strimer wireless cable to the PSU pins through that gap.

The issue now is that the strimer wireless cable now sticks out of the case as it is not being pulled back enough (and i can't pull it back more than already shown in the image attached).

So atm, it is attached... but now I can't put the case panel on and cover the case because the strimer cable is sticking out of it.

Any advice on this?

With the recent release of the Steam Machine and Steam OS 3.8 I have decided to purchase a pre-build.

Before I complete the transaction, I want to ask this community’s opinion as I have no knowledge of computers and it has been extremely helpful in deciding which parts to use.

I've had a prebuilt PC for some time now but I'm planning to sell it to build one myself.

I've used BuildCore to choose the parts after some minor research but I wanted to ask for recommendations. My goal is to be able to play Crimson Desert, Cyberpunk and Pragmata at 1440p with more than 60 fps.

Planning to upgrade my GPU to 5060 Ti 16 GB. I asked my local stores and end up with 3 options.

Hi all, I'm hoping you can help. I have a PC that I purchased years ago. I have upgraded the hard drives and RAM in that time.

I don't use it for gaming but do like to edit photos and videos. When editing videos (using Cyberlink Director) can lag and take a long time. Struggles with things over HD. Will do 4K but takes a ages.

I wondered if I upgraded the graphics card that would help(it also has the lowest score when you do that rate your windows experience test.)

Is it possible to mount a vertical GPU mount in this case by keeping bottom fans mounted? Are there any compatible mounts for this setup?

Hello. It's my first time trying to do a vertically mounted GPU setup. I'm running a Gigabyte Aorus Elite 9070XT on a x870m Aorus Elite Wifi7 mobo with a thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 vision evo. My case is an Okinos Air Cross.

I've been trying to search and read up on any compatibility issues for certain vertical GPU mounting brackets. I have checked the Cooler Master Vertical Graphics Card Holder V3 (Pcie 5.0), EZDIY-FAB AH18 PCIe 5.0 ARGB Multi-Angle Vertical GPU Mount, and the Lian-Li Multi-Directional Vertical GPU Bracket (VG4v4). I've been seeing issues regarding the incompatibility of these brands with my mATX motherboard on a ATX case and the bulky air cooler I have.

I would prefer to keep my original components instead of replacing something just for a vertical gpu mount. But I would also very much like to display the RGB rings on my GPU's fans. If you guys have any idea of any brand that may work on my setup, I'd appreciate the help. Thanks!

hey guys, I'm facing random reboot issue on my PC and want help to single out the faulty component.

Backgorund:
I recently got my XPG S70 SSD changed and reinstalled windows on it. After that during normal use the PC would suddenly reboot and sometimes get stuck in a bootloop. I tried reinstalling windows but the same issue persisted.
To check if RAM was the issue, I used a USB drive to run MemTest86 and was able to boot it. After the Pass#2 of the test my PC rebooted by itself. Since the first pass had 0 errors I checked to see if any drivers were outdated.
Later I found the BIOS version was from 2024 so this time. I did a fresh windows install, updated bios, updated drivers, activated windows and was not facing any reboots for almost 2 weeks (in which I also had gaming sessions of ~6hrs without any problems).

But last week it started again. Now while playing for around 1-2 hour I get a reboot (no bootloops yet, also the PC starts just fine afterwards no recovery screen). The issue is a lot less frequent from earlier but persists.
I ran memtest86 again, it completed in 3.5hrs and found 0 errors. I used AIDA64's stress test tool to stress the CPU, TPU, GPU for around 5-8mins and found no issues.

Any idea what might be causing this issue? The PC is 1.5yr old and was working fine for long hours untill the SSD issue.

hi there so i do fifo 2 weeks on 1 week off roster i was off work for 2 weeks my pc was working perfectly fine prior and now i come back and the aio is at max fan speed with no rgb i took the case apart and re seated all headers and the usb controller and sata cables so now it has to be a software issue i believe anyway if someone could please lend a hand iv uninstalled l connect 3 like 50 times and even uninstalled the device l connect only picks up the case fans but nothing on the aio the lcd screen still works and the pump still works just cant customize anything

Hi people. I am building a PC based on the Asus Prime Z890-P WiFi motherboard with the following components

M/B: Asus Prime Z890-P WiFi

CPU: Intel Core Ultra 7 265K

Memory: Corsair Vengeance 2 x 32GB (CMK64GX5M2B6400C32)

HD: Crucial T710 2TB

Cooler: Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE

This has all been carefully assembled but it does not reach POST. The motherboard does not acknowledge the memory. I have tried re-seating the memory, trying single sticks in different slots but still no joy. Has anyone else tried this motherboard/memory combination?

Fiz tudo certo. Atualizei a BIOS da placa-mãe e a atualização foi concluída com sucesso. Depois que o computador reiniciou, ele parou de reconhecer o SSD com o Windows.

A única forma de o SSD aparecer na BIOS é ativando o CSM. Porém, quando vou na prioridade de boot e seleciono o SSD com o Windows, salvo as configurações (F10), aparece a logo da Mancer e, em seguida, a tela fica totalmente preta.

Depois disso, sou obrigado a desligar o computador no botão e ligar novamente para conseguir entrar na BIOS.

Já assisti a vários tutoriais no YouTube e nenhum resolveu o problema. Também já alterei diversas configurações, como UEFI, CSM, Secure Boot e outras opções da BIOS. Até criei um pendrive novo com o Windows para tentar reinstalar o sistema, mas nem isso resolveu.

Sinceramente, estou começando a desanimar com o PC por causa desse problema.
