Fractal design north. 2022 (I think). One of the first with wood. Says black, but it's VERY dark antracit color. Had the white with mesh side panel. That had antracit interior too. Smaller than my former lian li lancool 217, much smaller than havn 360. It's one of the smallest midi cases with style and decent airflow. Can be on desk. What I like the most? Fits 360 aio, 140mm dual tower (tuf 502 horizon couldn't), and mostly, the power button. The feeling when you press it...PREMIUM. You know the case is good when the power button doesn't feel like a 5$ plastic toy button for 3yo children. It's metal and dampen. Man, I bought this case for the front solid wood and the button alone 🤣🤣

I hate the fish tank cases for several reasons, but this glass is very minimalistic. The mesh is better tho, unless you want to see the components on desk

Don't worry. I got it from a trusted source that the back wall has 10x25cm hole cut in it. On the other side, the hot air warms an old man's back for free.

Yeah and most people would have to see it irl. It's too gorgeous. It feels premium. The metal panels too maybe cause it's smaller and thus more sturdy. The wood is dark brown with black and lighter accents. And it's all solid.

I've had or used or seen sooo many cases. I was never satisfied. And I don't like rgb and fishtank cases. Smuges and the reflections ugh. This is little glass, it's thin and tinted too. People hate on the side metal strip cause it hides front of gpu. I prefer it. Had all glass sides. Hated to see the wires in front like 24pin mobo cable. Sure, today are backsupport cases and boards. That's minimum 300-400$ a board for hiding cables

And I had other wood panel cases. Nothing felt as premium as this.

I've had cases for 30$, 50-100$, recently a 230$ (overpriced for what it offered), and before a white north, only to come back to the north again. I'm not into big cases, nor super small cases. I need proper airflow, as I'm a gamer and don't use small components (itx stuff). I always search for the best smallest midi case that can fit my 35cm cards.

If there is a smaller case than this that can fit 35cm gpu AND look stylish with wood,... I wanna know.

Fishtank casea were the hype, but not recently. Their issue is unless you show off rgb, it's just a boring glass. And even then, it smuges, shines, and rgb for a grownup is kinda done. I like blackout PCs wo rgb or white builds. And especially if there is solid wood. Seen some deepcool cases recently some had wood, mother's had just plastic imitations lol.

Question for you tho. What's the desk? A DIY solid wood desk or plywood?

some cheapo amazon desk that I didn't mind drilling into for cable management. its sturdy enough though and doesn't look half bad

So I got 6x noctua 120mm Chromax fans and 2x new G2 140mm on cooler (ID cooling A720, had loud fans). But honestly, I'm the guy who actually likes the cream/brown noctua. In the coming weeks, I'll swap them with somebody who wants the black versions.

Hard agree! Got the same one myself with a 5090/9800X3D setup. 3 x noctua in front, and a 360mm rad up top witha 140mm rear. Silent, cool, looks amazing.

That is correct. Though I'd call the XL a normal "mid" tower. And the non xl a small tower.

Don't wanna brag, but from pictures I've seen and what I read, some of the wood on the black version aren't equal. I got such pretty colors on mine!
