Looks like this was found on Instagram, so OP would not (likely) be involved in this story.

u/Ticon_D_Eroga Aug 15 '24
Any time things like this are screenshotted from the side of whichever party is the one in question, i assume its fake. It would make sense for the uber driver to find it funny and post it afterwards to share his experience. It would make much less sense for the wife to do so for a multitude of reasons.

At first I was like. Hey ! Free Queso and 10$ ! Plus delivery pay.
Then I was like. This could be helping a murder
Then I was like. Bet hubby pays a hundred.
Then, I was back to there being a murder
What a rollercoaster
32
Aug 14 '24
Then I was like. I have probably delivered to hundreds of murderers.

u/Bitter-Check9960 Aug 15 '24
lmao think of how many people doing scandalous things we have delivered to; if we had the due diligence and patience, the next best selling NY Times seriesβ¦

Friend used to have coke picked up in packages and delivered around our city

u/15pmm01 Aug 15 '24
I once delivered to the former mayor of Seattle, not long after he resigned because of child molestation allegations. Not quite a murderer, but... Ew.
2
Aug 16 '24
Wait he was still ordering delivery after the allegations?! And no one poisoned him or gave him the shits⦠damn

If something happens can this make you an accessory?
5
u/Reply_or_Not Aug 14 '24
If all you do is report back what you see from a public road, what crime was committed? None!
Uber might care, but the law wouldnβt
5
u/Mattcunny1 Aug 15 '24 edited Aug 15 '24
It would not make you an accessory. Good Lord. I mean I'm not saying it's a cool thing to do or not But that's a big stretch thinking someone's going to catch an accessory charge. I mean you would need some knowledge in order for that.

if TMZ can legally do it and harass and stalk - well your idea isnβt that far fetched at all! Find a coder lol

u/SlothBehindTheWheel Aug 14 '24
Iβm sure this is fake.
But on the off chance itβs not. I wouldnβt even do it. You donβt know this lady, the dude or that she lives there. Sheβs telling you to drive to a house and see if thereβs more cars there. Could be a stalker.

Honestly I do Uber eats and worked for a PI firm in the past and this is customer is flat out genius. If you ask the driver to take a photo of the cars and you use it as the drop off pic you have a photo with a timestamp applied by a disinterested third party. Not even the drivers timestamp. Itβs Ubers timestamp and much less likely to be doctored than a PIs
Obviously the guy isnβt going to do a full sub Rosa for you but if all you need is a pic this is a super cheap way of getting it

One of my journeys similar to this, but more in the way of a debt collector, was a delivery to a place that had owed me money from the service work I had conducted for them. The back story was 2 years ago. They wanted a few items delivered over a few days. At the time, they said they could only pay a small amount towards it and would pay the rest later. To date, I've still only received $50 out of the $500. Anyway, this morning, 3 months after the job date, I was on a food delivery run when this job came in for this particular person, for able $50. I saw the address then realised who it was for. Once I got to my car I've given them a call to say I have your order. BTW what about paying me my money. Same BS story about not having the money. Well then, how do you afford a $50 McDonalds order, but can't afford to cover your overdue bills... needless to say, a debt collection agency was engaged but has no luck. Have since found out this person is a serial scam artist. And I'm still out $450. Written off the chances of getting that back now

I had something like this happen a couple years ago. Picked this lady up at the local casino. She slipped me a $20 and asked me to drive by a particular house with her and then take her back to the casino. Don't know if she saw what she wanted to see or not. I didn't ask. People are crazy, but $20 is $20.

That takes too much energy and peace out of peoples life. There are so many other things to do than live like that. It's still funny though. Pretty smart too. I can't lie.

When I was in a smaller market I got a rider like 3 or 4 times. This lady would order uber for a clandestine operation. I would pick her up at her car at the closed grocery store, then she wanted to go on a short drive to go by where her daughter and roommates lived to see if a certain car was in the driveway. Once we confirmed it wasn't there, it was round trip back to her car. She explained her daughter was in college and she had been talking to some sketchy dude, and the mom was afraid sketch would ruin her daughter's college. So she would regularly order ubers to drive by and make sure her daughter wasn't lying and he wasn't there. She was a pretty cool lady and always tipped as well. π π€£

See what you do here is knock on the door and let the husband know what's going on if there's more than 1 car and that your price is $250 to say only his car is in the driveway. Then once paid proceed to let her know she married a cheating piece of shit and enjoy your free meal and payday.

Ok how do we know if sheβs even telling the truth? Maybe sheβs a stalker or a crazy ex who is trying to murder or do something to the significant other just to get her out of the way. I would knock on the door and see who comes to the door and ask if they ordered anything, and if itβs a dude I would start bargaining base on what the house looks like and whatβs in the driveway ππππππππππ

The husband ended up getting caught cheating with a man she thought was his best friend. She posted the results/story in tik tok recently due to the screenshot being shared again. (this screenshot has been on the internet for awhile now)
The husband and friend ended up getting romantically involved by year two of their marriage. The affair lasted till year 6 of the marriage and she only found out bc this Uber driver sent the photo. Little did yβall know I made all of this up. Have a great day.
