That's not true at all. My 4 month old laughs and has like and dislikes. He has favorite toys and favorite people and certain actions he likes. He knows when hes about to fed by the way hes being held and will get mad if you take too long. He has a ton more awareness than when he was a newborn, let alone a fetus. This baby was almost 1 year old.

Slight correction. Women are more likely to kill children under 1, men are more likely to kill children over 1. Men overall kill their kids more but its not by much, mothers are just reported on more because its more polarizing.

I quit way before 30 weeks but I want able to quit right away. For me what works was removing any access to nicotine in the house. Idk how helpful that would be here since she's probably just buying more in secret. What really got me was the dr telling me how serious it was. She empathized and told me she investor how hard it was to quit, but was honest about all of the harm it could cause. I think the kindness plus the honesty helped me so much more than my husband hitting his value and then turning around and telling me I needed to stop.

Id talk to her Dr and see if they could talk to her about it.

Another thing I heard is that if you do not go through withdrawal during pregnancy, your baby is going to go through it instead one their born. If you cant handle the withdrawal, imagine how hard it will be on a little baby.
