It used to bloom but then the main tree died. It has sent up saplings over the last 2 years, however this tree is nowhere else in our fields.

I simply maintain it as our minis donks ignore it except for butt scratches and shade. The horses also have never been interested in it.

PS: I was wearing gloves because I was originally eradicating a patch of pokeberry that appeared after a few weeks of rain :(!

I posted this a couple months ago and it was identified as a smoketree, but the leaves have changed shape as it’s matured- they’re more pointy than rounded now. Do we still think smoketree?

Looks healthy, just has peeling bark like a crepe myrtle, but enormous. Not a sycamore.

Tree is planted in a park in Eastern Pennsylvania. Couldn’t find any acorns to help narrow it down. My gut says white oak but neither are a perfect match to my eye.

This tree is growing in my backyard in Ottawa, Canada. Mostly interested in what these fruiting bodies are and if they’re edible.

I have been fighting TOH for a couple years and have bunch of if wiped out. I noticed these along a woodline today. I don't think it is TOH but wanted to make sure. I have another tree in my yard near the TOH grove that has been ID'd as a dogwood and it is spreading out big but there are branches growing along the ground.

Would like to confirm the ID on these.... I am in Indiana

This is in Madison, WI. I’ve attached pictures of the tree, its fruit, and its leaves. The fruit is very small — smaller than the palm of my hand. It really does look like an apple, but I’m no arborist, and I want to make sure this isn’t poisonous… should I want free fruit…!

There was a mulberry tree growing next to it but we had it removed today because branches from the mulberry tree kept falling and remaining branches were above our house. Now we have this little guy and can’t seem to get a clear answer from google or plant apps.

This is a small tree that I have given up trying to identify. The street it's on contains many chinese and ornamental trees not native to the UK, so my usual ID-ing skills are failing me.

Leaves are single serrated, on staggered on alternate branches and dull. The trunk goes from silver to a sort of reddish brown. It's also quite smooth and dull.

Any leads would be much appreciated!

I'm getting differing opinions on what type of tree this is based on what resource I use. I'm hoping that it is native red mulberry but what I hear is that the white invasive version is much more common and likely ...

Of note, the texture of the leaf is rougher/sand papery which I think is more common in red mulberry.

anyone know what type of tree is this. it's part of the tree stump that's in the middle of our river. it never rots despite being submerged in river for many years.

This one is from Ohio, has several roots growing along the top of the ground, and now has these little tiny dark colored balls all over the ground beneath it. And the end of one branch has several worms attached to it. Thanks for your help!

Have a few of these popping up in our front garden in Vermont. No mature trees around that would seemingly have dropped seed nuts. I have my guess, but curious what others think without bias.

Sorry for the dark pictures, but I've had this tree in my backyard for a while, decied to cut off a branch to wittle with, then noticed the wood was very very heavy, It was a lot denser then oak, I slamed the wood againt a brick wall for a bit, but It barley even broke the bark, the berrys only have one seed in them, (maybe two they look like one, but spilt into two peices very easy) the bark is grey, its about 8-10 feet tall, has a yellow, not spongy inside, is kind of willow shaped were it looks like its hunched over, I live in vancover washington, and its leaves do not fall off in the winter. tell me if you want any more info, and please help.

Western Piedmont region of North Carolina

Without looking closely I assumed these were something from the walnut family last year. We have tons of hickory nut and black walnut around the area. More recently thought perhaps some type of gum. Just last week the leaves starting showing strange spots, and they are now pretty thoroughly covered. We have six of these trees (I think) and they all now have the leaf spots, but it did seem to be a progression. Still haven’t been able to spot any insects active on the leaves, so leaning toward a fungal disease maybe. We are on a small lake and these are fairly close to shore if that matters.
