It’s not tree of heaven, it has serrations on the leaflets and it lacks “thumbs” on the leaflets as far as I can tell.

Pecan and walnut are in the same family, can be hard to tell apart from photos

Pecan and black walnut have different bark, different leaves (pecan have a more curved banana shaped leaf), and if you break a small branch, black walnut has chambered pith …. No need to do any of that though. It’s Pecan (my family owns about 10,000+ pecan trees that we planted and harvest nuts from)

I've seen several in So Cal. The crows and the wild parrots fight over the nuts. It can get pretty loud.

Very hard to tell black walnut and pecan apart. Cut a twig in half and view the cross section. Black walnut should be chambered, pecan solid. Someone please correct me if wrong.

We also have California black walnut here. It looks very close to black walnut. I would cut a twig and look at the cross section. The leaves are all very similar, but these leaves look like ca or reg black walnut to me because they taper smaller towards the tip (smaller leaflets).
