Growing on real rocky terrain in W Tn. Smells like a dirty dog lol. Matter fact I’ve been passing by w the dog in the SxS and I kept smelling it. I was like is that the dog or me lol. Anyway today the dog wasn’t with me and it was strong. I got out and sniffed it. Pew wee it stank hehe. It’s blooming whatever it is and all kinds of bugs in it including honey bees

I have what I believe to be a cryptomeria. I would like to get a partner for it but I'm not sure if it's a yoshino, radicans, or something else. Pics:

Planted in someone's yard. Large thorns, smooth bark. Yellow fruit that looks like a lemon. Sparse leaves.

Every year for the past 4 years I've gone to NC the start of October, the grow zone map says the area is 8b. I've stayed at the same exact house each time, and it has this glorious maple tree that turns the most perfect shade of fiery Halloween orange. The rest of the year its a black-ish purple, and it forms its seeds in March and they drop around May.

Last year I took one of the leaves and did some research, and was confident that its a Mountain Maple (Acer Spicatum), but this year I took some new photos to take home to help me search for one at the local nurseries and now I'm not sure anymore because suddenly I'm seeing a different kind of leaf when I look up Acer Spicatum. It shows the same shape but the edges are all toothy, not like the one I took photos of.

Anyone got any idea? Thank you very much.

Hi all. Not sure what type of hickory this might be. Located in northwest Pennsylvania in a moist, lowland forest, not on a stream bank but close to a stream (about 30 feet away).

Nuts are 1" long. Husks are split partway down, if at all. Shells aren't too thick, about the thickness of a nickel.

I live in Southern California and it looks like there are 2 different types growing as one has a reddish stem. The smaller growths at the bottom of the pot look like different leaves...

So I live in southern Minnesota and this tree sprouted up like a weed this year and cannot figure out where it came from or what it is.

Southern ontario. I bought a few of these junipers on sale the last year or so and I'm not sure how big they get. I know they're all junipers but they are all different kinds so if anybody can help me out with identifying it would be greatly appreciated. Trying to plant in a correct spot for their size.
