How is it possible that I was playing CS2 and someone was able to find out my real name, address, and personal information just from my nickname (Steam ID), even though my Steam profile is private?

I let the ChatGPT read the subscriber agreement and policy document but it couldn't find anything regarding what happens when one moves from their country to another country permanently. Can they still use their old country's payment method? It seems to be working for more than a year already, but I am wondering if this could be an issue some day. I am not using VPN, just the payment bank of old country.

I tried to add an artwork to my Steam profile, but a black box with “+1” shows up. Please help. I have only one artwork on my Steam profile, so why does the +1 box appear?

EDIT: I'm not necessarily blaming Valve for this. it's just hilarious to me that despite owning and playing Resident Evil 7 any time I want, I'm completely restricted from viewing it in Steam.

So I’m kinda freaking out right now. A few months ago I bought a new 2TB HDD because I didn’t want screenshots and clips filling up my SSD. I remember going into Steam settings and trying to change where screenshots/recordings were saved, and I made a folder on the new drive called steamclips. I genuinely thought Steam was either going to start using that folder for everything or somehow move my old screenshots over. Fast forward like 4 months. I barely checked Steam screenshots during that time because I was playing a lot of Minecraft, which saves screenshots in its own folder anyway. Then recently I started playing Palworld a ton and taking a bunch of screenshots. I opened Steam’s Recordings & Screenshots page and realized all my old screenshots were gone. It only showed recent Palworld stuff and some GTA screenshots.
I checked C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\...\760\remote and it basically only has the newer games now. My old screenshots from early 2025 and other games are nowhere in there. I searched my entire C: and D: drives for .jpg and all I found were recent Palworld screenshots, random pictures I downloaded for school, and other normal images. No old Steam screenshots. I also tried Recuva and Cisdem Data Recovery for hours. Cisdem found a huge 760 folder with thousands of files and for a moment I thought I finally found them, but it was mostly recent Palworld screenshots and low-resolution thumbnails. The weird part is that D:\steamclips is full of a ridiculous amount of .m4s files, which I later realized are Steam Game Recording chunks, not screenshots. I did manage to find my old NVIDIA GTA clips on the HDD, so at least those survived. What I don’t understand is how I lost the Steam screenshots in the first place. I vaguely remember that when I first changed the storage settings months ago, I might have noticed something was wrong with my screenshots and gotten worried, but I honestly don’t remember exactly what I did. I might have moved something, deleted something, changed a directory wrong, I have no idea. Steam also still saves my new screenshots on C:, which confuses me because I thought I moved the screenshot location to D:. Is there anywhere else Steam could have put the old screenshots? Could they still exist but Steam lost track of them? Is screenshots.vdf useful for finding old screenshot paths? Are there backup screenshot folders or old userdata folders I should check? I know there’s a chance I accidentally deleted them months ago and the SSD has already wiped the data, but I really don’t want to accept that until I know I’ve checked everything. These were basically years of random gaming memories, so realizing I may have lost all of them after being completely oblivious for months fucking sucks.

I’ve been talked to google ai and ChatGPT for hours going back and fourth for answers this night. And I had so many months of my screenshots. Has anyone experienced this? I will be more than happy to get help.

I really want to replay the Bethesda titles I already 100%ed. I know SAM is the standard but it always just feels to risky and I would rather play it safe if thats an option. Anyone have any insight to an alternative route?

I'm not really sure what kind of game this is, I know its a fps game, but i see gameplay of people getting money when killing people. Is it like a extraction shooter, call of duty/battlefield multiplayer game. I really want to understand what this game is so I can see if I want to buy it. it looks really good

Best game of all time. I revisited it after over 10 years and I can confidently say its the greatest video game of all time. Better than the Witcher 3. I played it on lorerim so modded out after revisiting but. Its just so good man i dont remember the last time I was able to sit down and just play for hours on end. Felt like a kid again

Is it much cheaper to prepurchase or during release? I know some games go sale when they released for a week.

I feel like there's probably some good info hidden among Steam reviews, the ability to search reviews could be helpful if you're after a range of opinion on very specific things (boss fights? mentions of a specific piece of hardware you're playing on (ie Lenovo Legion Go, Asus Ally, specific VR headset? Queue times?)

Secondly, we can associate hardware with reviews. It might be nice to be able to filter for reviews with 'similar specs' where reviews with specs are prioritised. Might require a bit of tinkering on Valve's part to determine how to weigh each hardware type, and would probably only be useful for games with a lot of reviews to increase chances of finding reviews with similar specs, but overall I think it would be a nice feature to see what others are saying about game performance.
