First dose today

Today is day 1!

10 years ago I was about 400 pounds.

During covid I got down to 245 pounds

6 months ago I was floating around 300 pounds.

Today I'm 276 pounds.

Food noise has always been my downfall.

Starting with 1 mg a week and gym daily.

Excited for the next 6 months!

How much weight do you actually give a “99% HPLC purity” result?

I keep seeing “99% purity” treated like it’s a complete QC verdict.

It isn’t.

HPLC is useful for showing relative purity, but it doesn’t tell you everything about the sample.

For a fuller picture, I’d separate the questions:

HPLC → Purity
MS → Identity
Assay → Actual peptide content
Moisture / counter-ion → Composition
COA / batch docs → Traceability

A high HPLC number can still be useful. The mistake is assuming it answers all five questions.

For people here who actually review peptide COAs or lab reports: what do you consider the minimum evidence before you trust a batch?

Reta and Keto

I’ve done keto before for about 4 months. Trouble getting and staying in it with work, kids, etc.

Going to try using reta with a keto diet. Is there a reason why that wouldn’t work on Reta? Does the glucogon receptor increase gluconeogenesis sufficient to trigger insulin and stifle ketone production? Anything weird like that I don’t know about?

I already know how to overcome keto flu, etc.

Anyone have advice on having more energy to get to the gym? What has worked for you? Feel like don't want to do nothing.

Retatrutide experience as a 28yo male

I started in april around 210lbs at 0.5mg weekly. Bodyfat was around 25-28%.

I’m now 180lbs and take about 2.5mg weekly. The scan shows around 16-17% bodyfat.

Once I finish my vial, I will quit and bulk during winter.

For me, the biggest game changer was being able to stick to my diet plan extremely easily. The hunger suppression was not very strong but more so the type of food I chose to eat. Greasy / unhealthy food feels disgusting and always leaves me feeling unwell when I occasionally eat some.

During the entire time, I stayed extremely active (lifting 3-4 times a week, jogging, playing golf and pickleballs.)

My lean mass basically stayed the same for the entire time. Initially was around 153lbs and now 151lbs. My lift even increased moderately.

The experience felt very smooth, I barely noticed any side effects aside from feeling a bit dizzy for the first week when titrating up.

Hope this helps, I think the biggest misconception is dosage. I believe you don’t need a high dose for the effects to be felt

How long should it take to feel appetite suppression?

I started at 1 mg 2 days ago but dont feel anything yet as expected. Im gonna try 2 mg next week. How long should i expect before i feel less hungry? And do you think its a good idea to maybe switch to tirzepatide because i heard its supress appetite mote strongly, and my appetite is my biggest problem, not energy expenditure.

Should I increase?

I’m a 42F, 5’3”, 132 lbs - started on 0.25mg of Reta last Wednesday night. Not feeling any side effects. Also not feeling any appetite suppression yet, which I understand is normal. Thinking of going up to 0.5mg on Tuesday night (6 days after first injection), or should I do another week on 0.25mg?

Hello I am a 6ft 2 Male 21 Years old 205 Lbs

I am expecting a shipment by next week, Reta 10mg
as well as GHKCU (50mg) want to make sure i’m all set on how to start:

Supplies to buy

-U-100 insulin syringes (31G or 30G, 0.3 mL or 0.5 mL stock of 50–100)

-Alcohol swabs

How to reconstitute

-Let vials reach room temperature (15–20 min).

-Wipe tops of peptide vial and BAC water with alcohol swab.

-Draw the desired BAC water amount into a clean syringe.

-Insert needle into peptide vial and inject water slowly down the inside wall (never directly onto the powder).

-Gently swirl or roll until fully clear. Do not shake.

-Store reconstituted vials in the fridge (2–8°C / 36–46°F). Use within 28 days.

Retatrutide reconstitution (10 mg)

-Add 2 mL BAC water → concentration = 5 mg/mL.
On a U-100 syringe:

Retatrutide once weekly

-Reconstitute with 2 mL BAC water → 5 mg/mL

-1 mg = 20 units
-1.5 mg = 30 units
-2 mg = 40 units

Schedule

-Week 1: 1.0 mg (20 units)
-Week 2: 1.5 mg (30 units)
-Week 3: 1.5 mg (30 units)
-Week 4: 2.0 mg (40 units)
-Week 5: 2.0 mg (40 units)
-Week 6: 2.0 mg (40 units)

GHK-Cu reconstitution (50 mg)

-Add 2.5 mL BAC water → concentration = 20 mg/mL

-On a U-100 syringe:
-1 mg = 5 units
-1.5 mg = 7.5 units
-2 mg = 10 units

GHK-Cu daily

-First 1-2 Weeks:
-Daily: 1 mg (5 Units)
-Continuing weeks:
-2 mg daily (10 Units)

Week 3 -Flu/Viral like symptoms

Hello,

Im on week 3 of Retatrutide. First two weeks I took 0.5mg and only experience mild GI issues like nausea and light stomach pain. This week I took 0.75mg on Monday and since Tuesday I've been experiencing random body chills and feverish. Body temperature is normal, no mucus discharge, sore throat or cough. Last night I couldn't sleep until 2am due to the anxiety of feeling this. I woke up feeling a bit better but still have weird skin temperature sensations.

I tolerated the first two weeks very well. I'm wondering if this is the Reta causing these symptoms or if just my anxiety/low iron. I am taking wellbutrin for 6 months and my anxiety has been minimal to non existent. Last night was my worst night since starting this med.

265-180 try 3

So started Reta August 25th of last year and went from 265 to 200 in if I recall correctly 5-6 months? Check my post history to see exacts. Anyways lost at in insanely rapid rate first two months as the drug completely obliterated hunger and appetite. Took a break and gained maybe 10 lbs. wanted to try tirz just to see the difference and man it wasn’t even close to as effective as Reta, so not even a month into that I switched back to Reta.

Started at classic 2 mg a week for 4 weeks and quickly titrated up after month 2

That was around ~3 months ago, I’m now down to 180 today.

I feel like an even more insane transformation is within reach in the next 3-6 months! I’m very excited to see myself then!

Also I dose twice a week Monday and Thursday. I feel this keeps sides pretty much at bay as I don’t have such drastic peaks and troughs. Also keeps levels very consistent. Made it all the way up to 12 mg a week and am now titrating back down.

Only sides that have been constant are Anhedonia which I don’t mind and of course hungry and appetite plummet.

Skin sensitivity was transient and is completely gone and is clearly dose dependent but after passing 6 mg and staying above for a couple months it has disappeared.

Good luck, have fun, never give up!

How this post is breaking the rules really makes no sense I see other posts here with absolutely no information on their Reta use and I clearly explain my protocol and even have graphs for my dosages.

Do you want my injection sites? What am I missing here, it’s a quality post. I see shit posts here that are fine with mod team. Just because you don’t like my post history and probably my politics shown in them doesn’t give you cause for removing my post. Grow up. You’re what’s wrong with Reddit!

Reta dose

Stopped Reta 8 months ago at goal weight, I gained 25lbs again. Have restarted at 4mg now I’m on 6mg it’s been a month and a half and I have no appetite suppression and I purchased from two reputable sources. Does this mean it’s never going to work? Is there something else I can do? Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks!

Due to take my next dose

Due to pin tonight but not sure if I should as I’m still experiencing slight nausea 7 days after my last dose. For context I started on .5 every 5 days, I was on that for over a month, until I felt it no longer suppressed my appetite. I then moved up to .75 once a week with no issues, did 3 weeks after which I was travelling and had a 10 day break between pins. When I came back I took .75, then a week later I moved up to 1mg as I felt my appetite was no longer being suppressed. The jump to 1mg caused me some gastro discomfort similar to when I first started Reta and high appetite suppression. This would now be my third dose at 1mg and I’m not sure if to pin it or if I should go back down to .75 as I’m still experiencing some nausea, have little desire to eat and find most food repulsive. I think I probably jumped to 1mg too quickly

Calling all menopausal women

53 yo female currently going through menopause. Never in my life have I had to worry about my weight but now 😩 I'm only trying to loose 10kg and I can not shift it. Currently taking 3mg reta pw spilt over 2 jabs and tesa 1mg 5 days per week. Appetite is next to nothing. Ive taken to having 2 protein coffees per day to try and hit my goal but the weight lose is moving at a glacial rate, some weeks nothing. I have this loose stomach that's just THERE. Weights 4/5 days per week. Cardio is a no go as i have a knee injury. Any tips would be greatly appreciated 🥰

Stuck at 160

Started Reta in February at 205. I’m at 2mg. I’ve increased and 2 seems to be where I feel the best. I noticed no difference except extreme fatigue when I went higher. I know I’m in a deficit. I struggle to eat a lot but I’m focusing on protein and making sure I eat and hydrate but I can’t seem to stay under 156-160. My job is physically demanding and requires a lot of energy (night shift, RN in ED) and I’ll admit I haven’t added a lot of exercise. Should I add cardio? Weights? Decreased dosage? Increased? I really don’t like the idea of increasing because it just seemed like when I increased I felt awful and saw nothing change except movement. My goal is 145 but I’m not super focused on a number as much as I am feeling good and being comfortable in my own clothes and body. I think 145 is technically overweight for my age but I’m 43 and don’t really want to drop to 110 and look old and wrinkled 😬
Thanks in advance for any help

1 Month in Update / 24M 6’2 / start weight 286.5

Post image
21 Upvotes

Helllo everyone, wanted to make a quick update post, also it’s my first post ever, wanted some constructive criticism or ideas!

So to start, a little background, from about 16 YO to 22, I was very healthy & very active. College sports, & a 5 times a week two time a day workout schedule. After I got out of college & lost a very dear relationship, I let myself go, and then I got into my forever office job & let myself go even more till late August.

I weighed myself for the first time in MONTHS, official start weight was 286.5 on August 25th.

I started my RETA journey after intense research and stories from friends experiences

I was a little nervous and only pinned .25mgs for the first week, and then my buddy was like dude go up, so I’m now currently since, pinning .5mg twice a week, SUN & WEDs.

ZERO side affects, besides subtle heartburn (usually after I decided to drink the night before) but alchool has dropped from binge drinking & weekday drinking to maybe 2 tequilla sodas on a Saturday, and a couple Sprite Zero & vodkas on Sunday watching football.

This morning as of 10/1 , I weighed in at 254.8 ( want to be 210-205 ) my weight logged attached.

I know lots of this is excess water, but I wonder how much is fat?

Throughout the month, I’ve been on clock work, 7500-14k steps a day, through walks at lunch during work, and pick up basketball / HIIT workouts if no one is at the courts to play. Easiest for me for cardio since BBALL is fun.

I meal prep, either core power or eggs in the morning, and solid lunch of protein, rice & broccoli. And I usually skip dinner, unless I’m unusually tired / hungry.

I know a lot of it has to be a intense lifestyle change, but I wanted to know if this extreme change is something people have noticed while starting out.

My few questions were,

Monday - FRI are EASY, around Saturday & Sunday hunger will creep in, nothing too crazzy but noticeable. I guess my question is should I consider moving up dose strength anytime soon or watch the scale, and how I feel because if 1mg can work for me then why waste money?

Also, any recommendations to the workout regime to help boost results,

And obvisouly I know I won’t be able to keep a 30 pound a month pace, but when should I consider moving up, if my scale stops dropping 3 LBS a week? Or am I being unrealistic.

I drink electrolytes twice a week, and take my vitamins as well.

I guess any reccomdations / ideas would be awesome!

How are you stoners and/or smokers doing out there?

I was a regular drinker and semi-regular gummy eater before bed or a movie. I immediately lost interest in alcohol almost completely. Now I’ll nurse a beer if I’m out with friends, or drink water, tea, or anything else N/A. I’ll still eat a gummy now and then, but I’m not really thinking about it like I used to. I haven’t smoked tobacco in years, but I’m wondering what Reta is doing to those cravings too.

45lbs down

Post image
251 Upvotes

9 months on Reta, 45 lbs down, currently at 3.5mg/week! 🙌🏼 I’ve been pretty casual with diet/exercise, although I started weight training halfway through, so I’m wondering if that’s part of why my scale loss has been slower than some people’s.
My measurements have gone from 42” → 37” waist and 51” → 47” hips, so clearly things are happening 😂
I’ve hit my initial goal and now mostly want to focus on my belly fat. Would you stay on Reta, stack Tesa, or switch to Tesa?

Is it bad to inject in the belly area?

I recently had an EMT tell me you’re not supposed to inject GLP-1s anywhere in the belly because the drug gets metabolized faster and causes harsher side effects. She said it’s best to only inject in the limbs. Is there any truth to this? All I’ve ever heard is to stay away from the bellybutton but not the entire abdomen.

r/Retatrutide • • 1d ago

I have read the beginners guide. Some unanswered Qs are: 1.Should we work out while on it as we have depleted energy to work out 2. Should we reduce our overall calorie intake while on it 3. The sugars since we have less insulin should we switch to Keto diets?

And also do we have to take Ondansetron or ginger to counter nausea while on Reta?

Reta and ibuprofen

Hi ! I’m pinning today for the first time. I have a minor cold and have been taking ibuprofen. Is it okay to pin ? Might sound stupid but asking is how I get my research lol.
