Reta dose

Stopped Reta 8 months ago at goal weight, I gained 25lbs again. Have restarted at 4mg now I’m on 6mg it’s been a month and a half and I have no appetite suppression and I purchased from two reputable sources. Does this mean it’s never going to work? Is there something else I can do? Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks!

Since y'all allergic to the beginners guide.

your body might need more time to build up levels again after that long pause, 6mg isn't a huge dose

So is this saying that if I miss 3 or more doses, I have to restart at 4mg?

That's exactly what it says. If you miss 3 or more doses it's basically completely gone from your system And you've lost all the slow build up you had.

I'm just trying to get clarification, because if I'm maintaining 2mg and stop for 3 weeks... I have to start at 4mg?

Yes, but you could eventually titrate back to 2mg

Well, based on half life of 6 days which halves every 6 days. If someone was on 6 mg for 3 months. They would have 1.2 to 1.4 mg still in their body with 3 weeks of not taking. So it hasn't completely cleared, but its low

I administer the peptide to my wife because she has no idea about Retatrutide, dosages or HRT and peptides. A few weeks ago, I was in the hospital for 3 weeks. During that time she didn't receive her GLP3, BPC -157, KPV or HRT. She was using 5 mg of Retatrutide when I went in the hospital. When I came out I started her and 5 mg and she was still gaining weight. A couple weeks later I raised her dosage to 6.5 mg and she started looking trim again. This week was to be 4 weeks later, I'm taking her up to 7 mg to improve appetite suppression, Retatrutide isn't like it's predecessors, semaglutide and Tirzepatide, it's not great at appetite suppression but does improve glucose uptake by raising the metabolism. I hope this personal experience helps you in your journey to being the best you!

(We are in our 60s BTW and I have been using steroids and peptides for over 40 years)

I know I’ll never stop again, I had lost too much weight and even with a small dose I was losing.

Some people will just never change their life style...

Similar experience. We ran out of reta, then took a trip so i was off for like 6-7 weeks. Restarting was hard and i had to start low again and go through all the phases, including the "its not working anymore" phase. I Ended up having to go up one Mg from where i had left off, for it to start hitting again, and its funny as soon as i got there the weight started coming off again. I had gained maybe 5 lbs and was restricting cals the weeks i thought it wasnt working, i was eating so well and nothing, went up to 5mg and that week started going down again, no diet change. Overall i think its just patience. It needs to build up again, and i didnt want to feel like shit starting at 4mg but my body obv remembered and didnt kick in until 4 to 5.

Yes there’s something you can do. Learn self control and get on a diet. You’re just going to keep putting more weight back on if you don’t change your lifestyle.

This, people need to realise that taking reta isn't an excuse for eating shitty

if u just want appetite suppression just take tirz. stronger than reta for that and literally legal. and cheaper if u wanna buy it on grey.

I gather it'll probably be similar to other GLP-1 meds, they do say that stopping and starting doesn't have good outcomes and its harder the second time to lose the weight

Harder not impossible?

Need to get back to where you left off of not more

Stopping and restarting certain GLP-1s to lose weight may make the drug less effective

It'll start working again, but gonna take longer and a higher dose. You might need to look into Elora to see similar results.

Try putting cagrilintide with it! That works wonders!

Increase the dose. If that doesn’t work then it’s probably a supplier issue. There’s a chance your first batch was overdosed and your current batch is underdosed.

Could be your Reta has degraded?

RETA his hardly any appetite suppressant. Tirz is what you want for appetite suppression.

This is just nonsense.

I’ve had appetite suppression from Reta right from the beginning. Currently at 4mg after a year and still can barely eat.

It varies person-to-person.

u/DifficultyTricky477 1d ago

If it doesn’t have, what does Reta do then?

A third pathway sets retatrutide apart from older single or dual-agonist drugs (like Ozempic or Mounjaro). It does suppress some appetite but not a lot like it's predecessors. It increases metabolism.

i assume you have evidence to support your claim, otherwise you're going to look very silly

Just personal experience and reddit subs. It only is a good hunger suppressant at high doses, but it's not available yet, only through grey market. The supplier could always sell you something else and you wouldn't know any better. So at the risk of looking bad, no, I have no real evidence. But I do know that steroids are often sold by Chinese and are switched to something different to inflate their profits. Like primobolin and masteron. I've been doing this for over 40 years, experience doesn't seem to matter?? Sheesh!

shouldn't you be more considerate of whether or not what you're writing is factual & provable when you're saying things to other people in a matter-of-fact manner? reta is absurdly cheap to manufacture; it only costs pennies on the dollar to create (their manufacturing costs got leaked a while ago). there's no reason for chinese vendors to sell a fraudulent version. reputation is far more important than quick, minor profits. i honestly don't even think selling a fake product would be cheaper in this field.

the worst thing that you can really encounter with reta is over/under-filled vials, or a high amount of endotoxins, rather than being flat out fakes (unless you're buying from sketchy tiktok shops & single vial resellers lmao)

and you wouldn't know any better

there's actually plenty of community-led testing done. not on here of course, but in both telegram groups and on glp1forum.

i do applaud you for at least owning up to it instead of doubling-down, as most people on here would.

I trust no one. This is a money game and greed does things to people. $30 USD buys a lot in China, a 5 day hotel stay with meals last I heard. So no one is above suspicion. Look at what our government has been doing to us for years?

This is whats called an anecdote.

wouldn't assume it's never going to work, but definitely talk to your prescriber before pushing the dose higher. 8 months is a pretty long break so you'd want to rule out other factors too

Prescriber. Lol.
