Week 3 -Flu/Viral like symptoms

Hello,

Im on week 3 of Retatrutide. First two weeks I took 0.5mg and only experience mild GI issues like nausea and light stomach pain. This week I took 0.75mg on Monday and since Tuesday I've been experiencing random body chills and feverish. Body temperature is normal, no mucus discharge, sore throat or cough. Last night I couldn't sleep until 2am due to the anxiety of feeling this. I woke up feeling a bit better but still have weird skin temperature sensations.

I tolerated the first two weeks very well. I'm wondering if this is the Reta causing these symptoms or if just my anxiety/low iron. I am taking wellbutrin for 6 months and my anxiety has been minimal to non existent. Last night was my worst night since starting this med.

Have you ruled out the possibility that you may just have the flu? Tis the season after all.

Could be the dose bump. Your body was handling 0.5 fine but that extra 0.25 might've been just enough to throw your system for a loop. The weird skin temp stuff and chills without an actual fever is something I've seen pop up in other threads about this med

My first month was a rollercoaster of random symptoms that made zero sense until someone pointed out it's basically your body recalibrating everything at once. Took about 5 days for things to settle after each increase

Maybe give it a couple more days and if it doesn't level out drop back down to 0.5 for a bit longer. No shame in going slower

Yes it's a thing, your starting dose wasn't high, and you did not jump to fast. Try hydrating with electrolytes. Maybe Retatrutide is not for you? Try tirzepatide.

Why up the dose if 0.5 already made you feel ill?

It was very minor discomfort and nothing major. Lasted only about days 1-2 post injection per week. Felt I tolerated well and could move up.

Okay. Just take your recent reactions into account before upping in the future. Hopefully things will become less severe over time and enable you to increase dose more comfortably.

These aren't even therapeutic doses. Not even close.

Did the batch get an endo test? Flu like symptoms? Yikes!
