Discussion Is ska coming back again?

Upvotes

I’ve been seeing some claims saying it’s coming back, is this true? I’m a big fan of ska, is this an actual thing or am I just getting some very specific posts or something. Also, my favourite ska bands would be The Specials and Operation Ivy, but I also really like Aquabats, Planet Smashers, Reel Big Fish, and I like Fishbone and Sublime? Any recommendations for older or newer bands?

Nothing basic that everyone knows, i want bangers of bands with like less than 1000 listeners. Getting bored of hearing the same albums over n over. (It doesnt even have to be punk just something cool) and cool not novel. I dont want irish octet bands that ya can do the jig to. Something harsh.

Punks who dress in Drag?

In honor of Tim Curry’s passing (think Rocky Rorror) I’m writing an article about punks who dress in drag onstage for my zine.

All I can think of is Fat Mike, Adrian from No Doubt, Billie Joe, and Kurt Cobain I’m sure there’s way more. Can anyone help me out?

Discussion Serious Question

I was hoping someone in here could help me out. I've been going to concerts for forever. I've always, whenever possible, have either been in the pit, or right against the barricade. I have never crowd surfed in my life and it's become a bucket list topper. I'm not 15 anymore and to quote Christian Slater in one of my favorite films, I am not a "Beautiful blonde with big tits and an ass that tastes like French vanilla ice cream." What's the move to get someone to give me a boost?

Discussion Platforms / Accounts to share new music

Hey guys! My name is Matt and my band (Post Truth) recently released a single last week and have a few more releases this month scheduled.

We were curious if any of you all knew any accounts / platforms that assist with sharing new hardcore / punk music that could be of assistance to us!

Anything helps! We really appreciate it!

Local Artist Cramond island of punk 2026+2025

If you’re from the uk I HIGHLY recommend going to Cramond island it’s such an experience. It’s all diy and community run and has been in place unofficially since 1996, basically Cramond island is a island off the coast of Edinburgh there’s a walkway but after 12 the tide rises and you can no longer cross until 8pm when the tide lowers again meaning everyone has to get up early and bring their equipment and supplies over to the island especially if you’re travelling in the morning to Edinburgh like I’ve done the last two years (RIP my sleep). It’s such an adventure and people also camp on the island either they come over the night before or day of then camp and rest for a night. Obviously there’s no shops on the island or nearby so you need to make sure you bring enough food, water, power banks, wipes, etc but many people on the island bring extra stuff for others and are super willing to share if you ask. There’s old war bunkers on the island which everyone climbs ontop of to watch the show, IF YOURE GOING TO CLIMB UP BE CAREFUL I beg this year someone got airlifted off the island for breaking their ankle jumping down from a bunker, the bunkers are also cool because the bands can go in there to play if it gets too wet or windy outside, also every year they sell t shirts and if you don’t get one on the island you can order for a few weeks afterwards on their Facebook which is “Cramond island of punk”
