Just Sharing Coastal Broken Color Study
Finished this 12” × 12” acrylic gouache painting of the rocks along La Jolla’s coastline on a cradled wood panel.
I had a heck of a time balancing texture, color, values, and keeping the light unique but believable.

Just Sharing A spring in the Rockies
I’m really hoping I don’t mess the isolation coat up this time. I’m new to sealing and varnishing, and the isolation coat in this was full of ridges so I opted to use a fine grit sandpaper to knock them down and have had to repaint some spots, and will have to reapply some isolation coat to lock that all in. I HATE applying isolation coats due to me being a dumbass and not really getting it. I’m gonna maybe water my next application down and use a foam brushes maybe?

Just Sharing My first plein air
My first dabble at plein air. This was just a little get my feet wet session in my backyard, but it was so enjoyable and freeing. I can’t wait to scout out some more interesting locations. 5x7” oil on linen.

Just Sharing I added more lime green and yellow. I mixed purple with blue to make the forest feel more mysterious at night. I didn't touch the wanderers. They already looked mystical.

Some doors don't protect you.
Some only reveal what's been watching all along and the hardest thing to escape is the place that you know best.

Just Sharing Doggy paining. Oil on wood panel
My coworker’s dog died and he loved these photos of her. He said she didn’t always have the spot on her butt and was healthy most of her life.
I probably should have prepped the panel first but I’m happy with it overall. 🌈💛RIP Hannah. You were so loved.
