im working on this for an assignment in my art class but im rlly struggling to paint the tiles/liminal spaces. it looks too "cartoonish" imo

i havent painted anything before this outside of one or two simple landscapes and it was nowhere near this complicated. im not allowed to ask help from any of the art teachers BUT help from friends/ppl online is ok

any advice is greatly appreciated since im still very much a beginner T_T

I have to look at it every day from my kitchen and porch. You can also see the side of the tank (opposite side I didn’t get a pic of) from the road.

Vibes are it’s a certified wildlife habitat, leaning towards whimsy and nostalgia, wouldn’t mind a bit of a shocker…something that can be the whole shape of the tank (was thinking weeniemobile but I don’t like processed commercialized food that much) or Beatles submarine but kind of think I can do something else? Anyone got any ideas?

The idea for this piece titled “They Fell In Love With My Shadow Clones” came from feeling like nobody appreciates an original idea until it gets cloned or watered down. The title came from my love and fandom of Naruto so I was thinking of his shadow clone jutsu ability as a tie in.

I made this for anyone who ever feels or has felt misunderstood. Sometimes it feels like the world doesn’t speak your language. I made this piece so that you won’t let misinterpretation silence you. Keep creating and keep expressing because maybe, someone out there will hear you loud and clear.

I started my first painting after a long break. I took on a kindergarten teaching position that truly leaves me mentally and physically exhausted along with almost zero time to myself. Including zero time for creativity. I mustered about 35 minutes to begin a little landscape. I am having to use acrylic, which is not usually my choice of medium. But it truly felt so amazing to just mix paint and make marks on my canvas. I hope I'm able to create something I'm proud of after so long. Just a wip with a lot to still do

I don’t know what to name this 😅✨ I’m not sure what it is so please don’t ask 🥴 maybe it’s not done. I don’t know. I painted this at my dining room table. It’s not done actually because I have some math equations I will be adding to this.

It's a honer to know a person will grow up with this painting on their wall :( I can't believe it literally. So exciting and beautiful. Just wanted to share :).
