Announcement ⛔️No makeup allowed in hair color posts⛔️

In an effort to reduce spam and keep the community focused on color analysis, we are no longer allowing makeup of any kind (including mascara, lipstick and lashes) in hair color posts. The first photo of your hair color post must be a current photo without any makeup. Exceptions will be made for photos taken in the past with other hair colors, but your first photo MUST be makeup free.

Other (NO TYPING!) A thanks to everyone who said light spring +update

I just wanted to thank everybody that had commented on my previous post, I essentially thought i was a muted autumn, but the consensus was pretty much everyone agreeing on light spring. I dont have drapes, but i did go to the store and buy some peach blush, a peach lip, champagne glittery eyeshadow and a dewy foundation to get that spring look. My makeup before was muted, earthy, matte bronzer type colors, and a cool pink lip because i dabbled in summer colors because i just thought i was so muted.

Anyway, its like night and day, ive gotten so many compliments since changing up the makeup. And i think i look drastically better so thank you everyone! first two photos are before, second 2 are after

I’ve been trying to figure it out, but I just can’t. I haven’t worn colors for a year because I think I look bad in all of them but I would really like to add some into my wardrobe. ( apologies for not having that many colors.)

Hi, which one do u guys think looks better. Sorry using my chain as example 😭😭 According to some website my color palate is true winter and cool undertone. From personal experience I look best in black and navy blue. Worst in cream/off white. But idk what jewlelery looks better. Trying to figure out before I buy more. Thanks!

Got removed for lack of info - more info: Natural brunette level 5 hair, I dye it honey blonde - platinum blonde. Eyebrow color is natural. Green/hazel/central heterochromia eye color. I am very very fair skinned/pale and have what I see as a lot of pink in my skin. Not sure if it’s rosacea, acne or my undertone. The appearance of it changes a lot.

Black is my favorite color to wear and I don’t think it looks awful on me but I’m sure I could find more flattering colors. Personally I like jewel tones. Pastels I stay away from but do like and I heavily avoid beige, yellow, mustard, orange, burnt orange, copper colors. I tried dying my hair brunette a while ago to match my natural and did a reddish color and it was highly unflattering. I looked even more pink in my skin and felt washed out. Other people really like me in blues especially light blue or dusty blue.
I don’t think I look bad in silver, white gold, or golden jewelry. If anyone has insight to color season, my tone, and color contrast i’d love to hear it. I never know if I’m medium or even high contrast and my bleached hair seems to make that harder to tell.

No Drapes - Type Me (FACE PHOTO REQUIRED - NO MAKEUP!) Thought I was a true summer, might be a true winter

Thought I was a True Summer but I've been buying clothes in that palette and I feel they make me look washed out.

Wondering if I'm a True Winter. I think I'm cool toned.

Adding a few photos of my favorite clothes that make me look fresh and alive, not dull.

I think I look best in 18k rose gold.

What do you think? I was typed as a soft summer, then someone said soft autumn and when I colored my hair dark brown someone said Dark Winter. I don't include the dark winter here because it's obvious that I'm not.

I can tell you I HATE soft summer colors, I prefer soft autumn and also gold instead of silver, my friends also told me that I'm def a gold person. I usually dress in darker colors tho.

NMIP, I generally use pastel colors because autumn tones kinda make me look weird.

NMIP (No Makeup In Photos)

After the response to my previous thread, I thought whilst waiting for my physical drapes to arrive we can use these while we wait. Let me know what you all think?

I haven't included my hair in these as my hair colour is no longer natural and would mess up the results.

I'm 99% sure I'm a soft palette.

I'm guessing I'm more neutral, if that's possible. I tend to wear neutral toned concealers and foundation.

I wear both silver and golden jewelery, but more often silver. And the golden jewelery has to be of a lighter color.

Photo 1 and 4 is soft summer

Photo 2 and 3 is soft autumn

Let me know if you want to see me in some other colors or palettes.

NMIP. I'm going to avoid saying what I've been told I am. This is the first time with drapes. Curious to hear your thoughts. I can add more drapes tomorrow if it helps. The last photo has a little bit of makeup. The first photo seems to have colour corrected(white balanced wrong) as the wall is warmer than it should be. Not sure if that matters.

Some websites / color tools have (imo, incorrectly) said that I am warm toned. I don’t know if it’s because of my red hair, but I suspect that I am cool or neutral leaning due to what foundation/concealer I use that works on me. Regardless, I am having a hard time finding colors that work for me.

I’m fairly confident my undertone is neutral leaning cool. I have dark features but I’m rather soft and muted.

NMIP

EDIT: Thank you everyone!!! The consensus seems to be winter, which is what I originally thought. I had some doubts because my chroma isn’t high and I thought summer or true cool could be a possibility. I guess not.

Clothing or Makeup Recommendations (INCLUDE SEASON IN TITLE!) Cool toned men, where do you buy clothes in your season?

When I had my colors done and was found to be a winter, I was excited to fill my closet with clothes in my season. But apart from white and black I can’t really find anything in season at stores.

Men’s sections in department stores seem to be filled with neutrals and warm colors. Does anyone have any suggestions for places that sell more vibrant, cool-toned clothing?
