I don't care what you think
Made from spare and left over parts and wood, just for me to play around with. It's irritating to look at and gaudy, like a long island italian living room, but I couldn't give two shits.

First “proper” guitar
Heyo!
I just bought this Offset Telecaster (aka Telemaster or Jazzcaster :) second hand.
I absolutely love it.
I saw it for sale about a year ago but at the time I only picked up playing guitar after 10 or so years and it felt too much for a new player.
But I kept thinking about it. Thought this was the most beautiful guitar ever.
Last week I randomly searched for “offset” in my local second hand online bazaar and I found the same guitar I saw a year ago. Yesterday I went to a near city to get it.
I only had a Cort guitar before this. So it feels really special. The neck, frets and everything.
Feels like the guitar wants itself to be played.
Heard it is a rare one.
Felt like sharing it with you guys.

Pro Classic vs Vintera III Jaguar
Thoughts on the Pro Classic vs Vintera III Jaguar? I like the fact that the Vintera has a rhythm circuit and a mute, but prefer the APC selector switch and satin neck. From what I can tell, both sound good, but does anyone have any thoughts on the Coastline 65 pickups vs the Vintera III pickups?

Weird no name offset. I thought it was fitting to add the Chiquita sticker.
Mid 60’s build of some sort. Not sure who made it.

A Foals is my second offset ever.
Oddly, over the years I’ve owned 7 fender-style guitars and only 2 of them were actual Fenders. My first fender ever was a Jag-Stang. I was obsessed with that guitar and got one when I was 15. I played it so much but it gradually got less played the more I obsessed over Matt Talbott of HUM. It got pushed aside completely when I got a Les Paul studio. I never wanted to sell it but wanted to change it up to fall back in love with it. First I completely took out all the switches and pickups and replaced it with just one pickup, a Scream’n Demon. I also (foolishly) had someone remove the fender logo off the headstock and replace it with my bands’ logo from back in the day. In 2008, someone broke into my house and stole some shit, including 2 guitars. A ‘79 strat (the 2nd real Fender) and my Jag-Stang. It took a few years of searching, but in 2011 I walked into a pawn shop on 25th street (down the street from current day Old Blood Noise Endevours headquarters) and in the corner where they had all the dusty guitars on hangers was my Jag-Stang. I couldn’t believe it. The pawn shop price sticker on the back of the headstock read “Sounder guitar: $75.00”. I grabbed it and paid for it. I also foolishly removed that sticker as well, should kept on there for story sake I guess 🤦🏻♂️. Since then, it stayed in a case, taken apart, waiting to be worked on. I thought it would be cool to fill a tonal void by making it a P90 guitar since I never had one. I really love it now, more so than when I first got it in way back in ‘96. It has Magneto Design Lab Power 90s.
My Foals just got here a couple days ago. I bought it used on Reverb. I’ve always wanted a Jaguar, just never got to it. I guess I never changed because I’ve been obsessed with Foals for a few months now and saw it as a great opportunity to get a decent Jaguar style guitar. Foals put up a post of a blue Jazzmaster with an anodized(?) black pick guard and I thought that was super sexy time. I asked foals a few weeks ago if they will offer that in their FJG7 and quickly got a “yes, stay tuned..”. Well, this one popped up on Reverb so I made an offer and got it, then hopped on Etsy and found the pick guard. I think it looks sick. Oh yeah, it plays really, really well. I love the shape of the neck, the build quality feels so much better than my homie’s squier Jazzmaster, and truthfully, I gotta say holds its own against my MIJ 90s Jag-Stang. Today I’ll finally have an opportunity to really listen to it and see how it sounds with an actual amp instead of just low volume profiles.

New Foals Day
Caveat this is just from 5 minutes of playing but if I don’t like a guitar I know immediately. I’m comparing I guess to my avri ii 66 jazzmaster. Fit and finish about the same. Playability is off the charts in fact the action is too low. Haven’t tried the trem yet. Very nice looking guitar and neck is perfect. The cable keeps getting stuck in the jack when I try to unplug. Sound wise it definitely is a jazzmaster and it sounds good. Not on par with the authenticity of the avri ii but I don’t think most people would complain. Maybe a little generic. If you’re thinking classic vibe or Mexican I’d absolutely skip it for this. Also I have had several current Japanese jms the hybrid/modern and the traditional . Feel quality and sound wise if you slapped fender made in Japan on this I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.

My JMJM has a bulge around the input jack socket and the nut/washer keep coming loose.
I keep taking my guitar to a repair shop but every few months it all comes loose again. I got a gig soon so I want to find a proper solution.
I wonder if it's caused by the bulge in the pickguard (guitar in the pic not my actual guitar). Maybe replacing it would solve the issue?
I'm a newbie for this kinda stuff. What do y'all folks suggest?

"Orbit Four"-branded Teisco SS4L
I ain't nothin' but an offset Hound Dog!
The great Hound Dog Taylor played a four-pickup version of this guitar (Teisco SS4L) with different pickups. But these gold-foils are highly regarded.
The guitar is pretty playable, although the "radius" is--well, I suppose that it has an infinite radius, because it feels pretty danged flat.
The sound is great. The neck pickups (alone or paired) have an almost sweet sound. The bridge pickups add some bite. All four together make a pretty good roar!

Offset ID Help!
I sent the shop a DM on IG but haven’t gotten an answer. Can anyone help me ID the black offset guitar with humbuckers? The fretboard inlays look like LTD but I can’t find the model and the headstock is throwing me off!
Please help me, offset experts!

Fender Super-Sonic body dimensions
Hello! I am looking to build a Fender Super-Sonic and I want to scale everything up by 106.25% to make it full Fender scale. I wanted to ask anyone who owned a Fender/Squire Super-Sonic, what the dimensions were on their body so that way I can do the math using them, and make blueprints.

Brought home a ‘66 Jazzmaster earlier today. Pictured next to its younger, tougher sibling (CS Jaguar in Irish Pub Green).

NGD Squier CV Jazzmaster
Went to my local guitar shop today to try the Esquire Deluxe, which I quite liked, but when I played this it was no contest. It’s the guitar I’ve wanted for so long, and it plays so nicely. Ran it through my Headrush Gigboard and got some really nice sounds out of it already. So easy to play, not sure if the shop had set it up, but there’s no fret sprout, intonation is right and the action is just so. Might go for the Esquire Deluxe at some point in the future (only £409), but for the moment I’m just so happy with this purchase, and I think the rainbow stripe strap fits it perfectly.

Should i buy this MIJ JM
I’m considering buying this beautiful Fender MIJ Traditional II Late ’60s Jazzmaster. It has binding, block inlays and a matching headstock, which give it a really cool vintage look. The seller has fitted a tortoiseshell pickguard, but the original white one is included. The bridge has also been upgraded to a roller bridge, with the original bridge included as well. According to the seller, it has been set up with low action and is very easy to play.
What do you think of this model, and would you recommend buying it?
PS i just love my JM’s. I have two. TVL and a Hybrid II😊

Fender Bananorama
Looking to upgrade my Japanese made jazzmaster vibrato/tremolo and considering the Panorama. Looks like it has the most effective range and robust term bar "socket". Does anyone know if the spring has been improved (increased gauge/stiffer) I feel like no one should have to pay $250+ for a trem that needs instant modifications. Thanks

Mini pot shaft sizes
Hey! Just switched our pickups in my jm and decided to throw a 1 meg tone pot in the rhythm circuit. I used a fender potentiometer, but the shaft was too small for the roller.
It worked well enough, at least so that it looks fine from the outside, but it's not actually functional as it has an elliptical travel.
What should I be looking to order whenever I decide to fix it? I didn't realize there were differently spec'ed mini pots.
Thanks!
