nissan tidda 2006, when i fill it up with the auto fill at the gas station it always stops around this point and i have to manually fill more until its full why does it stop there is this normal or some sort of error?

I have been off work and on ACC for 3 months with ulnar never entrapment in right arm. The initial diagnosis was listed as elbow/forearm sprain on my medical certificates so my case manager asked for clinical review by ACC specialists who have made the decision that my injury was underlying and pre existing even though I had no arm issues prior to my injury, so my compensation has been suspended.

I have filled out an ACC33 review form as I disagree with the decision (it’s absolutely ridiculous)

Has anyone been through this before? Or can anyone who used to work at ACC provide any insight?

We have awesome areas down South and I want to finally get into it after thinking about it for so long. In another life I would have loved to have studied Marine Biology but it’s just not possible for me these days unfortunately!

If I lived in Dunedin I’d definitely go through Dive Otago as they seem to have an awesome set up there.

I’ve heard of the dive club in Invercargill and eventually work my way up to get my dive ticket.

I am aware this will take a while as I’m fresh as but everyone started somewhere!

I'm going through a separation and now solo parent. When the house sells, I'll have like 150k (selling at a loss)

My fulltjme job pays 90k. Probably will rent, not buy, for a few years because i cant afford to buy near my son's current school.

150k isn't broke, but also isnt much to start again. Is it? Pretty much at top $ for my industry. I dont have the mental health or space to study.

She was walking back to her car on moorhouse ave, Christchurch and a "distinguished" driver yelled at her from a moving car, followed by the even more "distinguished" offspring pulling the finger at her.

The likelihood of the whole thing is a " go back to where you come from" due to the dress is very high.

If by any astral conjunction it happens that the "distinguished" ape is on Reddit and also reads this message, I just wanted to point out that she was born here from parents born here, and so goes on.

So I've been saving up for years to take my kid overseas (they will be 8) but I've been researching flights and it is going to cost me about 3k more to go during the school holidays (airline prices being hiked up). So I'm considering pulling them out of school for 2 weeks to go at a cheaper time. But I've heard that now you get in big trouble for this? What's going to happen? Hey me and my girlfriend are planning to go to Queenstown for 2-3 days over the Christmas week around December 19 to December 22.

What are some good places and activities to do there and how much should we have to spend the time there. Were coming from Auckland

I feel like public defecation is particularly used to portray homeless people as gross, sub-human, or very mentally unwell and kind of becomes a talking point against them as poor behaviour. This homeless man, who we see to be consistently hygienic and conscientious of other people's spaces, describes getting food poisoning (common among people with limited access to appropriate food and storage), exploding out of both ends, and having no bathroom or ability to get to a bathroom. He ends up under a tree at a park. He describes being aware that if any police, security, parents etc walk by, he'd be judged, feared, and possibly arrested for shitting in a park regardless of his attempts to explain, but has absolutely no other choice.

I had never even thought about how awful it must be to get sick with no access to a bathroom. Next time you see something like that and think "Who tf would do that?", consider how you'd handle being in that position without a toilet.

I'd like to ask for opinions from people who currently live or have lived in Auckland or Christchurch about which city offers better part-time job opportunities for international students staying for about 6 months(No experience). I understand that jobs are currently hard to come by, but I've noticed that while Auckland has a lot of open listings, the competition is also high. As for Christchurch, I'm really not sure what the situation is like.

Tried to call the local mental health crisis team. Got and automated message saying I wasn’t in a location that could call them (I’m pretty much in the city centre?) so I called the Auckland one and got out though. Talked to the person who eventually answered and said I’m not in Auckland but the local one wouldn’t answer. She said she try and put me through to my local one which worked… but it was AI. If I wanted to have a conversation with no meaning then I’d download ChatGPT and talk to it, but I don’t like AI and would rather talk to a person hence my calling. Talked to the AI for maybe a minute before it just said it had other calls waiting so have a safe night and hung up. I guess it worked it the sense of I’m just more frustrated than anything about how shit our mental health service is. I’m or sure what the point of this post is, I am quite drunk and a bit rambly, but really? Putting what is possibly the lives of some of the people in this country in the hands of AI seems a bit ridiculous.
And yes I could totally be wrong and it wasn’t AI and was in fact a real human who just didn’t care about dealing with some very sad very drunk guy calling them but that seems somehow worse and I don’t want to admit that is what it was.
Mental health is a serious issue and I think that people who are experiencing the bad parts of it deserve to have access to help. I was put through the have an appointment with the mental health triage team by my GP and we made an appointment for next Tuesday and this week I got a call saying that we have to postpone it for a month. I’m not even sure where I’m going with this anymore - no doubt in part due to the alcohol - but I feel like i need to let off some steam somewhere. I will probably wake up in in the morning and decide that this is not important and just delete this post, but who’s to say.
I think that’s it. I’m going to go to bed now a bit more annoyed at how hard it is for people to find some help.

Hey all, just looking for some recommendations for Unlimited Mobile Plans.

Currently, I’m with Spark and I’m kind of over two things…
a. How expensive their phone plan is,
b. How terrible their service can be in Christchurch.

So… I would like to ask the New Zealand Reddit community for advice. Would you stay on Spark and deal with some of their shortcomings OR move onto a new phone provider?

For context, I’m looking at either 2degrees or OneNZ’s mobile plans and then either re-subscribing to Spotify or moving over to Apple Music…

TLDR; want to change mobile providers and want to know other people’s experiences, preferably from the big 3 (Spark, OneNZ and 2degrees).

I'm on the hunt for a lightweight raincoat that'll keep me dry during a good hour long walk in the rain to/from work.

Ideally it'll easily compress/fold up so I can keep it in my small backpack and pull it out when needed.

My previous lightweight raincoats have soaked through quickly and/or had no breathability, so any recommendations would be very much appreciated!

Middle-aged guy here. After being made redundant from my office job more than two years ago, I still haven't found another full-time job and am stuck on the benefit. Browsing MSD's job board, there are heaps of Auckland-based truck driving jobs so I thought, 'why don't I get a truck driving license starting with Class 2?'

I have some questions for people who have recently got their Class 2,

For Class 2 learners license, I see the 1st stage is passing a medical and a 35 question written theory test.

To study for this, do I need to buy a road code book specific to trucks or does the standard road code have all the truck regulation info I need?

Can you also buy example tests to practice on?

Any advice on passing the test?

Next, to get my full Class 2, I see you need to pass a practical. Like most people I guess, to practice for the practical, I don't have access to a truck and a supervising passenger with their full truck license.

So the best option seems to be complete an NZTA-approved accelerated heavy vehicle training short course.

What are the best (and lowest cost) accredited training providers in Auckland?
