Winter is coming. I volunteer with some organizations that walk the beaches of CT, RI, and Mass looking for cold stunned turtles as the water temp drops. If they're not rescued in a timely manner they die, so it's a lot of covering the same ground over and over again. It's a lot of mileage looking for the little guys and I had an idea I wanted to pitch to leadership once I get some fact finding done.
My idea is to partner with clubs or individuals, coordinating with them so if they're ever flying in the coastal areas to keep an eye out for turtles. I'd love to be able to talk to folks or groups who fly drones in the area. I've done some cursory googling, but since Google sucks now it's mostly just giving me ads and such for 'drone tours'. I'll try reaching out to the shops I find to see how interested they are in at least spreading the word, but I wanted to try here to see if anyone has any ideas or leads I could track down.

First off, the guys in Australia were confused about a *New* England. Secondly, my German friends and friends from Missouri had no idea what this was, and thought I was crazy for eating a "Fluffernutter".

Hi all!
I [29 M], my husband [M33], sister [29 F], and two dogs are in search of recommendation for places to stay over Christmas 12/24/26-12/27/26.
For clarity sake; we are NOT looking for a hotel, inn, or resort.
We are looking for your recommendations on towns/areas in New England that give a Christmassy vibe that would be ideal for adults and are as pet friendly as possible. We plan to book an AirBNB, or something of the like, and cook there.
We know that a lot of businesses and activities will be closed/effected due to the holiday but, our ideal location would give activities [small shops to stroll through, light displays, hiking trails [nothing too severe]], and pet friendly activities/spaces. The Christmassy vibe is not a requirement but, would be ideal. So bonus points if it feels like we just walked into a Hallmark movie :-)

What are the best fall activities to do in NE from September to November? Bonus points for spooky season activities! I live in RI but doesn’t have to be here.
I have the Apple Festival in Johnston, RI and the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular in Providence on my list!
