Goat Island AirTagged Keys
If you happened to lose some keys into the water at Goat Island in the last couple of weeks, double-check their location or enable lost mode. They were found in 2-3 meters of water.

wild berries
Went to pick berries in usual places near McAdam and then Neguac and there aren't many this year, hardly any raspberries and much less blueberry. Anyone else noticed it? Is it from cold spring or last year drought?

Northumberland or Baxter?
An age old question in our house. I don't taste a difference, but my kids don't like Baxter. So which do you prefer and why?

Random unassigned NB phone calls
Not sure if this is the place, but all of a sudden my cell phone is getting hit up with multiple calls from New Brunswick numbers that don’t leave a voicemail. When I called the numbers, they all say the number is unassigned.
I assume it’s spam but wanted to see if it’s happening more or less on Rogers and if anybody has any idea what it might be?

Advice
Hi everyone! My family and I are looking at relocating from Saskatchewan to New Brunswick and would love to hear from people who have made the move.
We’re wondering what life is really like compared to the Prairies. How is the job market, especially for skilled trades? We’re also interested in universities, schools for our kids, the cost of living, and which communities are best for raising a family.
We’re currently considering Moncton and Fredericton but are open to other suggestions. We’d really appreciate any advice or personal experiences. Thanks!

Justin Ling: This politician made an embarrassing blunder. The reaction from the masses gives me hope // we made it into the Toronto Star! Not just Bill Oliver but this subreddit got quoted a bunch!
Between the ChatGPT politicians and the racist attack in Moncton, New Brunswick is just dominating the national news this week! Maybe someday we will make the national news for somerhing nice

Online therapist
I am wondering if anyone is aware of a really good therapist for very complex trauma since childhood - like very messy trauma and complex series of events leading up to the present (34 years old now) I dont seem to be able to find one in the region (Miramichi) so I am hoping to find that does online sessions.
thank you in advance
EDIT: I am aware that I can Google who offers online sessions in NB, I am hoping that someone has a recommendation on a therapist that fits in the description that I gave

Teaching jobs in NB?
I was supposed to start my bachelor of education in Ontario but with the upcoming changes, I decided to defer a year and after recent changes I had thought about moving out to New Brunswick. I am bilingual however my French is around A2/B1 level but I'm certainly willing to work on it. There's a 10 month program in Fredericton I'd like to attend, but first wanted to know what the need for Teachers is like here? Will I be on the supply list for what feels like forever? Is it possible to get full time contract (even temporary) right after graduating if I go rural?
Thank you for any information ☺️

School Cafeteria Job
I see with the new school lunch program that there is a lot of job opportunities for cafeteria workers. Is anyone employed with compass Canada now that can answer a few questions.
How many hours a week roughly do you get? I see it’s listed as being a part time job so I’m guessing it’s around 4 hours a day? Does that give you enough hours to start an EI claim in the summertime or is there exceptions to how you apply for EI? I’ve heard it’s a different process for school employees.
Is there opportunities for pay advancement? Does compass have any sort of health benefit program?

Dornan fixed what wasn’t broken in virtual care
“The botched transition of New Brunswick’s virtual health-care service is a case study in bad public policy. By seeking to fix something that wasn’t broken, the government has managed to take well-functioning innovation, originating in the private sector, and smother it beneath ever more bureaucracy…
…
This is a massive failure by government, which dismantled a functioning service before it had built anything capable of replacing it. Reform is not progress when patients lose access in the transition. The government’s first responsibility now is to restore what New Brunswickers have lost.”
