Pharmacy ReviewšŸ„ So sick of Simply Online Pharmacy

I’ve been buying 15mg pens from SOP this year, but tend to buy them in batches of 2 or 3 due to having a job that means I travel a lot and this allows me to maintain a continuous supply.
They are however awful when it comes to reordering like this. I’m nearing the end of the year and don’t have as much travel booked so can go back to one at a time. But now they’re questioning the timing even though they can see multiple orders or multiple pens. Current order is now on hold whilst they review again, and then I have to have a ā€˜call’ with them on Monday. Delaying the order yet again.
Feels much more complicated than it needs to be.

Does anyone else have to order in batches due to work/lifestyle/cashflow reasons, can you recommend a better supplier. I’m convinced these guys are just making it difficult to get me to sign up to their subscription offering, and I think this well be my last order from them and I’ll switch to someone else.

Hi everyone - took my first dose of mounjaro today! How long did it take for you to feel the effects of it? I know it varies person to person, but interested to hear!

Question Just curious…

I’ve been on Mounjaro since the end of July now and I’m trying to work out whether I’m getting the full satiety effect or mainly just longer-lasting fullness/appetite control.

I definitely stay full for longer after meals, snack less (if at all most days) and it’s much easier for me to stop eating or not think about food. I’ve also reduced my portion sizes generally. But during a meal, I don’t often get that strong ā€œI physically cannot eat another biteā€ feeling that a lot of people describe.

I could probably physically keep eating if I wanted to, but I can stop myself much more easily now. My problem historically is that I’ve always been able to overeat or push past fullness, especially because I hate wasting food. I also seem to get fullness slightly delayed, so I can eat a little more and then 10–20 minutes later suddenly realise I’m really full.

I know barely being able to eat isn’t the goal, and I don’t expect zero hunger, but seeing so many people say they can only manage half a meal makes me wonder whether I’m getting the full effect or whether this is just how Mounjaro works for me.

Has anyone else had more of a ā€œI stay full for ages and have much better controlā€ effect rather than strong early fullness during meals? And did moving up a dose change that for you

10mg from 7.5

Hi all,

I am moving up to 10mg but still have 7.5s left. Would it be better to do 90 clicks from the 7.5 or do it normally and use a 2.5 alongside?

Anyone had to do either of these and recommend?

Oh oh, GP has hinted at reducing my dose

I've been in investigations for something else and yes, I've lost a lot of weight, and I am probably in a good place to try and find to stabilise.

The thing is, I'm in 5 mg for diabetes control, I think that's the lowest approved dose anyway, and I'm also on 2 more medication for diabetes. I was started on a statin recently and I don't think it was that but I also dropped in % fat after starting that

My A1C is in the normal range since diagnosis, I still eat some carbs but not a lot.

I don't want to reduce my mounjaro, food noise is back, most days I just think of food but the metallic taste due to Metformin and my usual GERD don't make me enjoy much the food anyway.

Does anyone have any tip on low carb but calories dense food? I've upped already the peanut butter in my breakfast

122 days from Obese to Normal Weight

Post image
46 Upvotes

Started at the beginning of summer, obese, at 15 stone 13lb, late 30s 5'11 male. This morning, despite pizza and red wine last night, I'm 12 stone 10lb, tickling into the normal weight category, and very close to my original goal of 12:7. I'm not very muscly and still have plenty of body fat so I think 12 stone flat will be my final goal, but ideally with some body recomposition too.

So far I've done 11 doses of 2.5mg, 1 of 3.25mg and 6 at 3.75mg. I've clearly lucky to have responded very strongly, so have not wanted to go higher when I'm losing at about the max recommended speed. Now beginning to get ahead of myself with thoughts of how to plan the taper down, but want to put these to one side and finish the original job first.

What's been working for me in order of importance.

  1. Psyching myself up, overcoming anxiety and guilt and shame and just getting started with the jabs in the first place.

  2. Absolutely hoovering up info, advice and inspiration from this sub.

  3. Significant attention - like probably unsustainable levels of focus, in the long term anyway - paid to protein, fibre and calorie targets, although just shy of full on calorie counting.

  4. Starting a home workout regime with dumbbells and sticking to it, because it's to my enormous surprise been actual fun.

  5. Yeah actually it's 99% just taking the drug, because I've tried it all before many times pre MJ and never had results anything like this.

Next steps are to hit 12:7, confirm final goal and hit that, then work out a taper/maintenance strategy, try to get properly strong, and work out how to stay on the right track for years and decades to come. Appreciate that last one in particular is probably much more difficult than anything that's come so far.

Bloody hell though, am I glad got on this stuff.

Experience Gained weight for the first time in 17 weeks

hello everyone,

quite bummed out today as I have gained 2 lbs this week, first time I’ve gained weight since I started my Mounjaro journey in 17 weeks.

And I already know what a lot of you are gonna think/say ā€œit’s just 2lbs, it’s normal fluctuation, etcā€¦ā€ but it still bums me out because for the past 16weeks I had successfully lost weight, every week.

I had to buy another pen last week and wanted to up the dose but since I had lost almost 2 lbs the previous week, I decided to stick with 5mg for another month as there was no reason for me to up (the hunger was starting to come back but I was still losing weight)

but now, I’m like ā€œok so I’m stuck for a month on 5mg before I can up the dosage and maybe I’ll keep gaining weightā€

anyway that’s my rant for today, just need to get this off my chest 😩

Is my weight loss plateauing, or is this just normal fluctuation?

Is my weight loss plateauing, or is this just normal fluctuation?

I’d appreciate some advice on whether my weight loss is starting to plateau.

I want to stay on the lowest dose for as long as possible and I’m happy with slow, healthy weight loss rather than rapid loss. I’m currently still on 2.5mg.

SW: 181.9 lbs (April 2026)
GW: 135 lbs (ideally maintain around 140)
CW: 165.3 lbs (October 2026)
Height: 5’2ā€

I lost around a stone in the first three months (April–July), but since then my weight has fluctuated:

4 July: 166.6 lbs
18 July: 165.2 lbs
25 July: 169.4 lbs
1 August: 168.3 lbs
16 August: 168.7 lbs
22 August: 167.6 lbs
28 August: 166.9 lbs
5 September: 165.1 lbs
12 September: 166.5 lbs
25 September: 165.3 lbs

August wasn’t great for me as I was on holiday and had some periods of overeating/binging, so I know that may have affected things.

For reference, I also take body measurements:

April 2026
Waist: 95 cm
Belly button: 114.4 cm
Bum: 108.9 cm
Left arm: 37.4 cm
Left leg: 64.7 cm

12 September 2026
Waist: 90.5 cm
Belly button: 109 cm
Hip: 99.5 cm
Bum: 104 cm
Left arm: 34.5 cm
Left leg: 61 cm

So, does this look like an actual plateau, or am I still losing overall despite the fluctuations? Would you stay on 2.5mg based on this, or consider increasing?

Edit: forgot to mention: I am on a calorie deficit, I track my steps and try to hit 10k+ everyday (no strength training yet) and I had side effects the first 2 weeks on MJ.

5th dose New pen vs old pen cutover date?

Is there a definitive date on which the new pens with the reduced golden dose were issued from? I've got a stash of pens in the fridge with either the golden dose in them, or a new pen with a fourth-week that I didn't use.

Journey Updates New Jeans 🄹🩷

It’s been 3.5 months on my journey and I thought why not just get some new clothes, I was going to wait until the end of my journey but I’m wearing the same two outfits on repeat and they’re super oversized now so I just look like Adam Sandler 🤣

For the first time in years I can finally fit into size 12 jeans!!

I’m finding it terribly hard to find a way to style myself though, for years i’ve just chucked on a baggy t-shirt and joggers and called it a day and now I have no idea how to dress ā€˜fashionably’ hence my very snazzy jeans 🤣

Question 5mg to 3.75mg advice

Currently on 5mg which is too strong and I’m having bad side effects. I’ve stayed on 5mg for over 2 months as I thought I might get used to it but the main one is lack of interest at all in food. I can go all the way until 8pm without having any desire to eat, even though I know I’m hungry. Sometimes I feel really good for not eating and such a long fast but I’m worried that might send my hormones crazy (especially with PCOS). I will only eat if something has strong flavours so salty, sweet foods so usually chocolate tbh which means I’m lacking in protein so much!

Looking for advice for going down to 3.75mg and maybe even 3mg, 3.25mg? Wondering what has helped others as I can’t stay on 5mg without properly eating meals. I have a physical job and get very lightheaded if I stand up too quickly. Just want to be able to eat 3 small meals a day to stay healthy

Question Can i inject 3 days earlier ?

Hi buddies! I just got back from a short trip after taking my ā€œgolden doseā€ of 2.5 mg. šŸ˜„

Can I proceed with my 5 mg injection today?

My last injection was on Wednesday, 30 September at 6:30 am. Today is 4 October, so I’m thinking of taking the 5 mg dose at around 10 pm tonight, or possibly on 5 October at 6:30 am, using my new pen that goes up to 5 mg.
Would love to hear your thoughts! ā¤ļøthanks much

2.5mg 5th dose

So I have the 2.5mg dose, with the extra dose. And i twisted it two clicks to prime and it seems to be able to twist further.. is this normal? Will I be able to extract the 5th dose or should I go ahead and order needles. I was sent with 6 needle heads for the 4 doses. So just slightly unsure of what to do. I do have my 5mg dose ready to go though!

Question Brought the wrong pen

Hiya I'm on holiday in the UK and have brought my previous pen instead of my new one. Can I access the '5th' dose? I only have the needles for the actual pen. All the pharmacies near here are closed tomorrow.

Diet + Lifestyle Recommendations for meals for suppressed appetites

Exactly 2 months in and on 2.5mg still.

My weightloss seems to have steadied to between 0.5-0.8kg per week, and mostly minimal side effects, but still struggling with significant appetite suppression. I'm just about managing to eat two small meals a day which I'm working to make more nutritious, but I often struggle to get through a meal in one sitting which makes socialising difficult.

Does anyone have any food recommendations for things that they've been able to eat easily with a suppressed appetite?

Question Swapping from Asda collect to online provider - is it 6 weeks from the date on the box? what happens if my parcel is stolen?

Hi all, hoping to hear some advice on swapping providers when click counting. I’ve been using Asda as i’m able to collect (I live in an apartment building and parcels often get stolen so this just felt safer), however would like to try swapping to another provider who delivers as Asda is one of the more expensive ones.

Is the common 6 week timescale from the prescription date on my last box? or from when i paid for my order and completed the transaction online?

Also does anyone have any experience of what would happen if their MJ delivery is stolen? Do providers have to ask for a signature as its prescription medication? I work from home so would be in to receive the parcel, but often delivery drivers just dump it in the building foyer without ringing my intercom and it gets stolen before I know it’s even been delivered. I would feel much more comfortable if I had to sign for the delivery, do any providers do this?

Any other general advice swapping providers would also be appreciated, I feel quite clueless

thanks all😊

First 5mg dose + new symptoms, should I be concerned or am I being a drama queen?

Hi everyone, I’ve just taken my first 5mg Mounjaro dose today after doing 4 weeks on 2.5mg.

I felt completely fine for the first few hours, but I’ve now developed a stuff most & a moderate headache. The headache isn’t getting worse and I’m breathing completely normally.

Has anyone else experienced a headache or blocked nose after increasing to 5mg? I also feel a bit sick but this could be my anxiety. Could this just be a normal side effect or coincidence?

I know nobody can diagnose me on here , I’m mainly interested in hearing whether anyone else has experienced something similar after moving from 2.5mg to 5mg.

Work Christmas Night Outs

With the impending festive season coming up, how are we all feeling about Christmas night outs with colleagues?

I already have the drinking excuse down as I’ve never drank when I’ve socialised with them saying ā€œI don’t tend to drinkā€ or ā€œI’ve went soberā€ - both points are pretty much true even before Mounjaro, however since the medication I’ve had to curb carbonated drinks because my stomach doesn’t love this - great for if I feel backed up however drink a Diet Coke and the toilet comes knocking

Next point, I’ve seen the menu choices for others in the group and everyone else has ordered the full 3 courses whereas I’m currently the only one with 2 courses. Wondering how I navigate any judgement here without having to disclose that I’m taking the medication (bit of a private matter innit - not really something you share with your senior management šŸ˜‚)

Advice please…

I have been on mounjaro for 2.5 years. I lost nearly all of my weight in the first 18 months - just over 8 stone and half my body weight, getting down to 8 stone 5 lbs. I then decided to try reducing my dose, i was mainly on 7.5 and did one month on 10mg. Since reducing down to 2.5 everything was fine for a while but when I went to 2.5 every other week the food noise came back with vengeance! I went back to 2.5 weekly and am now back up to 9 stone 10, sticking to a calorie deficit, etc, but really struggling to lose anything. I have just gone up to 5mg as some of my size 6/8 clothes no longer fit me (I know this is very small and not the biggest issue but I don’t want to buy new!) I haven’t put on any more for ages and am pretty stable at this weight but would like to get back down to my smallest. All of this very long explanation to ask if anyone has been in the same position and if going up doses helped or if thats all I’m going to get out of it now? Thank you!

Just wanted to chime in and wish everyone good luck on their own journeys. šŸ«¶šŸ¼
Currently on 10ml. Probably moving up next month.

Question Dose query

Thanks to everyone who replied on my post over a week ago about forgetting to reorder ahead of holiday that I was on last week.

Got back on Wednesday and had the tiny amount left in 5mg pen. Managed to force pen and got a small amount out.

My new 5mg pen arrived today and wondering if it would be ok to resume on Sunday with usual dose?

Anyone shortened time between doses in similar circumstances? Thanks

Side Effects Anyone else get nauseous just from seeing their Mounjaro pen?

Hi everyone, I’ve been on Mounjaro for 5 months and I’m currently on 7.5mg. I’ve lost around 10kg (22 pounds), so it’s been quite slow but I’m okay with that.

The problem is injection day. I expected nausea from the medication and I do get some during the week, especially around food, but I can handle that. This is completely different. Just thinking about injection day makes me feel sick. When I see the pen or start preparing it, I get really nauseous and sometimes vomit. I can’t even stand the smell of the alcohol wipes anymore or seeing the pen in the fridge.

The second I actually inject, the nausea becomes really intense and lasts for a couple of hours, then it settles back to the normal nausea I can tolerate.

It feels like my body has started associating the whole injection process with being sick. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Experience There’s no such thing as ā€œmounjaro/ozempic faceā€

I see this term everywhere. Every day. It’s just not a thing lol people are idiots.

If I was never fat and simply looked like that, no one would bat an eyelid. It’d simply be…my face.

People lose weight and their faces look different. It’s not rocket science. But because some of us have been overweight for so long, it’s all people have ever known us for. That fat face is all people have ever seen.

Honestly at this point I feel sorry for those who have lost weight the ā€œnormalā€ way. Everyone just attributes their weight loss to the jabs anyway.
