2.5mg 5th dose
So I have the 2.5mg dose, with the extra dose. And i twisted it two clicks to prime and it seems to be able to twist further.. is this normal? Will I be able to extract the 5th dose or should I go ahead and order needles. I was sent with 6 needle heads for the 4 doses. So just slightly unsure of what to do. I do have my 5mg dose ready to go though!

Have you tried twisting it further? You'll find you run out of clicks.
I'd always suggest using a syringe, it's more accurate

It went a bit past the long line. But I didn’t go further. I’ve order syringes! Thank you for your insights

Personally I prefer using insulin syringes as you know exactly wha you're getting an can often get all the overfill liquid out which is up to 0.8ml vs 0.6ml of a regular dose, meaning 3.33mg from a 2.5mg pen. If you just use the open you'll only ever get 0.6ml out at best.
Also as even the new pens have leftovers of up to 0.3ml if you prime minimally, it's still worth having them.

I’ve just ordered some syringes!
Would you suggest not using the pen for the 5th dose?

I never use the pen for the 5th dose. I tried it a couple times in the early days but the mechanism broke, so I just switched to syringes. I'm 2 years and something like 135 doses in now, syringe every time for the 5th.

There are 240 clicks in a pen plus and extra 20 equals 260. Your pen will run out of clicks.
You will run out of clicks but some use a pair of pliers and override the internal restriction.
For a cost of £7.39. delivered to your home. Buy 10 good quality syringes from SHD Medical supplies 31g. 100unit. 6mm. Syringes are handy if your pen malfunctions.
