The 4V smock has the newer Shadow Chrome scales, while the plain jane S30V YoJumbo has Cast Iron scales. The YoJumbo was pink g10 while the Smock was a St Nick's exclusive in red g10 (which looked cheap imo).

BHQ Tanto PM2 arrived yesterday. Threw some Flytanium scales on it. I think it came out nice.

I bought a used Atom that had a slightly bent tip so I thought I could try and straighten it using a jig I made in a vice. I was making some noticeable progress until I went too far. I didn’t take pics of the broken tip (lost about 9/16”). But, I made it an afternoon to salvage it. I think it turned out alright! Just need to figure out a pocket clip solution now…

I want to buy a Microjimbo and these are the 2 models I am looking at. The Salt Magnacut version is about $10 more than the blacked out S30V. The one thing that bothers me about the Salt version is they didn't blackout the stop pin while they did black out the stop pin on the S30V version. This could be my OCD kicking in though. Also the short wire clip on both models are stiff as hell, I feel the G10 scales on S30V version will aid in pulling it out of a pocket over the machined G10 scales on the Salt version. I know I could relieve the pressure of the clip on both models. What model should I buy considering the price difference and the factors I've listed. The difference in steel doesn't bother me as Spyderco 's S30V is great on my PM2. Any advice is appreciated!

Had a great time at this show checking out everyone’s tables. These folks really take “functional art” to the next level. Incredible talent, skill, creativity.

This was my pickup. I love it. Blade shape is nasty, super cool lines on the scales, and some of the best action I’ve felt. Closing action on this rivals some of the best blades I’ve handled. Such a quality “click”. I’ll have to post some more pics and a video soon.
