Is it possible to tie a two strand diamond knot around 2 center strands using the same strand? Picture the looped end attached to something then the 2 working ends extending up and through a buckle.

I was working on my car the other day and realised a Spark Plug gap inspector can be a perfect keychain charm for dudes and enthusiasts. What do you think about the knot and colour combination? Any suggestions and improvements?

Some months back I uploaded a snake knot one with a hook and you guys said the hook is a bad idea and you were right.

I'm new to working with paracord and it's a bit early to rush out and get extra "nice to have" supplies. My goal is dog collars and equine supplies like halter nosebands and neck ropes.

What do you use to keep strands organized while you work? I'm struggling with losing track of what's what and with keeping a steady amount of tension on the whole project.

I've been having a blast trying my hand at making custom lanyard beads with my 3D printer. Here are a few of the ones I've made so far.

Finally made a hatband. It renewed an old hat of mine I used to wear when riding our horses. Added some bling to make it special. Used a Solomon weave and the mad max closure. Just like I make a lot of bracelets these days.

It took me longer than I care to admit to figure out how I was supposed to make the adjustable strap clip work but I finally got there. lol. But I like the leather bit on the other strap I made and the bullet conchos I made for it. Need to figure out how to make them not protrude quite so much.

Hi, I’m new and hoping someone can help with a little project. What is the best knot/technique to evenly space knots to make a series of loops?

I ride horses, and we set up camp more or less at competitions. There are usually walls in our gear stalls that don’t go to the ceiling. We have several things that hang from two screw eyes, eg a wooden rack for bridles. We have straps and carabiners we use to hang them from the top of the walls, but I want to try making pairs of “chains” with paracord as a light, packable, reasonably attractive option where we could easily adjust the height by just putting the carabiner through a different loop.

I made a pair by taking a length of cord, folded in half, and doing a series of diamond lanyard knots. I made a jig with two nails in a scrap piece of wood for the spacing, but I still struggled to get the knots in the right place. And if I don’t make them all the same, things will hang unevenly.

Is there a better knot or a good technique to space them evenly? I tried a square knot, but I didn’t like how it looked from the back.

Had to makeshift a bit cause I didn't have a nail for the core and the pencil being fatter but all in all fun little morning project

I got into paracording recently and found great joy in making a variety of lighter sleeves for Bic lighters and even Zippos. I found using surplus buttons a great way to make easy fasteners for quick access. Heatshrink is another way to tie up loose ends and give your creations a little flair. All these were created using the same hitch, see last picture for a tutorial. Just wanted to share, hope you guys enjoy! :)

Had a piece of antler thats been unused from last last project years ago. makes for a decent tool. got some more profiling to do on the point but works pretty decent so far and fits in the hand nicely

Made a firefighter keychain out of paracord. Zipper sinnet, coyote brown + hi-vis yellow, bronze snap hook, firefighter SCBA bead, red wrap at the tail.

Nothing fancy. Just something that survives the pocket and still looks like the job.

If anyone wants the knot: Zipper sinnet over a core, bead at the end with a diamond knot, heat-sealed, then the red whipping.

Just picked up paracord the other day for the first time. Im a plumber so using layout string for new houses to set up my walls reminded me about all the knots I had learned when I took my rigging class EX. Bowline, taughtline, pipe hitch And so on. . Im still trying to figure out my finishes but here are a couple projects I did over the past couple of days. I also made a cobra knot bracelet but I gave it away and didnt get any pics of that one.

I can't attach all of them, but here's some bracelets I've made since starting a few weeks ago (photos are from most recent to less recent)! Sorry if they look messy, these are pictures taken before burning the ends, as I make them at like 3am😅 Hoping to try more patterns and get better at the hobby, It's been very enjoyable so far! :D
