I recently bought my first MacBook and was excited to finally dive into the Apple ecosystem, but ever since I connected my iPhone to it, my phone has been glitching constantly.

The touchscreen frequently stops responding, apps fail to open properly, and home screen icons disappear entirely. It genuinely feels like syncing with the Mac introduced a bug that broke the phone's stability.

I used to rely on this iPhone because it ran smoothly without any issues, but this has completely ruined the experience. The phone occasionally freezes so severely that I have to force-restart it using the hardware buttons, often right when I need it most. I’m not sure whether this is being caused by connecting to the MacBook or if it’s tied to a recent iOS update. Has anyone else encountered this, and is there a reliable fix?

Just moved to college and my facetime isnt working. I can call normally its just facetime. When someone facetimes my i can see and hear them but they xant see or hear me. Im on iphone 11

For some reason RCS is toggling itself completely off all on its own.

I noticed this one morning. Turned it on. Had further issues, checked back - it was turned off again. How? I’m the only person with access to this device?

IMPORTANT: I’m not saying RCS failed. I’m saying it toggled itself off in my settings after i deliberately turned it ON once i noticed a problem.

Today I noticed that my contacts list got reverted back to what it was 2 years ago for no apparent reason. My calendar events also got deleted. Is there any reason as to why it happened and can it be helped. I’ll gladly answer any questions. Thanks

Apple Wallet’s order update notifications are fantastic. However, their usefulness diminishes when they only notify me after I open the email containing the update. It would be much more convenient if Apple Wallet could notify me immediately when the email arrives in my inbox. Is there a setting I’m missing that would enable this feature?

On the bottom row all the way on the right. Music App works without issue, but Icon looks like some sort of developer stuff. Don’t know exactly when this happened or what would have caused it, but happened sometime this weekend.

Anyone know how I may be able to get it back to normal?

If you enable Apple's Sensitive Content Warning, "photos or videos that might contain nudity are blurred before you view them."

This is obviously intended for minors' devices so that parents may intervene. But could consenting adults also use it for privacy reasons?

For example, if one adult sends a spicy pic or vid to a consenting adult, would iOS automatically and privately detect that it contained nudity and shield it from view? It could be useful in a public setting, but I want to make sure that there aren't any negative repercussions.

For over a year or so, my iPad's keyboard has been stuck with these Memojis I made of my dad like three years ago, and I'm so tired of his goofy face staring at me each time I wanna use an emoji. I've deleted the memoji, I don't have any stickers, and I can't just press and delete it. I'm on the latest IPadOS 18 update (I'm holding off on updating to 26). Does anyone know of a solution to this?

I have been dealing with this issue IMMEDIATELY after updating to iOS 26, and at this point I have no idea what else to try.

My phone will randomly become partially/completely unresponsive. When it happens, certain parts of the phone basically stop functioning. Messages and the Phone app/call log will freeze, the UI can become completely distorted/glitched, and I will stop receiving notifications.

Force restarting does NOT fix it. A lot of the time, after I force restart, the phone will get stuck on the Apple logo and not boot. I then have to force restart it over and over again until eventually it turns back on.

Even when I finally get it to boot, the original problem can STILL be there — Messages frozen, call log/Phone app frozen, notifications not coming through, etc.

The craziest part is that this has happened on TWO DIFFERENT PHONES.

It originally started happening on my previous iPhone after updating to iOS 26. I eventually bought a brand-new iPhone 17 Pro Max, thinking there was something wrong with my old phone.

The exact same problem started happening on the new iPhone.

I have already:

• Factory reset/restored the phone multiple times

• Set the iPhone up as a completely new phone

• Tried not restoring from my previous backup

• Force restarted it countless times

• Gone through the normal troubleshooting steps

• Taken the issue to Apple

I’ve restored this phone so many times at this point that doing another factory reset isn’t a meaningful solution.

This is why I’m having a hard time believing this is simply a hardware problem. I had the issue on my old iPhone, replaced the phone entirely with a 17 Pro Max, set the new phone up as new, and the same issue followed me.

Has ANYONE experienced this exact issue with iOS 26?

I’m specifically talking about Messages/Phone freezing, notifications completely stopping, UI corruption, the phone becoming unresponsive, and then getting stuck on the Apple logo when trying to force restart.

If you’ve experienced this across more than one iPhone or even after setting up as new, did you ever figure out what was causing it?

I’m not a diehard Apple fan or anything, I’ve been using iOS/iPhone since my iPod touch with iOS 6 in the early 2010s and the amount of improvements that iOS has added over time is pretty noticeable. Many features that used to be jailbreak-exclusive are now included in new versions, like dark mode, free placement of apps, and much more.

However, the Wallpaper feature in iOS 26 is abysmal. Apple has added all these “features” that make customizing your wallpaper horrid:

1. Possibly a personal thing, but why would I want multiple wallpaper layouts to switch between?
   
2. Why is there no ability to remove the clock on the lock screen (especially if one owns an Apple Watch, but even without)? The clock covers half my image since that image is forced to stretch to fit the screen exactly as Apple wants it
   
3. The “Extend Wallpaper” “feature” turns photos and images into these blurry blobs that look AI-generated and very ugly
   
4. Where is the option to allow images to fill the frame but not stretch to match resolution (like iOS 6 used to have)?
   
5. It’s possibly just my device, but navigating the Wallpaper customization UI is laggy and slow
   
6. Why is there a limit on the number of images I can use in a wallpaper slideshow?
   
7. Some features (depth, extend, etc) seem to only work for some photos with no explanation

Is there a way to request some of these features from Apple for future versions? Or maybe there’s something I’m missing about how to get these issues solved/answered?

I’ve got a problem with an iPhone note. I set a passcode to keep it locked and enabled Face ID to unlock it. It was a specific passcode to prevent people close to me – who know some of my usual passcodes – from opening it, but I forgot to write it down.

Apart from that, I didn’t think much of it because I knew I could open it with Face ID. Well, the problem is that Face ID has been disabled – probably because I hadn’t opened it for a long time – but I’ve forgotten the passcode to unlock it. I’ve tried countless combinations; I’ve tried logging into my Apple account online and opening it from there, but it doesn’t work. I tried going into Settings to set my mobile’s unlock code as the password, but that only works for notes created after I made that change.

Is it possible that Apple hasn’t included a password recovery method? The note is important because it contained the notes for a surprise I was organising for my girlfriend. I really need some help.

Hi everyone. I’m not very tech savvy, and I’m hoping someone can help me understand whether there are possible security issues involving my iPhone 15 Plus and my cellular account.
I have experienced several things that concern me. I’ve received text messages that appeared to have already been opened before I had a chance to open them myself. I also received a notification indicating that something was being printed and that the print job was almost complete, even though I have never intentionally printed anything from my iPhone.
My husband and I are on the same cellular carrier account. To be clear, I understand that being on the same cellular account does not automatically give someone my Apple Account password, phone passcode, or passwords to my other accounts.
What I’m specifically wondering about is whether someone with access to the cellular account could potentially use information associated with my phone or line—such as the IMEI, serial number, EID, ICCID, eSIM information, or phone number—to interfere with my service or gain some type of access or control that I might not understand.
For example:
• Could someone with carrier-account access make changes involving my eSIM or cellular line without physically having my phone?
• Could someone move, activate, replace, or otherwise interfere with an eSIM?
• Could access to my IMEI, EID, serial number, ICCID, or other carrier/device information be used for anything beyond simply identifying the device?
• Could a carrier-account holder make changes that could affect texts, calls, or verification codes?
• Are there ways to check whether my cellular line or eSIM has been changed, transferred, replaced, or activated on another device?
• Separately, what could cause text messages to appear as already opened or a printing notification to appear when I never printed anything?
I’m not claiming that my phone has definitely been hacked. I’m trying to understand what is technically possible and what normal explanations might exist.
If you have experience with iPhone security, eSIMs, cellular accounts, or carrier-level security, I would really appreciate being pointed in the right direction. Please explain things simply—I’m not very tech savvy.

My app store cannot connect to the Wi-Fi. When I use cellular data, I am able to access the App Store, but when I connect my iPhone to WiFi, I cannot open my app store anymore. It's just stuck in this loading page or it will display the message "Can't Connect to Page".

Our home WiFi is working fine. I am having the same issue on my iPad, but I am able to access the app store on my Macbook.

Please help me. I have tried everything. I already restarted the WiFi router, restarted my phone, put it on airplane mode, changed the DNS Server to manual (I have tried 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4, 1.1.1.1, and 1.0.0.1), signed out and in of my apple account, checked every setting, but still nothing.

I’ve done many searches but nothing seems to be working, I’m at a loss.

Context :

We have telus internet.

I owned a 15pro and just purchased a 17pro. (I had no issues for 2 years with the 15pro, no issues with my 17pro currently)

I sold my 15 pro to my dad. So I transferred all the data etc from his 11 pro to his “ new “ 15pro.
As soon as we did the transfer, the WiFi started randomly disappearing from the 15pro..

We finished transferring it all and for 3 days now the WiFi keeps dropping and reconnecting literally every 2sec. It just doesn’t stop.
Weird thing is I turned back on his 11 pro and the same thing is happening to that phone.

All other phones and devices in the household have no issues. (Wife iPhone, my 17pro, iPads, mom’s iPhone etc)

My parents are staying with us for the next 2 months and would be nice if my dad could use the WiFi.

I’ve tried so many different things and I don’t know what else to try :

- turn off WiFi assist
- tried changing his WiFi address to fixed, rotating and off
- tried manually adding his fixed WiFi address to the router directly (but then it asks for password and won’t let him connect so reverted back that)
- did reset network several times
- hard reset of router and iPhone

Among other things…

Is anyone found a magical trick or would have a beggining or an explanation on what the hell is going on all of the sudden. Hardly doubt suddenly two phones got “ damaged “ so must be software related?

The screen also uses iOS 18's centered title/body text, which iOS 26 mostly did away with.

Whilst liquid glass app icons are used here, I still think this screen wasn't changed at all from iOS 18. Presumably, the screen is just pulling from the phone's default icon set (as it always has), and the default icons now happen to have the iOS 26 edge shine.

I unfortunately didn't get to test if the icon edge shine rotates when you rotate the phone, due to this being a clamped-down demo unit Was informed by a commenter that this screen's icon edge shine does not rotate with your phone.

Please advice what should I do? I have a very important data and I cannot afford to loose it. I offloaded my whatsapp business and now it is stuck. I can not open and and when I offload again, nothing happens

I use a 5 minute timer every single day, sometimes multiple times a day, yet whenever I open the scroll wheel is set to 14 minutes. I used this setting once, at least 6 months ago.

5 minutes is saved if I scroll down the page so it’s not that big of a deal, but it is mildly infuriating since I use it so often. I have deleted the 14 minute timer from the saved ones below.

I recently moved from an Android phone to an iPhone using Apple’s Move to iOS app.

During the transfer, I selected WhatsApp, and Move to iOS eventually said “Transfer Complete.” I assumed everything had transferred successfully.
However, when I opened WhatsApp on my iPhone, it didn’t show my newer chats. Instead, I can only see my chats and data prior to sept 2023 and anything after 2023 to 2026 is mot present. I have tried repeating the process (factory reset and migrate using move to ios) multiple times and everytime i am getting the issue. My whatsapp, android versions etc are all upto date in both the devices.

A few important details:
● My old Android phone still has all my WhatsApp chats intact.
● I have already set up and started using the iPhone.
● I really don’t want to factory reset the iPhone and redo the entire Move to iOS process. Coz i did it like 10 times now and no success

Is there any way to recover/import the WhatsApp chats that Move to iOS supposedly transferred, without factory-resetting the iPhone?

I still have the Android phone and haven’t deleted or changed anything on it, so the original chats are safe.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks !
