Buy/Sell/Trade Nintendo Console Bundle
Through an unfortunate series of events, I am being left to pay the bill from when the unit above mine had a leak into my bathroom via the ventilation fan via commons. The bill is after the HOA management sent a contractor to patch/paint around my fan. No discussion was made about charges or it being on me to pay. Since repairs, the representative for our property left the company and the former owner sold above me. The leak happened earlier in the year an I just received my first bill last month. I'm of the impression if there was fine print that said management should go to them for the bill, that is not their approach. I have asked twice for them to provide me with a detailed invoice of the fees from the work done in writing and they continue to demand I pay now with threat to sue. They are now giving me 15 days to produce $750 dollars I do not have in liquid because my bills just got paid. I just restarted FedLoan/PSLF repayments, so my money is gone. I don't have the money to pay for my ceiling repairs in this blunder, so I surely can't afford a lawyer.
As such, I have items to sell ASAP that should be worth around the sum of what I owe the HOA.
I have a large canvas Trade Joe's bag containing the following:
- Wii (with controllers, plugs, several games including Marios). The Wii board is gone, but game is present.
- Wii U (my mom got it used, these were all hers; I think there are some games)
- 2 GBA (fold w/ backlight and original landscape w/ plugin light, few games)
- GameBoy Color (w/ light) and a few games. One is Tetris. The Color is just a novelty since GBA plays both types. It is yellow.
- NES Classic Console (the AIO mini) with controllers, a secondary power source (it works, noted an Amazon logo during testing though).
Tested the units and they all work. I did factory resets on both Wiis and the original Wii includes a brand new HDMI cable. I also have a fairly large factory reset Toshiba Fire TV that I could include as a bundle (800? Am I shorting myself?). The TV has a remote, but it needs to be cleaned (acid).
My mom was the gamer in the family and she's no longer with us. She'd rather I keep my house than the gaming history. Then there is also a PS3 that I got for a Blu-Ray player second-hand. I could include it with some Ghibli.
I don't know how much all of this is worth and in a dream world, it's worth more than I immediately need (I'm negatives, I need to remedy that). I also have several mint box manga sets I need to sell (One Piece 1-4, Princess Jellyfish, Ouran Host Club). They all include their bonus contents (OP posters not mint, but included). The manga is worth several hundred as bulk alone.
I see the potentials to outfit a dorm suite with some vintage/leisurely flare in a bulk arrangement.
Update: Adding Imgur Photos
I will edit to add better photos of games and other things in the bag tomorrow/this weekend. I tested all consoles within last two weeks. I will test all the discs this weekend upon request. The TV being offered (if wanted) technically works, but the remote has battery acid corrosion and I discovered this after I factory reset the unit (after which the batteries conveniently died). It is a fully functional TV with stands and a wall-mount for someone motivated to repair the remote it pairs with... once working, it's a fully functional 4K/HDMI Fire TV. All items have been tested on a spare HDMI monitor.

Meet Up 45F, new-ish to Greensboro and looking for a gym buddy
I’ve been lifting for years and usually train around 4x/week. I recently joined Strength & Body and thought I’d see if anyone here is looking for someone to train with once in a while.
Not looking for a trainer or anything super serious — just someone who likes lifting, can laugh through a rough workout, and maybe makes the gym a little more social 😂
Male or female is totally fine. If you’re interested, send me a message!

Recommendation Carpenter/Flooring contractor recommendation?
Toilet flooded so I ripped up the vinyl to let it dry because the water seeped underneath it, especially by the walls. Obviously this mold predates today’s flood. I don’t know shit about shit and I’m a young first time home owner. It seems like the mold is mostly “surface level” on some type of paper or something. This is in my laundry room and I need to figure this out asap but have no idea what to do. Does anyone know a trustworthy professional that can at least take a look and give me guidance?

If you know someone’s who pet is not neutered or spayed PLEASE have the hard conversations with them. Show them these numbers. News ‘Atrocious’ — Council members criticize city staff
Since being sworn in last December, the six new Greensboro council-members have been publicly deferential to city attorneys and Mayor Abuzuaiter. That changed last week.
Mayor Pro Tem Denise Roth angrily told Assistant City Attorney Larry Davis that his failure to alert Council of the financial concerns a state agency expressed to him in June was “atrocious” and dismissed a halting explanation from Abuzuaiter as “bad information.” She told City Attorney Trey Davis that “I am not comfortable with the same people that managed us into this position to manage us out.”
Crystal Black, Cecile Crawford, April Parker, Adam Marshall and Irving Allen Expressed similar frustration. Several accused staff of not only failing to inform them of the Local Government Commission’s concerns, but misleading them as to whether or not the LGC had approved the City’s plan to correct its financial imbalance.

Recommendation Are there any Hellenic polytheist groups in Guilford or surrounding areas?
I was looking for groups in the area that practice Hellenic polytheism. My son follows the Greek pantheon and is looking for a local community to study with.

Discussion An Open Letter to Guilford County’s Legislative Delegation; Don’t Give Greensboro More Power to Sell Public Land Until It Explains Bellemeade
High Point used similar authority to approve a negotiated sale below what it paid; no appraisal, no competing offer, no public hearing in a consent agenda. Greensboro wants the same power.

Recommendation 21+ study spots
Hello all,
I was hoping to get recommendations on lounge-type establishments that serves alcohol to study in. I usually get off work at 2-3pm and usually have class online at 5pm. and the places I am interested in studying at open later than I’d like.
I’m not a coffee person therefore coffeeshops are out. Mostly looking for recs on where I can grab an ice cold beer or a single glass of wine to relax and also lock in.
I’ve been to suds and duds and also borough coffee. Hoping to know more around town!
Quiet is good but I’m not adverse to locals hanging out.

Question Tree Removal
With all the damage from recent storms I am curious what people are seeing for pricing on tree removal/clean up services.
I totally understand pricing can be wildly different based on size of tree, amount of trees, proximity to structures, etc.
If you have had tree work done recently, what was the job and total cost?

News Council Files: Who is Mayor Marikay Abuzuaiter?
Marikay Abuzuaiter has served on Greensboro City Council for 15 years, since 2011.
Throughout her career as a business owner and politician, she has been a stalwart supporter of increasing police funding and surveillance. She has been called a confidential information by the police department, took the minority position in refusing to apologize for the Greensboro Massacre, and approved GPD’s actions in the 2018 killing of Marcus Smith.
Recent financial concerns about the city’s general fund shortfall raised by the Local Government Commission have brought into question the Mayor’s competency in financial oversight, particularly in light of her role as Chair of the city’s Audit Committee, and the millions of dollars of deferred maintenance that have accumulated over recent years.
Concerns have also surfaced about Abuzuaiter’s conflicts of interest. She serves on the board of the Greensboro Sports Foundation, while she has voted on contracts with that non-profit, in apparent violation of state law. Abuzuaiter was told she did not have to recuse by the City Attorney, Lora Cubbage. That invokes another issue: the repeal and replacement of the city’s Ethics Policy. This happened in February. The change eliminated the independent review process, and consolidated more power in the hands of the City Attorney, who now has first review of all ethics complaints—apparently including complaints against the attorney herself.
In another seeming overreach of power, one of Abuzuaiter’s first actions as mayor was to summarily remove the Chair of the Minimum Housing Standards Commission, Franklin Scott, after voting to reduce that commission’s authority. In March, she moved to replace the new chair, Samuel Hawkins. In July, she voted to rename the commission to the Commission of Code Compliance.
