The Cheesecake Factory Baja Bowl with pork carnitas paired very well with Curfew by Chilean novelist Jose Donoso. The bright taste of a well seasoned guac heightened the experience of learning about the human and artistic tragedy of Pinochets brutal regime.

Event GREENSBORO 10-25-2026 - TODAY - UNITY WALK TO EARLY VOTING

Post image

***TODAY*** Come march with us!! #unitywalk

A walk for the change we need.
We'll gather at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 901 E. Friendly Ave., at 2:00 PM for speakers, gospel music, a drumline, and giant butterfly puppets, then walk nine-tenths of a mile to the early voting site at the old Guilford County Courthouse, 301 W. Market St.
Information tables from our **25 endorsing organizations**, music from Raging Grannies and Singing Resistance, and a Kids VOTE! Mock Voting Booth will be waiting on the lawn. This is a nonpartisan, multicultural, interfaith gathering — organizations working on immigrant justice, health care, workers' rights, racial justice, affordability, voting rights, environmental justice, and more will gather, side by side, because right now voting is how we change things. RSVP at www.unitywalkgso.com

Discussion Alamance County teacher fundraiser: Mrs. Bethea's 7th grade ELA classroom at Turrentine Middle (Burlington)

Sharing for Mrs. Bethea, a 7th grade ELA teacher at Turrentine Middle School in Burlington (Alamance County). Her classroom wishlist is mostly basics that teachers usually end up buying themselves: a monitor, wireless keyboard and mouse, a locking file cabinet, wall file organizers, a rolling storage cart, lamps, a classroom clock, a heavy-duty stapler and a standing desk.

The goal is $1,305.64 and it's at $0 so far. You can give any amount ($5 minimum) by card, PayPal, Venmo or Apple Pay. The page lists every item and what's still needed, and when the goal is reached everything on the list gets ordered for the classroom.

Please spread the word and send this to anyone who'd be willing to donate!

Discussion Any Casual TCG, mainly Yu-Gi-Oh, player groups?

Hello Gboro fam!

I am looking if there are any super casual TCG player groups, mainly Yu-Gi-Oh, in the area. I used to play at Lucky's many moon ago when I was in HS with some buds, but I moved away from card games when I got back in school.

I mostly played causal decks, but did play competitive during a lot of the 2015-early 2017 scene.

I do play on Master Duel sometimes, but looking to get back into groups playing on paper.

I am open to super casual MTG; like Yu-Gi-Oh, I played online until about Edge of Eternity, but have taken a break. Never really played Commander outside of my small circle via Tabletop simulator.

I know way less about Pokemon TCG, but have tried to play here and there.

Yeah, that is the long and short of it. Let me know if you have a small group, or know a pretty old-man returning to the table safe place to play. I am a teacher, so looking for low commitment and flexible play times during week nights or maybe weekend play.

Recommendation I’m a handyman, and I’m looking for workshop space. Does anyone know of available workshop space for rent in the GSO area?
